The next day, Gray picks up Juvia for school, and she scowls the whole way there.  Gray wonders what took away the lovely smile to his dear Juvia. He wishes to see her smile once more.  He does not question her about it as he parks the car, opens the door for her, and hands her backpack to her.  He walks to class with her and sighs as she goes to her desk without so much as a word to her.

       Lucy thinks the whole behavior between Gray and Juvia is rather odd.  Well, sure Gray is his usual self, but what about Juvia?   She can tell her best friend is upset why else did she give Gray the silent treatment.  She wonders what did he say to her?

      After school,  "Gray, what did you say to Juvia?"  Lucy asks.

   "Yes, man, Lucy tells me Juvia is rather upset,"  Natsu agrees.

   "I do not know what the matter is honest," Gray says.

      Juvia does not look in Gray's direction let alone speak to him. It is as if she refuses to acknowledge his presence at all.  She thinks Gray does not love me.  She believes he only dates her to get the other girl he wishes to be with to notice him.  She feels rather sad about the whole thing.

   "Juvia, I will give you a ride home,"  Gray says.

    Juvia climbs into the car but does not say a word. 

      Natsu and Lucy shake their heads and leave together.

       Gray drives Juvia home in the same silence as on the way to school.  A few minutes later, he pulls into the parking lot, parks, gets out and opens the door for her.  He follows her to the porch, and she turns around.

   "G-Gray, just go.  J-Juvia, can not do this a-anymore,"  She mutters.

    "Juvia, what is the matter?  Did someone wound you?"  Gray asks. He sounds worried about her.

    "No, but..." Juvia begins to say.

   "Oh, thank goodness," Gray says. He hugs her.

     "G-Gray, do not d-do th-this t-to m-me,"  Juvia says.

    "Juvia, I am your boyfriend, so what is wrong?"  Gray asks.

    "It is you that is what is wrong,"  Juvia yells at him.

   "What did I do?"  Gray asks.

"You love some other girl, but you are still nice to me.  You kissed me the other day and it made me feel special.  Only, it does not matter because you do not love me,"  Juvia blurts out angrily.

"Juvia, you have it all wrong," Gray remarks.

"Oh, do I?  Then, tell me who is she?  Who took G-Gray F-Fillbuster from me?"  Juvia asks.

  "Juvia, I can explain,"  Gray says.

"Explain, what there is nothing to explain,"  Juvia says. She is about to slam the door.

     Gray reaches over and grabs her wrist.  He looks into her eyes, and kisses her on the lips once more.  He sees a tear form in her eyes and wishes to erase it. He pulls away.

  "G-Gray, I d-do not understand,"  Juvia says.

   "Juvia, the girl I love is..." Gray says.

"I do not want to know," Juvia says. She looks away and sobs.

  Gray, touches her arm gently and says, "Well too bad because I love you."

    Juvia looks back at him and smiles. She thinks Gray loves me. She smiles bigger than she has in years.
   
"D-do you m-mean it G-Gray?" Juvia asks.

 "Yes, I love you," Gray replies.

Juvia laughs and says,  "I feel silly because I was jealous of myself."



Two years later, Gray and Juvia are together on a nice picnic. Gray hands Juvia a funny looking box.   He watches as she opens it and smiles at her.  He gets down on one knee, and asks, "Juvia, will you marry me?"  

Juvia replies, "Yes, Gray Filibuster, I will be happy to marry you because I know you love me as no one else ever has for that matter." 

   Gray and Juvia celebrate their engagement with a kiss!  Then, they make sure to go and tell Lucy and Natsu the good news.   Lucy and Natsu are ever so happy for them both.


  Six months later, Gray and Juvia get married.  The pastor smiles as a lovely couple exchanges their vows. Natsu and Lucy watch and smile at them too.  Next, Natsu and Lucy get married as Juvia and Gray watch them.

     Juvia the girl who was said to never smile now she smiles all the time. She smiles for him for Gray.  She loves her husband as he loves her.
