The Sensei banged on the cymbal, annoying his sleeping students. "Evil never sleeps, and neither should you." They all begrudgingly got out of bed. "Especially since you only have two of the golden weapons at hand." Wu said, not trying to mask his disappointment. He wished he could rely on his students more, but they were simply undisciplined.

"Yeah yeah, we get it, we should have been more careful." Jay complains, laying face first on the floor. "The past is in the past, I only ask for you to learn from this." His students were now more awake, ready to train, but seeing as their new home was in ruin, he noted what their first lesson should be. "I think for today, you will be doing chores.

Again, his students complained. "Ninja fight, Sensei, they don't clean." Cole argued. "In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from."

In hindsight, respect should have been the first lesson to be taught, but this will make up for that. "I expect things to be spotless when I return, so put your backs into it." He said, banging his cymbal one last time.

The Sensei left his students to clean.

"Ugh! This is gonna take forever." Kai groaned. "I, for one, don't mind cleaning if it is to show respect for our new home." Zane said, picking up a broom to sweep up the sand. "Eh, I'm not dealing with that, wake me up when Sensei gets back." Kai yawned, turning to his side to go back to sleep.

Cole picked up the pile of sand, throwing it onto Kai. "ARGH!" "Zane, you're smart, know a way we can wrap this up fast?" The earth ninja asked. "If the two of you had your weapons, it would have been done in a more efficient manner, but since that is out of the equation, we should start with Jay using his weapon to bring back the electricity." "Let's get to it then."

___

Nya and Wu were met with the ship cleaned and four boys laying tiredly on the floor. "Wow, hard to believe you guys did all this." She teased, looking around the ship. "Ninja don't just fight. . . Apparently they clean too." Cole said with panted breath. "You've exceeded my expectations, but can you keep them up?"

There was honking from outside the ship, immediately catching Jay's attention. "Looks like we got visitors." Nya pointed out. "Ugh, it's my parents, please, if they start yapping, just don't let them keep going, they don't know when to quit and if you start talking they'll start talking, and suddenly half the day is gone-" "Alright, we get it, sheesh."

Jay walked over to his parents, forcing a smile. "Ma! Pa! What are you doing here?" "What? Are we not allowed to miss our son?" His father joked, Jay just rolling his eyes.

"Oh! Jay, you wouldn't believe the girl I met in Jamanakai a few weeks ago, she was such a cutie, and your type." "MA!" Jay says, cheeks red from embarrassment. "Don't worry, sweetie, I only said good things about you." She hummed, reminiscing of the girl. "Jay, why not give your parents a tour?" Jay internally groaned in annoyance, forcing a smile onto his face again. "Yup, yeah, good idea."

They made it to the location on the map, stepping into a gloomy looking forest. (Y/n), while following the child, was trying to find ways to keep the Serpentine in check. For the time being, she didn't need to worry about Skales. He just wanted to better the lives of his people.

Fangpyre she didn't know how she would deal with if they were to immediately turn on them. With the previous general, at least they had him in a trance, Fangpyre didn't necessarily have any significant weaknesses she could use.

"Hey! Are you even listening?" He yelled. (Y/n) sighed, looking down at the boy. "Forgive me, young lord, I was lost in thought, I will refrain from absent-mindedly thinking." "O-Oh, good." He said, looking back at the map.

"This place sure is scary looking, not that I'm scared or anything, but if you're scared, you're allowed to hold my hand."

The boy flinched when he felt her hand grasp his, becoming flustered by her touch. "S-See, I'll protect you, nothing to be scared of." He reassured, slightly losing his balance as he felt his foot sink down. When raising it, he saw he had stepped on some sort of button.

"That is such an idiotic placement." She said, watching as the tomb opened and the serpents jump out.

She felt the child hide behind her, being under her cloak.

"Who, may I ask [sssset us free] from our imprisssonment?" The two-headed serpent asked, their fangs out.

"I, L-Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon."

(Y/n) continued to stare at the serpent, watching for any striking movement.

"We let you free so we could have revenge on the Hypnobrai."

The, presumably, Generals hissed in distain, their tail shaking with irritation. "That hypnotizing deceiver." One of the heads hissed. "[It would be a pleasure.]" The other agreed.

The child was pleasantly surprised by the turn of events. "Oh? Well then, let's start a war." It was only for a brief moment, but (Y/n) noticed the way some of the serpents flinched at the mention of war. "Now isn't the best time to start a battle." She advised. "The girl is right [our numbersss are few] and we need recruitmentsss."

The boy thought on it for a bit, wondering why they needed more people. To him, it was enough serpents and (Y/n) was there. "What do we do then?" He asked. The only answer he got was a hiss before the Generals slithered away.

The child looks between (Y/n) and the leaving Generals. "Uh, do we follow them?" He asked. (Y/n) only shrugged. "I will go wherever you go." She answers, the child smiling as he went to follow the serpent.

An hour into their walk and her Lord's son seemed to be exhausted. Luckily for them, there was a structure they were nearing. "Oh, what's that sign say?" The boy asked, pointing at the colorful lighting letters. "Ed and Edna's scrap 'n junk?" She answered.

The Fangpyre jumped onto the machinery as soon as they entered, biting into them. "Are they eating junk?" The child asked, tilting his head. "Fangpyre are able to transform objects into an army, I think they give them sentient, I am unsure." She answered the best she could as she wasn't fully acquainted with how their bite worked. "Correct." One of the heads said. "[We can also turn humans.]" The other answered.

The child, spooked, hid behind the girl as she pointed the sword of flames at one of the heads. "If their is even a nick, you lose a head." She responded, the child giving a smug look.

"You humansss are so sssensitive. [We were only joking.]" They slithered away, (Y/n) giving the sword back to the boy. "Were you really going to cut off their head?" She paused, tilting her head down to look at him. "If he posed a threat, yes."

There was a honking sound, and none of the Fangpyre bothered to hide. (Y/n) sighed in annoyance, forming a sword for the incoming intruders.

"Oh, dear, we have visitors!" A familiar sounding woman said. "Oops, sorry for the long wait, fellas." A male added.

The snakes looked at eachother in confusion while (Y/n) continued to have her guard up.

"Oh! Honey, that's the girl I met back at Jamanakai, how have you been, dear?" The woman asked, walking closer to her.

The sword in her hand disappeared as they were face to face. "Your sense of danger is rather lacking." She said, slightly smiling at how excitedly the elder looked at her.

"Hush now dear, I'm sure you wouldn't hurt a fly." (Y/n) remained silent at that comment. "You've made friends." She stated, (Y/n) looking down at the boy who just looked between the two.

"Oh, are they hungry? Ed, I'm going to make dinner for everyone, set up some tables!" She yelled, the male giving her a thumbs up.

At the sound of that, all the Fangpyre stopped what they were doing in favor of eating. "Come dear, help out this old timer." "Uh-" (Y/n) was dragged into a vechile like house. Once inside, she snatched her hand back. "What are we gonna cook?" The child asked.

"Hm, we will be making fish, you can go to Jay's old toy box to play." The child's eyes glowed as he went digging through a box full of toys.

(Y/n) flinched when she heard a clicking sound and the sound of fire forming. "Wh-What is the use of that?" She asked, backing away. "Be a dear and grab the bag of fish in the fridge."

She frowned, going to where she was pointing and grabbing the bag she was told to get. As she was making her way out of the house, the elderly woman stopped her. "Where were you going, we need to cook that first, silly girl."

(Y/n) tilted her head, handing her the bag.

She watched as the fish was placed on a pan, watching in confusion as the lady burnt it. Her confusion quickly turned into a desire to eat as the smell emitted from it was good.

"I did not know you could burn meat." She said in complete awe. She noticed the small frown the elder had, but it was soon replaced with a smile. "Would you like to learn, I don't mind sharing a few family recipes." "Yes! Thank you!" She excitedly said, going closer to her as the woman instructed her.

Another few hours, and they made enough food for everyone. (Y/n) helped serve out the food, while the rest of the serpents began eating.

Everyone was served, and (Y/n) happily ate the cooked fish, unable to hold back the satisfied hum.

"This is the best food I ever had! When I take over the world, I'll make sure to spare you." The child said, grabbing a second serving.

The elder woman only laughed at his comment.

"You all can rest up for the night, I wouldn't want any of you or your friends to go traveling at night, my son said something about it being dangerous at night these days." The man said, the woman nodding along. "Ed, you go set up the bed, come dear, I'll take you to Jay's old room."

(Y/n) grabbed a few more fish before following.

Her and the child entered a room colored in blue. She noticed a collection of pictured books, muscular dolls, and rusty junk. "Your son tinkered with machinery?" She asked. "Oh yes, my boy tried so hard to build things like his father." She said, giving a small smile.

(Y/n) lifted a photo frame of, who she assumed to be, the son. He didn't really look like them, but she didn't make any remark.

"Have a good night's sleep, dear." With that, she left. The child immediately made himself comfortable on the bed. (Y/n) sat on the floor beside the bed, slowly drifting to sleep.

___

"You two are the nicest pair of humansss I've ever met." One of the serpents said, shaking the hand of the elderly man. "Oh, well, we try our best not to judge much." He responded.

"When we drive the human race down underground, we will make sure you aren't a part of it."

The elders laughed, taking it as a joke, while (Y/n) let out a small smile at their oblivious nature. She gave the golden weapons to two different serpents, warning them not to have them touch and to occasionally set it down when they felt it start to harm them.

"Come by anytime, and tell others about Ed and Edna's scrap 'n junk." Ed said.

The serpent nodded, going back to the machines that the elders gave to them. "D'aw, I was hoping they'd stay a while longer, it's been some time since we had visitors." Edna sighed sadly.

(Y/n) paused, slightly hesitant to speak. "I could... visit from time to time." She said, Edna wearing the largest smile. "Oh dear, please, you are welcome here anytime!" She said, tightly bringing her into a hug.

The girl flinched before lifting her hand to hug her back. It was uncomfortable, but she endured it until she was let go. "I have to go wake up the young lord now." She awkwardly said, rushing out of the situation.

She entered Jay's old room, seeing the child already awake. "We are just about to departure, my lord." She says, the child pouting. "I don't wanna go yet."

It was evident he enjoyed his time here, if he really wanted to stay, she wouldn't stop him. But she did worry about what the Fangpyre might do. They were the ones who actually had a grudge with the Hypnobrai.

Suddenly, a battle was heard from the outside, causing the child to perk up. "Wh-What's happening?" He questioned, as both of them made their way outside.

The ninja and Fangpyre were fighting amongst each other, the child hiding deeper into her cloak when spotting the old man.

She walked around the fight, holding onto the boy to make sure he wasn't dragged into it.

"What is the meaning of this!"

Everyone froze, (Y/n) included.

Edna had her hands on her hips, glaring at the fighting group.

"M-Ma! You're okay-" The blue ninja immediately shut up when his... mother whipped her head towards him, glaring.

"Whatever you all are fighting about can be taken outside or in a civil discussion." She stated, one of the serpents hesitantly walking to her. "B-But they ssstarted it." He accused, getting his hand slapped by the woman. "So then you want to stoop down to their level and fight?" She asked, making the serpent cower.

The elder pointed towards the exit, all the serpent walking out in shame while the ninja looked shocked. A few of the snakes hissed on their way out, only to be scolded.

(Y/n) watched in amazement at how she was able to control the Serpentine. How powerful this woman must have been in her prime.

"It appears our help wasn't needed." The old man stated, looking at the child that hid behind (Y/n). Though, he wasn't hidden long as she stepped away from him in order to grab a hold of the elderly woman's hand. "I would like for you to join my lord in recreating this world."

She felt the stares she got once saying that statement, but all she cared for was a response. "Oh? I'm sorry, deary, but I already have a job."

(Y/n) frowned.

"Ma, what's going on?!" The blue ninja questioned. "Right, you all haven't met." The elder woman stated. "The young lady is the one I met in Jamanakai village, remember Jay, isn't she just your type?" "MA!"

"Well, she might not be Jay's type, but she is mine." The red ninja cooed, grabbing a hold of her hand and kissing it. "Name's Kai."

She looked at him dumbfounded. Did they really not know she's the same person? She was wearing the same cloak they've always seen.

Snatching her hand back, she turned to the woman, leaving the red ninja shocked. "If I marry your son, would you reconsider?" She asked hopefully.

"Uh, okay, what's actually going on?" Cole questioned, turning to his Sensei. "Mrs Walker, do you mind if you grab us some beverages, we are quite parched from our journey."

"Oh right, how rude of me, I'll be back in a jiffy, Ed, come."

Well, there went her control for the Serpentine.

"Ack! (Y/n), don't let them take me away!" The child screamed, pulling on the cloak, slightly choking her a bit.

"How is my brother?" The old man asked, getting everyone's attention. "M-My dad?" The child asked.

"Wait, why would she have any idea how Garmadon is doing?" The water girl asked, tilting her head.

"She is Lord Garmadon's pupil." The white ninja stated. "I had thought we knew this."

At the revelation, the red ninja immediately swung his sword at her, stopping inches at her neck.

"(Y/N)!"

"KAI!?"

"You've got some nerve." He hissed, (Y/n) feeling her heart race at an uncomfortable speed. "Kai, do not let your temper control you." The old man stated.

(Y/n) scanned around quickly, her eyes landing on the water girl, who had her hands covering her mouth in horror. It was a gamble, but she'd have to try something to get the sword away from her face.

She grabbed the blade, pushing it into her neck. "No, how about letting your temper control you, all that rage has to be let out eventually, and when you get my head off my shoulders, you could take it back to Lord Garmadon." She cooed, ignoring the bubbling fear she was feeling.

His anger didn't seem to lessen, but he ended up forcefully taking his sword from her, cutting both her neck and hand in the process.

The child immediately went to hug her, slightly putting pressure on her injured leg. "Are you okay, (Y/n)?!" He cried, shoving his face into her leg. She wasn't sure what to do to make him feel better, so she let him continue to cry on her.

"We have lemonade- Oh dear, why is the boy crying?" Edna asked, the look in her face full of concern. (Y/n) waved her concern away with the uninjured hand. "It is fine, I will take care of him, right?" She asked, looking back down at the boy, who nodded into her leg.

"How adorable." She cooed, passing the lemonade to everyone.

(Y/n) took a sip, cringing at the taste, forcing the drink in her mouth down. She noticed how the child quickly finished his, so she poured her remaining drink into the boy's cup.

"Have you all sorted out your little dispute?" Edna asked, looking between the group. (Y/n) didn't say anything, waiting on what the ninja would say about it.

"I would like to represent my team and formally apologize for inflicting harm on you." The white ninja bowed to her, (Y/n) only tilting her head in confusion. "Aw, how sweet, now the rest of you, go apologize." Edna demanded, pushing the rest of the group to the girl.

The child looked down smugly, putting his hands on his hips. "That's right, beg for the son of Darkness's forgiveness." He proudly says, the red ninja sending a glare.

(Y/n) just stared at them, still confused why they owed the apology, but she didn't dwell on it for long when she noticed the gold glint from the blue ninja.

She went towards him, lifting him from the kneeling position. "It is fine, both of us have done things to compromise eachothers lives." She stated, lightly clinging to him.

"Uhh, what?" The ninja were confused in her fast change of demeanor. "Remember, I was the one that struck you when you were getting the golden weapon." She stated, the blue ninja glaring. "Yeah! You did do that!"

"And I give my apologies to you." She moved her cloak to hide the positioning of her hand, moving quickly away when she was done. "Is that to your satisfaction?" She asked the mother, who gave the largest smile. "Oh, you two would make the cutest couple."

The child frowned, pulling on the girl's cloak. "We have a war to get to, (Y/n), let's go!" She didn't waste anytime, scooping up the child and summoning her elemental dragon, immediately leaving.

"Woah!" Cole yelped, hiding behind his Sensei. "I thought you got over your fear of dragons?" Nya teased. "Long time fears dont go away after a few weeks, give me a break!"

"What a nice girl." Edna cooed, looking over to her son. "Are you and your friends going to stay?" "Uh, no Ma, we're about to leave." Jay stuttered out.

Zane nudged Jay, tilting his head. "Your weapon is missing." He states, Jay going pale. "M-Maybe I just didn't bring them with me?" He tried to assure. "Nope, you had them with you while fighting the Serpentine." Cole added.

Wu sighed to himself, shaking his head, his students now arguing.

"Worry not, Sensei, I will keep my weapon safe." Zane said, with a slight bow.

"I hope so." Wu wasn't sure the ice elemental would be able to protect his weapon, but he could only hope. He'd have to hope.
