Neil - I want to know whatever happened with her. I tried to maintain contact with her but...

Riya - But everyone tried to separate you both.

Neil - What do you mean ?

Riya - Avni's family explained you half of the story. I know very well, how my best friend suffered in all these years. I tried to contact you but failed to do so.

Neil - Tell me what I am missing.

Riya - Where is Avni ?

Neil - She is sitting in waiting hall. Before taking her home I want to know everything that happened with her.

Riya - After you left, there was a clash in your and Avni's family. Both the families who used to be friends with each other turned into enemies, the love was converted into hatred.

Neil - What ? ( shocked ).

Riya - There was some business issue Neil, Khannas accused Mehtas and Mehtas accused Khannas. Avni never told you about this clash as she didn't want to bother you.

Neil - I never knew about all this.

Riya - Avni's elder brother broke Avni's contact with you. He didn't allowed her to call you when he got to know that she still communicates with you. Avni asked my help for contacting you but Aman filled my parent's ears against you and my parents never let me contact you and Avni was stuck in the mess created by both the families.

Neil - I guess, this is the reason why bebe came to live with me.

Riya - Yes, she lived with you in order to create distance between you and Avni.

Neil - I can't believe my family planned this trap. ( shocked )

Riya - Aman brought Arjun's proposal for Avni so that she can forget you. Avni refused his proposal but her family forced her to accept this marriage proposal after blackmailing her emotionally.

Neil - What happened afterwards ?

Riya - Avni married Arjun. ( sighs ). Arjun and his family were narrow minded, controlling freaks. Avni felt suffocated in that environment. They used to torture her mentally, Arjun even raised hand on Avni several times. Whenever she used to tell her family about the same, they used to convince her that she have to maintain this relation for their prestige. At that time Avni needed you the most Neil.

Neil - I still remember when I decided to return back as 6 months were passed and there was no sign of Avni. Due to bebe's health issues, I dropped my plan but now I am getting to know that everything was fake. Bebe faked  her illness so that I can stay away from Avni.

Riya - Time was passing and Avni's condition was becoming worse. Finally the day came when Avni got to know that she was pregnant. That was the first time in all those dreadful years when Avni smiled. Though, Arjun forced her on the bed as well but she forgot everything when she got to know about the little one who was growing inside her.

Neil - What happened afterwards ?

Riya - Arjun's family wanted a boy.

Neil closed his eyes in anger and pain.

Riya - When they got to know that the baby is a girl, they decided to abort her baby and were forcing her to do so. Avni asked help from her family but her family didn't support her. So, she decided to fight for her baby. She filed a divorce case in the court.

Neil - She did everything by her own self.

Riya - Yes, no one supported her. I arranged a lawyer for her secretly. Arjun and his family were punished for domestic violence and Avni was divorced but...

Neil - But ?

Riya - Avni's family insulted her. They cursed her for breaking her relation. It was a sin in their eyes. Avni wasn't able to hold more so she ran away from her home but met with an accident. This was the end of her willpower. ( crying )

Tears were paving their path from Neil's eyes, he was numb. Totally numb.

Riya - Avni suffered miscarriage and she wasn't able to deal with this situation as this baby was her last hope, she lost her mental balance and now she have formed her own small world with her baby where no one can torture her.

Neil fell on his knees and burst into tears as he failed to protect her when she needed him. He was frustrated, angry on himself, his family, Avni's family. Ego clashes always ruin the relationships but this time egos have spoiled the life of an innocent girl and he wasn't able to do anything.

Riya - Will you be able to take her responsibility ? She needs proper care and love Neil. Will you be able to give her that ?

Neil - She is not a responsibility, she is my life Riya. I know I was stuck between the mess created by my family but now I won't leave her alone. She will get all the love and respect she deserves. ( determined ).

Riya - What about your family ?

Neil - I won't forgive them for whatever they did.

Riya - But Neil, they won't accept Avni.

Neil - I don't want their acceptance cos I don't want them near my Avni. All the people who are the reason for her sufferings won't come near her, not even her own family. ( sternly ).

Riya - What are you upto ? ( concerned ).

Neil - You will get to know it soon.

He called someone.

Neil - ( on call ) Make all the necessary arrangements, I am arriving within 2 hours.

Riya - Neil, don't take any impulsive decision.

Neil - Do you really think, I will take impulsive decision in Avni's case ? Never Riya.

Riya smiles a bit.

Riya - I trust you and I know you will bring happiness in Avni's life.

Waiting room

Avni - Aahana, I am scared what if Neilu leave us here. ( scared )

Neil - Aahana tell your mom that her Neilu won't leave her here. He will take you both in a beautiful place.

Avni claps in excitement and hugs her doll.

Avni - We will go to a beautiful place. Yeah !!

Neil smiles and caress her hairs.

Neil - Come with me.

He hold Avni's hand and Avni clutches Aahana tightly. As soon as they stepped out of the mental asylum, they saw Avni's family standing there.

Avni started shivering as some flashes were playing in her mind. Neil tightens his hold on her hand and made her sit in the car. He sat on driver's seat and started his car royally ignoring Avni's family.

He took Avni to his flat that he have arranged for them.

As soon as they entered the flat, they were greeted by a guest who was sitting in the living room waiting for their arrival.

Avni became scared after seeing a stranger and hugged her doll tightly. Neil caressed her hairs in order to calm her, she looked at him with fearful eyes and the tear drops that were threatening to fall down from her eyes were piercing his heart but he composed himself.

Neil - Avni why are you scared ? He is here for taking your autograph. ( cheerful ).

Avni - Autograph. ( frown )

Neil - Yes, you are the best mother and  he is your fan so he wants to take your autograph so that he can show other people that he is having the autograph of world's best mother.

Avni's lips curved into a big smile and she looked at the person sitting there.

Avni - Really ?

Person - Yes. ( smiles ).

Neil - DD, take her autograph. ( excited )

DD is Neil's friend and is an advocate by profession.

DD - You will give me your autograph. Right Avni ?

Avni - Yes. ( excited )

DD pulled out some papers from his bag and gave the papers to Avni along with a pen.

DD - You have to sign here ( pointing at the signature column ). So that I can tell everyone that I am having Avni's autograph. ( smiles )

Avni - How I will sign Neilu ? ( rubbing the back of her neck cutely ).

Neil - Write your name Avu.

Avni - My name is having 4 alphabets or 5 alphabets. ( confused ).

Neil - Come here I will help you.

Avni - What about Aahana ?

Neil - Come here.

Neil points towards the couch.

Neil - Place Aahana here.

Avni - No.... she will fall down. ( afraid )

Neil - Don't worry I will keep cushion beside her then she won't fall.

Avni - This will work. ( innocently )

Neil - It will. ( smiles ).

Avni placed her doll on the couch and Neil arranged cushion beside it.

Neil - Now come, I will help you in writing your name.

He held pen along with Avni's hand and starts writing Avni's name. Avni was smiling all this while as she was experiencing something new after so long.

Neil - See it's so simple. ( caress her cheeks )

Avni - Yes, its very simple. ( jumping in excitement ). You know Aahana wants to play with me.

Neil - Go and play with her Avu. ( lovingly )

Avni started playing with her doll while Neil took papers from DD and signed the papers.

Neil - Finally, the marriage application is signed. Make sure that everything is carried accurately DD.

DD - I will, you take care of Avni.

Neil nods and DD left from there.

Here is the beginning of new journey.
