One of the guards who were already up front by the entrance of the building, walks towards the van once it slows down.
The man opens the door of the backseat and helps Jeno step down while he held out his hand towards his little 4 years old son.
Once the toddler beams and held his hand like as practiced from previous times before, they walk ahead and entered the building with the guard following them along.
He only gave small nods and smiles towards the employees and staffs everytime he passes by them, especially to those whom greeted him first.
They walk in the elevator with Jisung behaving himself like he was disciplined and taught, Jeno couldn't help but squeeze their entwined hands a bit.
The little boy smiles up at him and rocked on the heels of his feet, getting impatient since they're still halfway through the many floors of the building.
A small ding echoes through the decent amount of space in the elevator, indicating that they've finally arrived at the floor Jeno's mom had messaged him to be at.
He thanks the guard with a genuine smile, "thank you Mr. Smith." He said earning the same kindness from the elder who gave a reassuring thumbs up to whatever is about to happen.
Mr. Smith has been their guard long since Jeno was still in his mother's womb. It was still crazy to think about that someone can be loyal like Mr. Smith considering the world they live in.
He held Jisung's hand firmly as they walk through the hallway with many doors to big rooms for meetings or as someone's respective office.
They come to a halt when the familiar big two doors were now right in front of their very eyes, making Jeno sigh deeply.
It's not like he hates being here, or his parents and staffs are rude towards him, no. He's just feeling a bit distress today after the messages from his cousin and mother.
He doesn't go out a lot, even before the overprotectiveness from his parents grew once he had Jisung into this cruel world.
It has always felt a bit weird whenever they go out, even for the simplest things like family dinner, small get-togethers, grocery shopping, and stuff like that.
But today, he's just moreover stressing about what could be so important for him to bring Jisung along with him outside his parents' home.
He's still living with his parents of course, he needs all the help he could get even til this day.
It's quite hard to live alone with your son as a single parent. Especially when your father is a strict man while your mother is a bit of a worrywart.
Lifting his hand to knock lightly, he waits with Jisung yawning beside him tiredly since he was being awaken early while he played too much last night.
The left door opened with the half of Woozi's body was shown while he fixes his glasses. "Oh finally, come in." He beckons while he steps aside letting the newcomers in the meeting room.
Once they head in, Jeno lets go of Jisung's hand reluctantly for the first time after a long few minutes as he greets his parents with kisses on their cheeks and handing out a container of sweets for his father.
Mr. Lee laughed lightly and immediately took one, "you sure know how to calm people down, my boy." He gestures with his hand still holding the bitten cookie.
Jeno just mocked a smile at him jokingly before his mother grabbed his arms gently yet still firm. "You're on time," she said.
The brunet raised a brow at his mother's words, "what did you guys need me for? It must be really important." He mumbled while hearing Jisung's small giggle behind him as Woozi was tickling the little boy.
Mrs. Lee hummed, "very important." She repeats while rubbing her son's arms against the sweater he was wearing.
"I can tell." Jeno snorts a bit bothered by all of this even though he hasn't heard the full story from his parents yet. "You made me bring Jisung along."
"We wanted to see our grandson too." Mrs. Lee comments making Jeno huff slightly.
His mom isn't the worst, but there are times where she annoys him, especially when she's keeping things from him where he's included on the situation anyway.
"Sure, maybe." He murmured before sighing, "you guys mostly do that when it's something I didn't agreed to, yet atleast." He added.
Mr. Lee hummed in acknowledgement, "observant I see." He grins still munching onto his third cookie while Mrs. Lee glared at him.
He shrugged his shoulders in response to the look his wife gave him, "what? It's good!" He exclaimed waving the cookie around with a few crumbs falling onto the floor.
Mrs. Lee tsked audibly seeing how her husband is acting while shaking her head as if she's disappointed.
"I can't believe you're a business man. Manners, please honey." She remarks pushing the waving hand away from her view.
Jeno just laughed silently at the scene, his mom was always well-mannered and sometimes exaggerates it as a joke.
Meanwhile, his father was most likely clumsy if you get to know him well enough to the point you won't pee your pants in an interview about his son. Like, how rude can they be?
Sighing, Jeno pursed his lips and glances behind him to see Woozi still entertaining Jisung with his glasses while his own vision was a bit blurry.
He turns back to his parents and fiddled with his fingers, "when are we starting? Are we waiting for someone?" He asked in a murmur.
His parents glanced at each other with Mr. Lee a bit stunned as a cookie was still in his mouth, "yes. We're waiting for the guests." Mrs. Lee initiated.
Jeno tilts his head dumbfounded, "guests?" He received a nod or two, and then a crunching sound. "Why? What's this meeting actually about?"
Before Mrs. Lee could answer her son, their secretary knocked on the door as Woozi yells out a permission for the lady to come in.
"Mr and Mrs. Lee, the guests have arrived and are in the elevator right about now." Karina, their secretary as well as Jeno's childhood best friend, informed.
Mr. Lee cleared his throat and cleans himself with a few tissues, "very well. Thank you, Karina." He nodded and fixed his tie quickly.
Jeno gave a small wave to Karina who waved back excitedly since they don't hangout as much as before and mumbled a small "hi!" Making the brunet giggle.
However, that small joyful moment not just a second ago will fade away later on once the guests enter the room and it all goes down to business.
