The three girls went to the lake to collect frogs. They put their already full jars under a tree and set out to work. It took two hours but finally all 400 frogs were caught. The girls went and sat under the tree to rest.

"Evangeline! You have come!" A manly voice was heard.

Evangeline twisted her head and searched for the voice. The other two stared at her. "Um what are you looking for?" Angela asked.

"That voice... didn't you hear it?!" Evangeline said in a half whisper. Her face was white as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Evangeline what on earth?! Are you going mad or something?!" Elizabeth said waving her hand in Evangeline's face.

"What?! No! Im perfectly-"

"I know you can hear me Evangeline!" The voice said again.

"Who are you?!" Evangeline asked it and got up. She knocked her head on a branch and she changed into her elf state again. "Oww! Ugh branches!" She said and rubbed her head.

Elizabeth and Angela started to worry about Evangeline now. Why was she acting like this? Was she okay?

"Okay we gotta-" Elizabeth started but she stopped as they saw a shadowy figure float from behind one tree to another.

"Get outa here!" Angela finished and they got up leaving the jars of everything and ran as fast as they could away.

"How big is the elven forest?!" Evangeline asked through pants.

"It's the same size as Germany..." Angela said fear in her voice. "Come on we need to run faster!"

The trio ran and ran untill their feet had blisters and their legs were full of scratches and mosquitoe bites. As they got close to a beach, Elizabeth spotted a cave and called to the  others. "There is a cave look!" she exclaimed and ran towards it with the others behind.

Soon they got to the cave and went in. They went deeper and deeper inside untill it was pitch black.

"I think we lost him..." Evangeline said and sat down on a soft rock and Elizabeth sat with Angela on the opposite one. Their eyes adjusted and they looked at Evangeline with fear in their eyes. They felt as if all this was her fault. And Evangeline felt the same.

"I'm so sorry about everything." She said and burried her face in her hands and started to sobb.

"We kinda signed up for this..." Angela comforted. She got up to sit with Evangeline but stumbled on something that felt like a giant snake. She caught herself before falling and whispered " Um guys... I think we're in a snake nest. We need to get out ASAP."

"Which way is out?" Elizabeth asked and slowly got up off the rock she sat on.

"I have no idea" Evangeline whisper shouted.

They moved along together holding hands as to not get separated. Evangeline was first holding Angelas right hand and Elizabeth last holding Angelas and somebody elses.

- wait, who hasnt spoken for a very long time? Whos hand am i holding exept for Angelas?, Elizabeth said and the other two froze.

"No one else is here liz..." I say
"then whose hand am i holding??"Liz let out a little whimper and slowly turned around.

Elizabeth stared at her hand and then slowly up to the creature. It seemed to have a bit of light on it. It had stripes and a pink heart shape on its face.  Its wings flapped and its eyes stared right back at Elizabeth and into her soul.

"NORVIX! What in the world are you doing here?!" Evangeline said recognising her owl. She went over to him and put out her arm for him to sit on. He took his bird leg out of Elizabeth's hand and hopped onto Evangeline's arm.

"Amy let me out of my cage and so i flew as fast as i could to you. I need to  protect you Evangeline!" Norvix said.

"Aw Norvix i love you and i want you to be safe never mind me! Do you know how to get out of this cave?"

"Yes but i need ramstone powder so my stripes and heart glow..."

-Angela, pass me the bag please, Elizabeth said to Angela who didn't understand anything the owl was saying.

- Ah sure!, and she gave the bag to Liz. Liz found a container with ramstone powder.

-First of all, what is this stuff? And second of all why do you need it?, Elizabeth asked Norvix while holding it infront of him.

"Its a special rock found in the Kyarin imala valcano. My breed of owls is from there! I was taken along with my sister when we were still eggs. I am only two years old now. The ramestone is the source of the mourn saber owls."

and you're gonna eat it?" Elizabeth said a bit disgusted.

"Yes i am! Now pass it to me already!" Norvix said impatiently.

Evangeline held out the powder in her hand and Norvix ate it.

"You have any water with you by any chance?" Norvix asked after eating the ramstone powder, his throat dry.

"Yeah, here" Elizabeth said and gave Norvix water from the bottle. He drank it all up leaving none for the girls.

"Um, and what exactly will we drink now if we get thirsty?" Angela asked annoyed.

"We'll find a stream to fill it up later" Evangeline said.

Just like that, the whole room lightened up. Evangeline grabbed Norvix and stuffed him under her shirt as she witnessed a giant dragon lying in front of them fast asleep. It was a dark purple color and it turns out the girls had been sitting on its toes before!
