Warm

Kirishima's heart dropped in his chest. He suspected something of the sort but it still didn't lessen the impact it still had. The feeling wasn't new to him, way back when his middle school picture and name was leaked, it was similar.

Many people had disregarded that as fake, though. Kirishima never once brushed upon it so it eventually died and fell into the rabbit hole of forgotten scandals on the internet. This, however, was something different entirely.

Live footage. Faces, voices, and apparently names too. Not only was this a big shit show in its own right, but it would also start to bring back old drama that never should have been touched upon in the first place.

"I-I'm on my way, just-" The red head stuttered out, fumbling around with the keys in his free hand as his voice quivered.

"Oi, fucking calm down first. The last thing we want is you getting yourself into a freakin' accident 'cause you're anxious about this and not paying attention." Bakugou was aware that the tone of his voice was going to affect how Kirishima was feeling whether they liked it or not.

The blonde expected this kind of reaction. So although he was beyond freaking out and was so close to fucking screaming, he knew that he had to hold it together for Kirishima's sake. The red head was naturally more anxious and had dealt with this kind of thing before, so it was obvious how this would hit him.

"We can talk about it later. Nothing is going to change the fact that it's happened now."

"Yeah, I get it." He slumped his head back, letting an exhale leave his lips. "I'll see ya later. I lo- won't belong."

Woah... what? That was unexpected. It almost just slipped passed without much thought. Must have been because he was on the phone, and he'd normally say it to his family. That must be it.

"See ya."

As Bakugou put the phone down and hung his head, a huge sigh escaped his chest. It was taking all of his power to not fucking scream. Toes curled and fists clenched, it was proving to be a challenge.

He refused to let any tears out, refused to fog up his glasses. That wouldn't fix anything.

Hold it in hold it in hold it in.

Even after lifting his head and seeing the offending tweet, which had already gotten way too much attention, he managed to choke it back.

The account name was just a plant emoji and the username was a random string of letters. The picture was the default.

The video was captioned 'Eijirou Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugou; Red Riot and Ground Zero'. It started right after Kirishima had hung up the phone at Midoriya's party. He was being loud, he'd just found out he might've been an uncle, of fucking course he was. There was no way to hide that it was him.

Then was that moment he grabbed Bakugou and pulled him into an embrace. The blonde wasn't too loud when he spoke so it was slightly harder to tell, but if you'd listened to his voice a lot then the tones and pitch that you could hear were telling.

Just as if that wasn't enough, the video zoomed in further to their faces. Kirishima's scar was easy to see if you were looking for it.

This was a mess. The tweet had only been up for a few hours and it already had thousands of replies and even more retweets.

A lot of the replies were actually reassuring in some way, saying things like 'this is a breach of their privacy!! Don't share it!!' and other things of the sort. It was refreshing to see how many people had that mindset. However, it was also like that back when Kirishima went through this before.

It didn't matter how many people were wanting to protect them when the overwhelming majority were clinging so heavily to the fact that they had new and personal information.

It fuelled the shippers an absolute shit-ton too. It never really bothered the two normally, as it was all just a bit of fun and they were actually together, after all. But when people were taking this and just completely tuning down the situation to draw their conclusions about their relationship it got frustrating.

Then there were the people blaming Midoriya. Now that was really fucking annoying.

Bakugou knew it wasn't him. It may have been his party, but he himself didn't do it and he sure as hell didn't think anyone there would. He didn't deserve all this backlash. Endless tweets were thrown at him, all asking questions of some sort, or trying to make him aware of the video.

He couldn't stop it without speaking up, so he did.

Explosion Murder@Ground0
It wasn't Deku, nor was it his fault so leave him alone. Give us a fucking minute to process this, it's a lot. Stop tweeting at us, we know. I don't mean to sound bitchy but you can probably understand where it's coming from. Give us this space, at fucking least

After that, the tab was shut completely. It was only a matter of time before he'd receive a text or call from Midoriya regarding the issue, so he put his phone on silent and set it away from him. For now, Bakugou had said all he needed to.

Kirishima arrived a few minutes later. He practically slammed the door closed after entering, not even taking his shoes off before bounding up the stairs, stomping urgently.

Bakugou stood up from his chair then began walking towards the bedroom door knowing that the familiar red head would appear in front of it.

"Katsuki!" The door was pushed open, slamming against the wall.

Bakugou was smart not to stand too close, he knew that that would end up happening.

They both remained in place for a slight second, just letting their eyes grow accustomed to the disheveled look of the other.

"This... fucking sucks, huh?" Katsuki hung his head, laughing into a choked back sob as he simultaneously tried to clear his throat.

Without a second thought, Eijirou stepped forward and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. Bakugou could feel how he felt through how tight he was gripping, how caring his big and warm embrace felt around him. His hugs were always nice, but this one in particular was needed and urgent for the both of them.

Katsuki gripped his shirt, completely burying his face into the other's shoulder.

"We're gonna be okay. This isn't the end of the world, it's just... the start of a new timeline?" The red head laughed in question, trying too damn hard to be optimistic. Even if it was still obvious that he was reassuring himself as much as he was his lover.

They decided that, for an hour or two at least, they weren't going to even discuss it between each other. Let the situation sink in completely before making any sort of decision, that was their plan of action.

Kirishima eventually had to watch the video, though. He had the ugliest frown on his face the whole time, eyes dropping at the corners as he definitely didn't blink once while watching.

"That's what we're dealing with, huh? I don't think we can back out of this one." The red head commented, pointing out what was obvious to begin with.

"We should make a video about it." Bakugou commented with a sigh, closing the twitter tab again before he wouldn't be able to resist the urge of checking the tweet he had made earlier.

After Kirishima nodded, the blonde opened the draw at his desk before pulling a camera out, a rather new looking one at that. The red head raised an eyebrow.

"Why're you getting that out?"

"They know what we look like now. Is there any point continuing to hide?"

i am an emotional fucking wreck after the unbreakable episode. they kinda fucked up what bakugou said, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

there's been so much kiribaku recently, with the chicken soup and anime and merch with them in sets and kirishima's voice actor doing interviews and i physically cannot handle it. i am going to fucking die when we get more kirishima next week.

Also, just in case you don't know about the whole chicken soup thing, have a read of this. It's not technically canon since it's from the spinoff Smash, but it was seen by Horikoshi and put through. Chicken soup for his fucking soul.

Also, tHE MANGA IS GOING TO KILL ME. LIKE DEAD. CHAPTER 253 JUST CAME OUT AND I HATE EVERYTHING FUCKING HELLL.
