Ryu POV

Ryu: You know, I really didn't expect my day to go like this. It actually started pretty relaxing. First we all went to the resort and had a fun time, then these pricks came along and kidnapped Erza Happy and Hiro, then I found out about her past, and now I'm CHASING HER IDIOT FRIEND WHO HAS HER TRAPPED IN A CARD!!

I was chasing Sho for the past 15 minutes trying to reason with him to let Erza go and let me at least help him with Jellal. I was rapidly losing my patience as we went around.

Sho: I'll deafest Jellal myself!!!

Erza: Sho let me out!!

Sho: I won't let him hurt you!!

Ryu: Someone is gonna get hurt if you don't let her go! If what Erza says is true than Jellal is as powerful as me! You can't beat him especially if your alone!

We kept running until we saw flower petals falling.

Ryu: Wait what the heck?

I saw a woman with pink hair holding a katana walking towards us.

???: Konicaiwh, I am the one the call Ikaruga. Who might you be?

Ryu: 'Where is that music coming from?'

Sho: Get outta my way lady, don't make me hurt you!

Ikaruga: Dear me, why must I be burdened by such a borish man.

Sho: I warned you!

He threw cards that went through a magic circle at her at high speeds. She quickly took out her katana and sliced every card. For a second nothing appeared to have happened to them, but they were all split down the middle and disappeared.

Sho: Who'd you do that?!

Ikaruga: My katana is able to cut through anything with extreme precision.

Sho: Well that sword of yours won't scare me!

Faster than I blinked she cut the floor below Sho, as well as shredding the cards in his hand. But something else happened to him.

Sho: No I can't move!

He fell down to the floor surprising me.

Ryu: Wait what? There's no visible wound on him. Can your blade somehow cut someone nerves too?

Ikaruga: That's right. Don't challenge my Mugetsu style.

Ryu: 'Well this is gonna suck.' Big deal you beat someone who was way to overconfident in his skills that are sorely lacking. Try fight someone who's had years of experience in the front lines like me.

I grabbed my scythe and got into my stance.

Ikaruga: As you wish.

I ran forward and and got ready to swing my scythe. Before I could attack I saw she was about to strike. I avoided the slash by doing a spinning front flip over her. As I was about to slash at her back, she turned around and blocked the attack.

Ikaruga: Impressive. You managed to see my attack coming and dodge it accordingly.

Ryu: This isn't my first time fighting someone who uses a katana.

Ikaruga: I can tell, but did you notice.

I looked at her blade and saw that she was using the scabbard to black the attack. As she was about to swing I pushed off her sheath to avoid getting sliced in half.

Ryu: Yikes, that was a close one.

Ikaruga: Check again.

I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my chest. I looked down to see the was a shallow slash mark. I clutched my chest and chuckled.

Ikaruga: What do you find so funny?

Ryu: Usually swords either bounce off or shatter. I'm pretty surprised by this wound minor or not.

I saw the card Erza was in flutter down as I started to sweat. Ikaruga started slashing at the card Erza blocked it with her sword.

Sho: She can cut across the dimensional rift?!

Ryu: No dip Sherlock!

She was sending a barrage of slashed that I wasn't able to fully block. In the end she pushed me back a very large margin and cut me mostly on my arms.

Ryu: God that was hard to block. On the bright side-

Erza's card began to glow as she was freed.

Ryu: Yeah you weakened the barrier enough for her to come out, that's what I thought.

I fell to my knee and started panting.

Ryu: Alright Erza you can take her now. I'm gonna stop for a minute.

Time Skip until the important stuff happens.

Ryu: 'Wow, Erza is really getting her butt handed to her. Every armor she's used has been destroyed. I might need to intervene soon.'

I saw Erza transform into an outfit that had no armor whatsoever. At this I smiled.

Ryu: Looks like you finally get it huh Erza?

Ikaruga: Is this some kind of joke? Why would you trade your armor for an outfit made of regular cloth.

Sho: REQUIP!!

Ryu: Shout one more time bet I won't knock you out.

Ikaruga: Is this peculiar form of dress intended to mock me?

Sho: What are you doing? You don't stand a chance against her like that! I'm sure you've got all kinds of heavy duty armor right? You've gotta stay strong!!

A vain busted in my head and luckily he was right next to me so I dropped my fist on his head.

Ryu: Shut up and watch.

Erza: I can't do that, because I have never been strong.

Ryu: 'That's a stretch but not completely inaccurate.'

Erza: It's all a lie. As a child I watched as those close to me suffered. I lost loved ones because I didn't have the strength to protect them. I tried to be strong. But when I was alone U couldn't hide my emotions. I decided in order to convince everyone I was strong, I would hide my heart away inside a suit of armor. There, no one could see that it was broken. I wear armor to conceal my weakness from the rest of the world. Without it, I've been to afraid to fight.

Ikaruga: Wear it or not, it doesn't matter. I'll strike you down all the same.

Erza: I thought my armor protected me but it did more harm then good. It shielded me from pain but it kept be distant from others. My heart was to guarded to connect with anyone. That is, until I joined Fairy Tail. Everyone was so warm and caring that my cold shell became to crack, and I began to feel emotions again.

Sho: Sister...

I saw that he began to cry.

Erza: I can't rely on my armor anymore. I know I'm strong enough to defeat you without it. Now!

They both lunged at each other. When they landed I could instantly tell who won. Ikaruga's sword shattered as she fell to the ground. I could feel that she was about to monologue so I ran over to her.

Ryu: NO!

I chopped her in the back of her neck knocking her out.

Ryu: Well that was a long battle.

Erza ran over to me with a worried look in her eyes.

Erza: Ryu are you ok?

Ryu: Don't worry, the cuts may look bad but everything is minor. Nothing that won't heal in or leave a scar.

Erza: Good.

She grabbed me by the jacket and started slapping me.

Erza: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!! WHAT MADE YOY THINK PROVOKING HER WAS A GOOD IDEA?!!!!

Ryu: OUCH!! STOP THAT!

Erza: YOU DESERVE THIS!!

Ryu: You and I both know I've done many more dangerous things! I have fought a Dragon and came out of it alive! This doesn't faze me!

I started to see a tear in her eye:

Ryu: 'Damnit it all not again.'

She wrapped her arms around me for a tight hug.

Erza: Don't ever do something that stupid again.

I wrapped my arm around her.

Ryu: You know that's not happening.

Erza: I can try.

We finally broke apart.

Erza: Ryu go find the others and get far away from this place.

I started pulling on her cheeks and was losing my patience.

Ryu: Erza I swear to God.

Erza: Please. I know it might be hard but I know what I'm doing.

She smiled. I thought about things in my head before I mentally grinned like a maniac even though I was keeping my poker face on the outside.

Ryu: *Sigh* Fine. I trust you. 'Ryu you are to good.' Come on Sho!

I grabbed him by the collar and started flying off.

Sho: I can't believe you were so compliant.

Ryu: Oh I wasn't. As soon as I grab Natsu I'm flying straight back to her at full speed. Now hang on tight. I'm gonna drop you off to were the others are.

Natsu POV

???: ...Come one come on come come on come on-

I started to here a noice.

Natsu: Whats that noice?

Down the hallway I saw Ryu flying in at high speeds to me.

Natsu: HE'S NOT SLOWING DOWN!!

I ducked for cover and when I opened my eyes I saw that my feet were off the ground. I looked up and saw that Ryu was flying me.

Natsu: Hey what did you go and grab me for?!!

Ryu: Long story short we're saving Erza.

I looked up to see that a massive magic circle.

Ryu: OH MY GOD THATS THE ETHERION BLAST!!

He started flying even faster in hopes of getting to Erza in time.

Ryu&Natsu: ERZA!!!!

There was a whole lot more shaking and there was suddenly a big white light.

Ryu POV

I blacked out for a minute before opening my eyes to see Lacrima. all around us.

Natsu: Ugh, what in the heck just happened to this place?

Ryu: I don't know but we should be dead right now. The Etherion Blast should've blown us to smithereens.

I dusted my shoulders off.

Ryu: Whatever. Listen we gotta go now. I don't wanna waste to much energy so we'll have to go on foot.

We started running to the top of the tower.

Erza POV

Jellal pushes me into a Lacrima crystal and I was getting absorbed.

Jellal: You know I really did love you, Erza.

Erza: No! Stop!!

Jellal: Oh great and powerful Zeref, I call upon you, and offer this woman's flesh!

Erza: Don't do this! Please Jellal!

I started going numb from the pain and before I was fully absorbed, I heard a familiar voice.

Ryu: WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!! Magma Dragon: SCORCHING FIST!!

Ryu punched Jellal straight in the face as I saw Natsu pull me out.

Natsu: Erza is an important part of our Fairy Tail family.

Ryu: We won't let you touch her.

Jellal was sent straight into a crystal. Ryu ran straight over to us.

Erza: Natsu, Ryu...

Natsu: Geez. What are you doing hanging around with this looser? If we don't hurry up and get back to work, Lucy isn't gonna be able to pay her rent.

Ryu: Yeah, she might be scarier then I am when she's mad.

Erza: Sorry, but I can't move.

Natsu: No way.

He had his signature toothy grin and started tickling Erza for some reason, which I was laughing hysterically at. She was laughing so hard the she was almost crying.

Erza: HAHA THIS IS SERIOUS SO QUITE GOOFING OFF STOP IT!

Ryu: Ahhh your evil.

Erza: Both of you, you need to get out of here as fast as you can.

Ryu: No can do Erza. If we bothered to come back here then why would we leave so soon? I gotta teach this guy a lesson for what he's done.

Erza: You can't, he's to powerful. Besides you don't know anything about him.

Natsu: Who says we need to know the guy to beat him up?

Ryu: I'm pretty sure my resent punch said otherwise about his strength.

Jellal had gotten up and dusted himself off.

Jellal: That was just a sneak attack. Next time you won't catch me off guard.

Erza: Please... Just this once do as I ask you.

He sighed and picked me up.

Ryu POV

Erza: What are you doing?

Ryu: To be honest, I didn't really know you that well at first either. But I was still able to-

I chopped her in the back of the neck knocking her out.

Ryu: -Take you down.

I caught her before she fully dropped to the ground.

Jellal: To be honest I didn't think you would be the one to be so fool hardy. What kind of satisfaction do you get from striking a defenseless friend?

Ryu: Not the kind you do having her be tormented for years of her life I'll tell you that.

Natsu: I wanted to do it too. Because she was crying...

Natsu's fist ignited with flames.

Natsu: She looked so weak and fragile. Her voice was trembling with fear.

I started to glow while my Aura flared to life.

Ryu: There's no way I could just see her in so much pain. I couldn't forgive myself if I just left her to cry like that. That's why, we're gonna defeat you and make sure you don't hurt her like that. Not again.

My aura exploded upwards.

Ryu: But I need to know, why do you look so much like a friend...
