Bleeding Skies
My eyes watch the evening sky,
As blue fades into nigh,
But just before the light goes dim,
I see colors release,
Piece by piece.
Red floods the celestial plain,
Bleeding sorrow for life's pain.
Blood streaks the heavens
At half past seven,
Mingling with the clouds.
It promises the guilt and shame
Entangled with your name.
Red floods the celestial plain,
Bleeding sorrow for life's pain.
Eventually, the lazy sun
Retires where it begun.
The bloody skies drain
And turn to pitch,
Fast as flipping a switch.
Red leaves the celestial plain―
You still bleed for life's pain.
