Chad woke up to the sound of the front opening and closing. He immediately shot up and jumped off the bed, hoping it was Peyton. He made his way out the room and to the door, he was right. There stood the girl of his dreams, who was slipping through his fingers and he didn't know what to do except be honest with her.
"Hey..." Peyton spoke softly as she walked around Chad to the kitchen.
He quickly turned around to her, "I was worried last night. I get you are mad but I still want to know if you were safe."
Peyton loved that most about him. Even if he did something wrong, he still cared and worried. A majority of the time, Peyton wonders what she done to deserve a guy like Chad. He's kind, caring, loving, proud, determined— and all she ever did was hurt him, yet he still found a way to love her. She still didn't understand it until this very moment . . .
She is his first love.
"I was at Haley's. I was ok. And Chad . . . " She made her way over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, "I love you so much. It's ok if you have feelings for Brooke still, I can accept that."
He placed his hands on her waist, "I love you too and nothing's going to change that. I chose you, you're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. The one I want everything with."
He unwrapped her arms around him and took her hand in his. He guided Peyton back to the bedroom and had her sit down on the bed. The nightstand next to him, he opened the drawer and pulled the ring out. That's where he kept it until Peyton and him figured it out. He wasn't going to repurpose but he did get on one knee and slid the ring back on her finger.
She smiled as she leaned in to kiss him. Once she pulled away, she asked him to sit next to her.
"So, since we're getting back on track, I think it's the appropriate time to tell you that we're pregnant." She took his hand and placed it on her stomach, then left her hand to rest on top of his.
Chad slowly rose up from the bed, eyes wide, he was in shock. I mean, they've been trying but he didn't expect it to be kind of soon. He knew nothing about the reproductive system of women but his ego sure did build up a bit.
After a few moments of silence and unspoken shock, he finally said something . . . "Damn, I'm good!"
Peyton's arms were crossed over her chest as she playfully rolled her eyes and watched her fiancé jump up and down from excitement that he's going to be a dad.

It was eleven in the morning, Brooke and Julian were still cuddled up in bed. He was the big spoon and she was the little. His eyes soon started to open and once they did, he saw his beautiful girlfriend. And not just a moment later, Brooke turned around, face to face with Julian.
They both smiled at each other. Julian leaned in and placed a kiss on her nose. He did that every morning when he wasn't out of town, Brooke loves it.
"So. . . " He moved a strain of hair behind her hear, "How was your date with Chad?"
Brooke quickly sat up, "You promised you weren't going to make a big deal."
Julian then sat up as well, "And I'm not. I'm just asking a simple, harmless question."
Brooke sighed in defeat, "Well, it was fine. We went out and yeah." Brooke soon got off the bed and began to make her way out the room to the bathroom, Julian followed of course.
Brooke was just about to shut the door but quickly turned around once she heard . . .
"Did anything happen?" He awkwardly scratched the back of his head, knowing damn well Brooke was going to be pissed.
"Are you serious right now? Don't you trust me?" Brooke now had her arms crossed over her chest, her eyebrows furrowed.
He placed both his hands on either of her arms, "Of course I trust you. I just don't trust him. I mean, he's your ex— you were in love with him. Remember when he slept with Peyton? He kind of stole her from Lucas."
Brooke let out a frustrated sigh, "One, Peyton isn't an object. Two, how do you know? And three, you barley know Chad!" She threw her arms in the air.
"I just don't trust him, ok?" He shrugged. He didn't know what else to say.
"It seems more of you don't trust me." Brooke softly said before closing the bathroom door shut in his face.

"Hales, is there something going on between Chad and Peyton?" Nathan was sitting at the island eating breakfast. Since Peyton slept at their house last night, he couldn't help but think of maybe.
"I was thinking the same thing." Haley mentioned just right before Jaime ran into the kitchen, starving for breakfast even though it was close to noon.
Haley pulled out the same thing she did for Nathan and that was cereal. Just as Haley was getting a bowl out the cabinet, there was a ring of the doorbell.
Nathan and Haley both shared a small look before he got up and made his way to the door, answering it. Peyton stood there with a smile on her face once the door was open.
"Didn't you just leave?" Nathan's index finger was pointed at her with his eyes squinted and eyebrows furrowed.
That smile was still on Peyton's face, "Yes but I really need to speak to your wife."
Nathan stepped to the side, letting Peyton in. He closed the door and began to head back to the kitchen where everyone else was. He went back to the table and finished eating his food before him and Jamie went off to the river court.
Roughly about five minutes later, Jamie and Nathan headed to the court where they were meeting skills and Lucas. That gave Peyton to share with Haley the real reason of why she came back over. She figured if she told her in front of the boys, they will tell Chad so that's why she waited.
"I thought they were never going to leave." Peyton sat on a stool in front of the island, "So I was wondering if you would help me with invitations to the wedding?"
"Wait— so nothing's going on with you and Chad?" Haley bit into her apple. Considering what she witnessed this morning, she figured.
"Nope, we're all good. Why?" Peyton was making sure she didn't know anything.
"It's just—" Haley leaned her forearms on the counter, "You spent the night here."
Peyton sighed, "There was something but we fixed it. No need to worry." With a clap of her hands she began to tell Haley the real reason she came back over, "Now, the reason why I came back is because I was hoping you would help me with wedding invitations?"
Haley's eyes grew wide, "Oh my god, yes!"
"Great!" Peyton exclaimed. "I already have Brooke helping me with my dress so this is going to be fun!"
The two woman continued to dish about the wedding and share ideas for the invitations. The wedding was only a couple months away and Peyton couldn't be more excited. She did think about telling Haley then and there about her pregnancy but she decided not yet. It wasn't a secret or anything, she just didn't want to seem greedy by spreading more of her good news. She didn't want to overbear anyone.
