My race to stand
I can hear my heart beat pounding in my ears and a small amount of sweat forming on the back of my neck. I push the discomfort aside I'm so close to finishing. The ringing in my ears grows louder as a flash of darkness clouds my eyes. Shaking my arms out I push the feeling away. You may think I'm finishing a big race or working on a huge exam but the truth is this is a normal day just standing trying to pack my sons lunch for school or wash the dishes. You see I have a condition called POTS something that has taken my naive notion that a twenty five year old mother of two should be in her prime of life and thrown it on its head.
