Chapter 26: The Gardens

This is the last chapter for this book then it's on to: Making Decisions (Book Three in the Aerlinniel's Secret Series) I Would like to dedicate this last chapter to: starlight_nova11!!! :D Thank you for the kind words that you sent me! <3

Elarinya POV

My eyes open to the bright sun shining on my face. It's warm rays calm me until I realize, Where's Aerlinniel? I then hear someone shouting from the hall saying, “They're back." Aerlinniel must be back!

They must be going to the throne room, because they are not at the front entrance. I make my way to the throne room and silently walk in. I look around to see some guards, an older looking man and Legolas. But, I don't see Aerlinniel. Where is she?

I know it's not a good idea to interrupt, but I need to know where Aerlinniel is. “Where's Aerlinniel?" I ask, trying not to be too loud. The older looking man looks at me with a look of pity in his eyes.

“I will explain everything to you later. For now, go to the gardens. I will be there later. For right now, I need to speak with King Thranduil.

I recognize him, although I don't know from where. I give him a nod and follow his orders. I head to the Gardens wondering what has happened.

Legolas POV

After Aerlinniel's sister, Elarinya, left. Gandalf continued telling what happened to my Ada, King Thranduil. Ever since I found out about Aerlinniel trading places with me. And the spell that could possibly be put on her, I have not been able to think straight.

She's gone and it's probably all my fault. If I would of been paying better attention, I would not of been knocked out. And that means that Aerlinniel would still be safe.

I can't help but think of her beautiful long, wavy hair. That shines silver as the stars in the sky. And her amazing eyes that I always seem to get lost in, that look like snowflakes falling on a winter's day.

I feel tears starting to form in my eyes as I think of Aerlinniel. I miss her so much even though I just saw her yesterday. But, the only difference now, is that she's gone.

The tears are threatening to spill, but I won't let them. I won't cry in front of these people. Just when I thought we had her back, she gets taken. And it's my fault, all my fault.

Elarinya POV

I have been waiting in the Gardens for a while when I see the older man from earlier approaching. I sit up straight and I am anticipating what he has to say. All I can think is please let Aerlinniel be safe. But there's something in my heart that makes me not believe she is.

He stares at me for a minute, and then asks, “Do you know who I am, Elarinya?"

“You look very familiar. But sorry, I do not know who you are." I answer truthfully.

“I helped your sister when she was younger. Taught her things that her parents could not teach her about being blind." He tells me.

All of the sudden, the memories come back to me. Seeing him teach my sister, and me, some things. “Your Gandalf, right?" I ask.

“Yes, I am Gandalf." He says while giving me a sad smile. I can tell he has bad news.

“Where's my sister? Where's Aerlinniel?" I plead to him to tell me where she is.

He gives a small sigh before telling me, “Aerlinniel has been taken by Lithôniel, your uncle."

No, this cannot be happening. She can't be gone, not again. And just as I thought I could have my sister back. I can't loose her. “Gandalf. We have to get her back."

No Ones POV

Elarinya and Gandalf are in the Gardens formulating a plan to get Aerlinniel back. They just hope that Lithôniel dos not decide to put the spell on her.

While Legolas is in his room trying to keep calm so he can think of a way save Aerlinniel. He is having trouble keeping from crying because he is afraid, if the person who took her does put the spell on her that Gandalf told him about, that he might never get her back. She might be gone forever.

And, miles away, Aerlinniel sits on a horse wondering to herself, 'Why has all this happened to me?' She has no idea where she is going or what's going to happen. The main thing is, that she is hoping that Elarinya and Legolas are both safe. All she knows is that she has to get back to them. She is determined to get back to them.
