Edwardus couldn't deny that he was falling head over heels in love with Rose and apart of him felt like she was beginning to feel the same way about him.

As he sat watching her talking and laughing with her daughter and his sister he didn't even realize he was practically grinning at her until she turned and caught his stare and raised a eyebrow at him. He shook his head and indicated with a shake of his head that it was nothing.

His mind went back to the first time he saw her. Her beauty had blew him away. Without even exchanging a word with her he had felt a pull to her. She is just so different than the women he was use to but her difference is what made her stand out.

He loves the fact she doesn't take lip from anyone not even his mother. He felt almost like a wimpy kid next to her because he had spent so many years allowing people to control him like a puppet. Meeting her has been giving him the courage to stand up for himself and what he believes to be right. The way she had put his happiness first even after he was such a jerk to her made him realize just how blessed he is to have her in his life.

Making love to her gave him an amazing out of this world feeling. He felt as if she pours every feeling into her touch, her kisses and her love cries.

There's no way I'm letting her go. There has to be something I can do to bring a small and a even smaller island together without us having to go to war and possibly lose the throne.

I want Rose by my side as I rule. If the country wants me to become king they have to accept her, the mother of my child, the woman I love.

He shook his head and blinked rapidly. Realization sinking in.

"I love her" he whispered in wonder.

He looked over at her sitting on the edge of the pool with the girls and found her already looking at him. She blushed and looked away.

"Yes I have to fix this no matter what the price or sacrifices I have to make"

They've all been in Paris for three days now and he was glad he had decided on this surprise get away. Rose had been laughing considerably more than he's ever seen her, Emma had finally began to come out of her shell since she had been quiet since she arrived. Even Elizabeth seemed way more relaxed, almost like a normal girl her age.

These surprise get away should become a regular thing for us.

Growing up as royal children had always been hard for him and his sister. Wherever they went and whatever they did, they were always under the scrutiny of the public eye. Like as a royal child was like living under a microscope. His parents didn't make it easy for them though sometimes their father tried. Their mother however wouldn't hear of it. She often told them she would not allow them to be an embarrassment. She treated them like pets in training. By the age of sixteen Edwardus had had enough and his rather rebellious side began to surface.

By age 21 he was always featured in the headlines as Playboy prince. Not much had changed since then. That is until he met Rose. She made him want more than just one night stands, meaningless sex didn't give him the trill it once did.

He stared at her willing her to look at him. When she finally did he beckoned to her with his finger. Holding his gaze she got up and walked to him as if in a hypnotic trance. Once she was close enough he reached out and pulled her on to his lap causing her to release a startled squeal.

He wrapped his arm around her and rest his head on her chest. Her perfect size breast played as a cushion for him. He sighed in contentment when she started running her fingers through his hair in a soothing manner.

"You seem lost in thought" she said to him.

"Hmm I guess I got distracted"

"Distracted by what?"

The way her fingers stilled in his hair he could tell she must be blushing. Another thing he loves about her.

"I don't even have to see you face to know you're blushing"

"And I bet your face just got ten shades darker"

"Shut up"

She pulled on his hair and he turned and buried his face into her cleavage and groaned. When he pulled away and looked up at her he was sure she could see the hunger in his eyes.

"You're insatiable!" She giggled and playfully slapped his hand away when he reached to pull her to him.

"Don't go pulling my hair then"

"That was a punishment for teasing me"

"Hmm remind me to tease you more often."

"Oh my God"

"I love it when you blush"

She hid her face in the crook of his neck and he chuckled and hugged her to him.

"Are you happy?" He asked her.

"Yes, it scares me though"

"Why?"

"Edwardus you're in line to be the next king and I'm just a pediatrician from a small town"

"Don't do that"

"Don't do what?"

"Don't make yourself sound less than who you are Rose. You are an amazingly remarkable woman. I feel honored just to know you. I feel lucky to know the child you're carrying is mine. I would feel blessed if you made it official and allowed me to call you mine."

"I am yours. Since the day I met you"

He looked into her eyes and smiled.

"Marry me Rose"

He heard her sharp intake of breath and she stared unblinkingly at him.

"Ma-ma-marry you?"

"Yes"

"But you're a prince"

"I'm all to aware of that"

"Edwardus it would never work. Your people would never allow it"

"If they want me to be king they don't have a choice"

"I can't let you give up the throne Edwardus"

"Rose you're the only one that has ever put my happiness before anything else, don't stop now"

"I make you happy?"

"Immensely so"

"I want to say yes so badly"

"Then say yes Rose. I love you"

"I think you're I little early with the I do your highness. At least let me plan our wedding first"

With a delighted cheer he stood up and swung her around and planted the most loving kiss on her lips.

Emma and Elizabeth's mock cries of disgust caused them to pulled apart laughing.
