Day Three
Wattpad isn't letting me insert pictures, so until I can do that I'm just gonna make the things that they tweet bold.
As Kirishima awoke the next morning, his head was thudding, sensitive to any sort of sound that came from literally anywhere. As he slowly opened his eyes, it didn't take him long to realise that he wasn't in the same bed as he woke up in yesterday.
In fact, Bakugou's bare back was literally against his bare chest, his arm wrapped around the blonde's waist.
Well, this is a dream he thought to himself, actually not giving any other possibility a thought. How would he have ended up in Bakugou's bed like this?
They'd had a bit to drink, laughed, asked each other questions... Then what else? Kirishima tried to calmly asses the current situation, trying his hardest to remember exactly what happened last night.
I didn't do something stupid, did I? Did I mess up?
He remembered asking Bakugou about middle school, he told him about Midoriya and how he felt about all that, then he, then they... What? That was pretty much where his memory ended. They'd ended up hugging and it was getting pretty deep, but how the hell did that escalate to this?
He let his head fall back onto the pillow, being careful not to move his arm until he could come up with a plan to get the hell out of there without interrupting Bakugou. But unfortunately, it was too late.
Bakugou rolled over, half awake as he noticed a sudden warmth and the presence of someone in front of him. Kirishima gripped his eyes shut, hoping that he could maybe convince Bakugou that he was still asleep.
The blonde's eyes suddenly snapped open. Once he realised the situation he sat up abruptly.
"THE FUCK‽" He screamed, subconciously moving back on the bed. Kirishima's eyes shot open in surprise as he also sat up, falling off the bed and onto his ass as he scuttled.
Kirishima's hands went to his head, clutching either side as Bakugou's gruff and loud voice really didn't help his case.
"Hey, I'm just as confused as you ar-" He looked up to Bakugou, seeing that he didn't really look mad or annoyed, just confused, but something stood out that immediately sent dread to his stomach. "Oh god."
"Well, what do you mean by that, shitty hair?" The blonde relaxed a bit visibly, but the tension in the room was still high as they were both still rather dumbfounded. Kirishima's face had almost gone white.
"Y-you might wanna look at your neck, bro," Kirishima spoke as if those were his last words, still not getting his head around what potentially happened.
The marks on his neck were definitely left by Kirishima, there was no doubt about it. The marks that were left from his teeth were different from normal teeth marks, so specific, and they looked like they hurt. They were red and bruised, almost looking like blood was drawn. Potentially even worse than that, there was a rather large amount of them, trailing all the way up to below Bakugou's ear and jaw.
I'm dead.
Bakugou instantly brought his hand up to the side of his neck, trailing his fingers over the marks. He hissed at the first contact slightly, not expecting any kind of sore pain whatsoever. He then got off the bed and stormed into the bathroom without a word.
Kirishima stood up, swallowing heavily as he bit his lip, trying to think of what would happen now. There's nothing much he could really do now, but he knew that it was down to the both of them.
As Bakugou looked in the mirror, his cheeks exploded to a shade of pink, genuinely not hating how the marks looked on him. He knew that Kirishima would be feeling terrible about this, but Bakugou knew that he was probably the one to instigate it anyway. He couldn't remember exactly what happened or exactly how far things went, but it was obvious that they were both up for it.
"How fucking hard did you bite‽ Damn." He laughed, actively trying to make Kirishima feel more settled as he made his way back into the room. The red head stood in confusion as he awaited some sort of outburst.
"What?" Bakugou checked his phone for the time, before continuing. "Movie is in an hour. We won't have time to walk but we're not fucking missing this." He reached into his wardrobe and put a black shirt on that had a white skull on it.
Kirishima got the message and left to get properly dressed. His heart was racing as his mind was too, wondering just what the hell they were going to do now. Just forget about it? Part of him hoped that they would just go back to normal, but the other part actually wanted to talk to the blonde, figure out what actually happened and why.
But Bakugou was right about one thing, and that was the movie. They couldn't miss it for the world. They both knew that they'd see spoilers of it everywhere. On the comments of their own videos especially.
Bakugou walked down the stairs a few minutes before Kirishima did. When he reached the door to the living room, he saw his own shirt on the floor at his feet and Kirishima's on the couch. On the table was an empty bottle of vodka and two shot glasses. The room honestly did smell of alcohol, which was revolting given he'd only woken up like ten minutes prior.
His face scrunched up as he picked up the shirts and balled them together, before throwing them into the laundry basket. Then he moved the bottle and glasses, placing them in their respective places.
Shortly after, Kirishima came down the stairs, his hair fully done up again as he never really stopped moving, clearly worried about something.
"What up with you?" Bakugou asked as he slipped a jacket on.
"I just really don't want anyone to die." Kirishima did the same.
"Someone is going to fucking die. That's a given. It's fucking Endgame. As long as my favourite is fine I don't care." He unlocked the door and started heading out, patting his pockets to make sure he had everything.
"Who's your favourite?" Kirishima tried to think of who in his head. Was Bakugou more of a Starlord kinda person? Nah, Doctor Strange definitely.
"Captain America." The blonde replied, clearly in a bit of a rush as he speed walked to the car, Kirishima following along.
"Good choice! I feel like I relate to the Hulk in a weird way."
"Yeah, 'cause you're a big fuckin' softy." He chuckled, making sure Kirishima was actually in the car before starting it up and putting his seatbelt on.
Kirishima's head was still hurting a bit, but it wasn't enough to stop him from still going through with this. He would've forgotten about it by the time they were watching the film.
They arrived around forty minutes before it started and managed to get tickets to good seats. If they were any later they would've had to sit far apart from each other, which was definitely less than ideal.
Kirishima insisted to pay for both of the tickets, which Bakugou was not going to let happen originally. It turned out that the blonde had actually left his wallet in the car anyway, so much to his displeasure, Kirishima ended up actually paying and he couldn't stop him. The red head was so smug about it, smirking to himself as he walked proudly.
They still had a bit of time before needing to get back to the cinema, so they decided to wander around the market area for a while. There were a lot of different kinds of stalls there, from food to random gardening equipment.
Kirishima seemed interested by all of it, which wasn't really a surprise at all. Any stray bit of information about nothing, in particular, would always make him wanna learn more.
As bored as Bakugou was, Kirishima's excitement somewhat kept him grounded in the crowd of people. He couldn't ignore the red head's excited chattering even if he was actively trying to. Maybe it was how his eyes sparkled when he talked that kept the blonde so intrigued.
"Oi shit face, we better get going." Bakugou flashed his phone at Kirishima, showing him the time.
"Oh, you're right." He put the toy shark down that he saw at a kids section and quickly made his way to Bakugou's side.
"I'm so nervous!" The red head fidgeted with his arms.
"Well, we know that Black Panther and Spiderman are getting more movies so they're good. Black Widow is getting one so she's fine too. Doubt they'd kill off Captain Marvel after just introducing her." He tried to think about it sensibly, putting logic into his conclusions rather than being like Kirishima and letting his mind run wild.
"Yeah but maybe that's what they want you to think! Any of those films could take place at any time. And we don't know what's actually going to happen in this one."
"Well then let's stop speculating and get to it!" Talking about it really just made Bakugou even more impatient, and he wasn't the most patient person to begin with.
They were both the kind of people to watch the ads before the movie started. They both agreed that it was kind of relaxing, and it got them in the settled down and focused mood that they liked to be in before the movie.
It was also the best time to ease into not chatting. Bakugou never had a problem with this, but Kirishima was noticeably anxious before the film, having to say something every now and then. During the ads straight before the movie, he could do so without annoying people.
He even had some funny comments about the ads that were shown, that admittedly made Bakugou nearly chuckle.
They were warned that the movie is three hours long and that they should go to the bathroom now if they needed to. The two were determined that they would be fine.
As it began, Kirishima started shoving popcorn in his mouth, shutting his brain down.
---
As they were sat in the car afterwards, Kirishima wanted nothing more than to talk about the movie, scream about what had happened and how he felt about it. However, he knew that he would actually get murdered if he did so, and spoiling things like that is just a bad thing to do. So instead, to vent his slight frustration and to get a bit of a laugh, he decided to send out a tweet.
Red • @R_Riot
@Ground0 cried at Endgame
He couldn't wait to see Bakugou's face when he saw that. Majority of people cried at some point or another, there were a few opportunities to, but Bakugou probably would've tried to convince people he didn't. He did try to convince Kirishima he didn't, but the red puffiness of his eyes wasn't at all to do with his contact lenses and Kirishima knew that.
"So how did you feel about that?" Kirishima asked. Bakugou seemed unusually pissed off as soon as the movie had finished.
"Fuckin' hated it. Fuckin' piece of shit garbage. I'm not even mad at who died, I'm just fucking mad." The blonde replied, not even starting the car yet as he just leaned on the steering wheel.
"So what I'm getting is... You liked it?"
If there was one thing Kirishima had picked up, it was that Bakugou had a tendency to say he hated things when he actually meant the opposite, because showing disdain for something was easier than complimenting it.
"God damn amazing." He started the car finally, heading in the direction of his house. "Hey, do ya wanna do a video together when we get home?"
Kirishima couldn't help but smile slightly at Bakugou calling the place they were returning to 'home' like it was for the both of them. The words immediately excited him, he didn't realise how blinding his own smile was as it gleamed.
"Hell yeah!"
---
They both sat down in front of Bakugou's computer as he started up recording the audio. Kirishima hadn't asked what they'd be doing, but he didn't really care.
"What's up fuckers, it's me, as you should know. Welcome back to another amazing video. Today's video might be shitty though because there's someone here besides from me." He spoke into the mic, smirking at Kirishima from the side.
"Bold of you to assume I won't make the video better." Kirishima snapped back, not bothering to introduce himself. People would know.
"So Red Riot is here today, and we're gonna be doing a Q&A because when I asked on Twitter, it's what you guys wanted the most. Well, besides inappropriate things, y'all nasties." Kirishima chuckled at how Bakugou said that, but he didn't remember seeing anything from Bakugou on Twitter like that.
"When did you tweet that?" He asked, pulling his phone out.
Bakugou clicked to his Twitter tab and then clicked on the tweet he asked for questions on, scrolling through some of the replies. A lot of them were kinda suggestive, but that was to be expected.
"You guys are so unoriginal. 90% of these are asking us to do a face reveal or if we're fucking." Kirishima laughed at how he put it, a slight pink hue rising on his cheeks.
How old are you?
"I'm twenty and he's nineteen," Kirishima answered for Bakugou.
"You're literally six months older than me but you make it sound like it's a huge difference."
"You know what there is a huge difference between? Our heights." The red head laughed, clearly proud of himself.
"Oh, fuck you!"
How old were you when you had your first kiss?
"I was like fourteen. Someone dared me to kiss someone in our class and because I was totally hardcore, I did it." Bakugou answered, not seeming actually very proud of it.
Kirishima didn't know whether to answer honestly or not. Maybe it was giving away too much information, maybe he was being too obvious, but either way, he didn't have enough time to make an excuse up on the spot.
"Twenty, probably." Bakugou immediately turned his head to question it, but Kirishima spoke again before he could. "I can't really remember it very well." He closed with, not letting Bakugou get a word in as they continued. He was totally talking about the blonde, after all.
Does Red actually wear crocs?
"Yes. Yes, he fucking does and they're horrendous."
"In my defence, they're actually comfortable!"
"Not listening."
What's each other's worst habit?
"Well, Zero has a tendency to scowl instead of smiling when he really means to."
"Fuck off, you smile too much!"
"You guys can't see, but he's actually giving me a death glare right now, although he means to smile."
"Yeah well, your worst habit is... Fuck." He tried to think, genuinely not able to come up with something that he didn't like that Kirishima did. "Doing your hair like that."
"Wow, I expected better from you."
"Piss off."
What's your best memory of each other?
"In real life, I'd have to say Mario Kart." Kirishima started first, taking himself back to that day. It felt so long ago but it had only been a few days.
"That fucking sucked." He didn't mean it, but to transition into what he wanted to say, it was necessary.
"Don't tell me you're still upset about-" He remembered how Bakugou was frustrated about his win, and he sensed that coming back.
"I probably preferred last night, to be honest." He teased, chuckling as he looked to Kirishima, who shook his head, though trying not to laugh. It was nice they could joke about it, but it didn't really help his thought process.
What were your first impressions of each other?
"To be honest, I thought you were a bit rude. But your jokes were funny and I found myself drawn in. Then you ended up being my favourite YouTuber, and here we are now!" Kirishima was actually super enthusiastic talking about this, a smile on his face the whole time.
"I liked your voice and laugh. But I started actually giving a shit about your videos when you started making commentaries and the way you talked about your opinions and the way you expressed them."
They continued doing this for a while until they had enough content for a couple of videos. They'd dropped a few inside jokes and laughs at themselves that no one would understand, but everyone would try to get in on anyway. The people who didn't have Twitter wouldn't have even known they had met up, and even the people who knew were just taking educated guesses.
Something had been bothering Kirishima since earlier. Ever since Bakugou decided to try and be funny with the whole 'I preferred last night' comment, it caused his mind to race. They hadn't actually talked about it.
Kirishima hated when people ran from their problems without facing them head on, but that's exactly what he was doing, and he knew it. He had to face this, no more excuses.
Just after Bakugou had stopped recording the audio, Kirishima swallowed the lump in his throat and spoke up, with a serious tone and expression.
"Hey, can we talk? About last night?" He said, discreetly biting the inside of his cheek. He didn't actually know what he was going to say.
"Sure," Bakugou replied, turning to look at him, his face blank as though he was open to whatever Kirishima had to say. "Well, are you gonna talk or what?"
"I was just wondering if you know what happened." It was clear they both didn't, but this was a starting point, at least.
"Honestly, I can't remember anything past talking about middle school." Bakugou tried once more to remember, but it was to avail.
"Me too." Kirishima hung his head. Where did he think the conversation would go anyway?
"So what of it?" The blonde now folded his arms, in an interrogative way.
"Nothing really, it's just-" He was clearly beating himself up about it. Apparently, he hadn't got the message that morning when Bakugou completely brushed off his apologies, so he just had to say it and say it straight.
"Look, It's not a big deal."
"Huh?"
"You heard. It's not a big deal. I don't care that it happened." He chuckled a bit, a bit baffled he had to explain this in the first place.
"You... Really?" Kirishima lifted his head up as he cocked an eyebrow. He was expecting something more like an outburst. He didn't really know why.
"Yeah. It was probably my fault anyway." Bakugou laughed again, clearly trying to lighten up the situation a little bit. He didn't like to see Kirishima looking sad. He missed the goofy ass smile.
"No, I really think it was mine." Kirishima insisted, knowing that his crush on the blonde probably got too overwhelming in the moment.
"And what makes you think that?"
"It's just... I tend to do a lot of things in the spur of the moment because I just want to, and being drunk probably didn't help." There was a pause after that, the air filled with silence.
"So what you're saying is... You wanted to, you just didn't think properly about afterwards." Bakugou double checked, a smirk slowly rising on his face. Hearing it from someone else made Kirishima realise just what it sounded like he was suggesting and, although he kind of was, the way it sounded just made him immediately regret saying that.
"Um- Well-"
"Why would you want to?"
"Just-"
"I can think of a reason."
"No-"
"Your first kiss, eh?"
"I-"
"Kirishima, do you like me?" He finally asked, heart beating out of his chest as his head cocked. There wasn't any particular expression on his face, which killed Kirishima trying to figure out just what way he meant that in.
"Listen, I..." He took a deep breath. There was no lying about this now. It was obvious. "Yeah. I think I do."
