➵ The Endgame

Thor and T'Challa yelled their battle cries. Everyone started to run into battle. Thanos pointed his broad sword at us, motioning for his army to attack. I narrowed my eyes at the enemy and picked up my pace. There was a familiar tug in my gut that informed me that there was water near by.

As the aliens drew closer, the people with guns, bows, and lasers started to fire. An ugly ass alien popped in front of me. I quickly slashed his head off and moved onto the next. Another jumped at me and jabbed it's weapon at my face. I leaned backwards and did a roundhouse kick to his face.

The alien stumbled backwards and kicked my side. I let out a small cry at the force. It raised his weapon at me again. Taking in a deep breath I dropped onto the ground and swiped my leg at its ankles. The alien fell onto it's back. I stabbed my sword into its chest to help me stand back up again.

When I looked down to see if it was alive, I noted it's motionless body. I yanked my sword out and moved onto the next alien. Some had managed to scratch, punch, kick, and nick me. However, they all ended up dead with the help of my sword.

I saw Peter rush towards Tony talking a millions miles per hour. A huge smile grew on my lips when I saw Tony embrace the teenage boy.

"Oh, this is nice." Peter told Mr. Stark.

Tony tightened his hold in the teenage boy. Stark took a deep inhale and kissed Peter's head. My smile only grew at the sight. Tony looked up at me and sent me a smile. I gave him one in return as I jogged their way.

"Go say hi to your friend." Tony nodded in my direction.

"What friend?" Peter asked, scrunching his brows in confusion.

"Feel the love." I walked over and ruffled Peter's hair.

"Nevah!" Peter grinned. "Bro, I was in space!"

"I was in Wakanda." I smirked.

"Okay, okay, touché." Peter grinned, nodding his head. "We'll call it a draw."

"C'mon, we need to kick his ass." I patted his shoulder.

"Let's go." Peter nodded, his mask suddenly appearing on his face. I gasped in shock. "Nice suit huh? Mr. Stark gave it to me."

"Yo, Mr. Stark!" I walked over to him.

"What's up, Water Girl?" Tony fought back a smile.

"Can you make me a suit, too?" I fluttered my eyes with a large grin.

"No." Tony chuckled out, placing his hand on my shoulder and giving it a squeeze.

"Shit." I grumbled. Peter only laughed in response, nudging my shoulder. "Shut up, Peter or I'll tell Aunt May."

"Snitch." Peter muttered.

"Go fight and leave this sibling bickering for the celebration party, 'kay?" Tony shook his head.

His helmet appeared over his head and he flew off into battle. Peter and I awkwardly stood there.

"We, uh, better start killing." Peter gave me a curt nod.

"See you afterwards. Stay alive, Pete." I gave him a quick hug and ran towards a hoard of aliens.

There was a feminine yell and a trident looking weapon coming at my face. I quickly sidestepped, twirling around the enemy and slashing their back. The female alien let out a hiss at the pain. When I turned around, my sword pointing at the alien, my anger bubbled. It was the female alien with the horns that Wanda had thrown into the blades at Wakanda.

"Ugh, it's you." I growled out.

"Who even are you?" The alien snarled, looking at me in disgust.

"Don't worry, you won't have time to even consider me." I twirled my sword anxiously.

"Is that a threat?" The alien chuckled out. She was wearing a cocky smirk.

"It's a promise." I gave her a smirk before running at her. "And I always keep my promises."

She jabbed her weapon at me, aiming for my stomach. I jumped back, the top of the trident nicking me above my belly button. I clenched my jaw and looked up at her. The alien only let out a laugh.

"What about your promise?"

"I'm getting there." I gritted out, kicking her weapon away.

Her trident was kicked out of her hand, falling a few inches away from her. She went to dove for it. I ran at her and jumped onto her back. With my added weight, she stumbled forward. As I tried to move my sword to the front of her neck, an explosion to our left caused the alien to loose her footing.

We fell onto the ground. I groaned when I felt rubble dig into my back. Looking to the side, I saw her scrambling for her weapon. I quickly stood up to my feet. The alien ran at me.

She jumped into the air and swung her leg at me. Her foot collided with my temple, forcing me to collapse onto the ground. My vision blurred for a second. I blinked my eyes rapidly, trying to get my bearings back. The alien used this to her advantage. She kicked me in the chest, forcing me down into the ground. I let out a yell when she pressed her foot harder.

"You're weak." She hissed, spit hitting my face. In one swift movement, her trident punctured the edge of my torso. I bellowed in pain, squeezing my eyes shut. "You're expendable just like my father's army."

"Think again." I glowered.

I lifted my hips up and wrapped my legs around her neck. She choked as I tightened my hold and brought her backwards. Her hold on the trident loosened. I grabbed a hold of it and yanked it out with a loud cry. Gritting my teeth, I twirled the trident away from me and toward her.

I pushed the trident into her abdomen. She choked in pain as I shoved it in further. The alien kicked me in the face. I grunted and pushed the weapon deeper. She continued to kick at me as her face turned whiter. A kick to my jaw followed by another to my chest pushed my away.

She jabbed her elbows against my thighs to push them away from her throat. My legs fell to the ground and I quickly scooted away from her. The alien yanked the trident from her body and glared heatedly at me. I wipe the back of my hand against my busted lip and stood up. We both stared at each other until we ran at each other.

I feinted a step to the right, my sword in my right hand. The alien slowed down to anticipate it as she used both hands to hold up her weapon to block it. I quickly tossed my sword into my other hand and slashed at her neck. I panted, starring at her head on the ground.

I turned around, scanning for another one to kill. I saw Thanos standing all by himself, looking at the battle and death around him. Gritting my teeth together, I made my way towards him. He wasn't even paying attention to me, too busy looking for the Black Panther who held the gauntlet.

Thanos threw his sword like a boomerang. I followed it to see the weapon smack Black Panther's arm. The gauntlet fell on the the ground. Thanos' weapon went back to him.

"I got this, get the gauntlet and go." I told T'Challa.

He gave me a brief nod and collected the gauntlet. Thanos eyed me as I stalked towards him. I held back a yell as I jumped and stabbed my sword into his arm.

Thanos bellowed in pain. I quickly pressed my feet against his body and pushed myself away, yanking my sword out as Thanos swiped his bigger weapon at me. His sword alone was taller than me. I landed in a low crouch, glaring up at him. Thanos snarled as he tried to hit me with his weapon. I rolled in between his legs and slashed at his calves. Thanos stumbled forward and let out a cry of frustration. I stood up and pointed my sword at him.

"You took five years away from me." I screamed out, calling the water from the ocean. Thanos went to jab his sword at my head, but I simply ducked. "Five years of my life gone because of your stupid plan!"

"Five years to help your people live without the torment of hunger and poverty." Thanos calmly responded with narrowed eyes.

"No." I chuckled emotionlessly, taking a large stride towards him. At my will, gallons of water swirled around me. It was begging to let lose and crash into the purple monster in front of me, but I held it back. Thanos blinked and took a step back. Horror was written all over his face that he couldn't conceal. "You created enemies who will defeat you."

"You didn't defeat me last time." Thanos smugly told me.

"No," I tilted my head with a smirk, "but the Avengers is now a much larger team who is thirsty for avengence. And you managed to piss of a woman who was looking for a wedding dress. Big mistake."

Before Thanos could say a word, I unleashed the water with a scream. The sound of blood rushing in my head was all I could hear as I saw Thanos struggle against the water. I clenched my jaw and forced the water to push Thanos against the ground. He tried to move his body, but the power behind the water wouldn't even let him lift a finger.

"What sorcery is this?" Thanos gritted out, glaring at me.

I walked over to him and stood next to his face. I refused to answer him. Clenching my jaw, I made the water cover his face. Thanos panicked as he tried not to choke and inhale the water. He couldn't move. He couldn't breathe.

"Can I finish him?" Wanada called out from the sky.

"He's all yours." I walked away, slowly letting the water run away from Thanos. "You deserve to finish him for what he did to Vision."

She gave me a thankful nod as she landed on the ground. Thanos coughed up water as he stumbled to his feet.

"You took everything from me." Wanda's eyes glowed a bright red as she glared at the murder of her boyfriend.

"I don't even know who you are." Thanos replied as he limped towards her.

"You will." Wanda told him.

Her hands glowed red as her magic lifted two large boulders. Wanda hovered into the air, lifting the boulders with her. Thanos ran towards her. The boulders smashed into him. Knowing that Wanda had it covered, I ran back into the battle field.

I continued to fight and kill aliens. It was never ending. I killed one, and another popped up. I was starting to grow tired, but the thirst to kill Thanos and his army ran through my veins with the adrenaline. Another superhuman had come to help, going through the flying alien ship to stop the fire attack. That had helped turn the tide in our favor. The Avengers were tossing the gauntlet back and forth to keep it away from the enemy. It was currently with Peter, who was in a crater of sorts cradling the gauntlet to his chest. Seeing that the women were rounding towards him, I followed after.

"I don't know how you're going to get through all of that." Peter handed the gauntlet to the lady with short blonde hair.

"Don't worry." Wanda landed next to the woman.

"She's got help." Okaye added.

"We got this." I gave Peter a reassuring nod as I walked next to him. More women were joining to protect the infinity stones. Peter glanced at me with worry, biting his lip. I sent him a small smile and twirled my sword. "Go help the others, we've got it from here."

"Okay..." Peter hesitantly said.

I sent him a smirk and walked passed him to join the others. The crowd of women started their way towards the aliens. It wasn't long until we ran into battle. I swung my sword and ducked under an alien's arm. Throwing my elbow back, I hit the alien in the face and slashed my sword at his head. The sword embedded itself into the skull, the alien stiffening before it fell to the ground.

I yanked my sword out. Something wrapped around my ankle and tugged me to the right. I let out a yelp as I fell onto my back. Groaning, I looked up to see an alien wielding a whip. I set my jaw and stood up, cutting the whip around my ankle with my sword.

"You shouldn't have done that." I muttered angrily.

The alien ran at me. I yelled and leaped, kicking my feet against it's chest. Falling into a low crouch, I looked up to see the alien fall to the ground. I swung my sword before the alien could even move. Another one dead, hundreds more to go.

"I hope we have a month off after this." Malia grunted as she ducked under a weapon.

"A year sounds better actually." Piper quipped after stabbing an alien in the middle of the forehead with her dagger.

"Duck, Lady Nevah!"

I quickly dove to the floor, a laser shooting over my head. Blinking in shock, I turned around and saw a white pegasus land on top of an alien. A large grin spread across my face when I saw it continuously stomp on the alien until it stopped moving. Confused, the woman on top of the majestic horse got her sword and impaled the alien.

"That was weird." She  looked up at me.

"Not really." I chuckled out, jogging over to the pegasus. He bowed slightly and nudged my hand. I sent him a smile and rubbed his snout. "Thank you."

"He's never done that before to anyone other than Valkyries. Are you one?" The female Valkyrie asked.

"No, but my father is Poseidon." I informed her.

"Ah, Greek demigod." Valkyrie nodded. "Makes sense now."

"Better get back into the battle. Stay safe out there." I gave them a nod before jumping back into the fight.

"You too!" Valkyrie yelled as the pegasus flew into the air.

I had just finished killing an alien when I saw that Thanos had managed to grab a hold of the infinity gauntlet. I froze in terror as he held it in his hand. The blonde lady from before flew at him. She stepped on his calf, which had forced him to kneel, and punched him in the face. The woman threw more punches as she tried to get the gauntlet away from Thanos.

She went to reach for the gauntlet, but Thanos wrapped his hand around her wrist. He threw her towards a large mound of rubble. I sprinted towards him, but there was so much distance in between us. Thanos placed the gauntlet over his hand, the power of the infinity stones lighting his arm. He went to snap his fingers, but the blonde haired woman grabbed a hold of his hand.

She brought his hand toward her as she knelt on the ground. The woman stood up with a glare as she stared Thanos in the eye. He tried to tug his hand away, but nothing happened. Thanos head butted the woman and she didn't even flinched. The woman flew and forced Thanos into a kneel.

In a panic, Thanos used his free hand to snatch something from the gauntlet. A glowing purple gem was in is hand. With a yell, he activated the gem and pointed it towards the woman. A purple energy bursted out from the gem and hit the woman. She was thrown across the battle ground.

Something tackled me away from the fight for the gauntlet. I let out a groan and I rolled a couple of times. Closing my eyes momentarily, I looked up to see an alien crawling towards me.

"Just fucking die already." I hissed out, tiredly standing up. "Gods."

Taking a deep breath in, I kicked the alien in the face. It stumbled back a few steps before it pointed it's javelin at me. I titled my head and lowered myself into a defensive stance with my sword pointed at him. As the alien ran at me, bullets lodged themselves into it's chest. I blinked in confusion.

"Looked like you needed help."

I turned around to see Stiles breathing heavily. His gun lowered once he took in that the alien was dead. His face was covered in dirt and there was small cuts scattered around his arms and face. I could only imagine how bad I looked compared to him.

"Stiles!" I scolded, rushing towards him. "You're supposed to be in the back. Where is Bucky and Sam?"

"Right here." Bucky jogged over out of breath. He gave Stiles a narrowed look. "You run pretty fast for a human."

"You ran away from them?" I blinked at Stiles rapidly.

"It looked like you needed help." Stiles sheepishly smiled at me. "I love you."

"Don't push it." I pursed my lips together. I couldn't get mad at him. Not right now. "Just stay with the three of us and no lore running into danger."

"Babe, I'm not you." Stiles grinned, reloading his magazine.

"Ooh," Sam chuckled as looked between us, "need some ice for that burn, Nev?"

"Shut up, Sam." I grumbled out.

Another swarm of aliens started to make their way towards us. I sighed and stepped into a defensive stance once again. The four of us made a circle, our backs facing one another. The men started shooting at the alien as I called on the water. I formed to snakes and willed them to swallow the enemies. As one snake slithered passed us, an alien that was inside the water snake blinked at us as it tried to breathe underwater.

"T-that's new. That is very new." Stiles looked at me in shock. "Since when could you do that?"

"Should have seen her in the last war bud," Bucky patted Stiles' shoulder, "saved our assed plenty of times with those snakes."

"You're welcome." I sang out with a grin.

"Where the hell was that when we needed in against those damned hunters?" Stiles grumbled under his breath as he reloaded. "Would have saved us plenty of time."

"They're human, Stiles." I shot him a look.

"Meh." Stiles flicked his wrist at me.

I was going to retort something when all of a sudden the aliens started to turn to dust. A laugh scared from my chest when I saw thousands of aliens meet the same fate I did. We did it. We won.

"A-did we win?" Stiles looked at us with a large smile.

"Yeah, we did." Sam laughed out, placing his arms over Bucky's and I's shoulder. "Pay backs a bitch Thanos!"

"How did we," I turned to see Thanos turn to dust and saw the condition Tony was in, "oh. Oh no."

Horror filled my chest. I looked at the scene as people ran towards Tony. Tears filled my eyes when I saw Peter kneel in front of him. I squeezed my eyes shut and looked away from the scene. He isn't going to make it. A sob slipped out of my lips.

"C'mere." Stiles wrapped his arms around me and drew me against him. I cried into his chest, clutching his shirt into my hand. Stiles rubbed small soothing circles into my back. "He saved the universe, Nev. He saved us all."

I cranked my neck to the side to check on Sam and Bucky. Tears were popping in their eyes, but Bucky...there was much more emotion in his eyes than Sam's. Swallowing back a sob, I slowly drew away from Stiles. He shot me a confused expression.

"Bucky... are you okay?" I gently asked, walking towards him.

He looked at me with glossed eyes and his lower lip tucked under his teeth. Fresh tears streamed down my cheeks when I knew he wasn't. I brought the grown broken man into a hug. He tensed at first before he hugged me back.

"He knows, Bucky, he knows." I whispered to him, rubbing his back.

Okay I cried multiple times here, and mostly because I know how the next chapter is going to be. Sorry fo some of it isn't right, I based this all off of what I remembered from the movie and the clips off of Instagram.
