Kim Taehyung stared out of his bedroom window at the droplets of rain that kissed the glass. Lightning strike across the sky like a flasher from a camera and an angry growl followed. It was the morning of the conference. And Taehyung felt dull and empty.

The stylist had been doing his hair for the last fifteen minutes. Taehyung was supposed to feel exited towards the event because he and Jeongguk had worked so hard for this day. And since the conference went on for 2 days, the following day his product would finally get released. But he couldn't muster up and kind of excitement. He felt hollow and sad. And Jeongguk...

Well the things with Jeongguk hadn't gotten any better either. Which was the reason for the dull ache at his heart.

An hour or so later, when he arrived at the conference hall, it was still raining. The weather was so gloomy, just like Taehyung's mood that day. Inside, the staff was streaming here and there, doing last minute adjustments. Taehyung saw Jeongguk, talking to someone. Taehyung felt a painful tug at his heart the moment he saw the younger boy.

"Taehyung!" A voice said from beside him. Taehyung turned to meet a handsome face.

"Seokjin, hey" Taehyung smiled.

"Whoa. You look kind of dead. Did you and Jeongguk fight?"

"No, it's nothing. Just tired" Taehyung and Jin weren't exactly close. Neither were they strangers. Friends, he would say, but not that close.

"Anyways you should be exited!" Jin said cheerfully. "The model is here. Would you like to see her?"
The model for his advertisement of his new product. He had asked Jin to select a beautiful idol from his company for his advertisement. Taehyung hadn't met her.

"Yes" Taehyung said, actually curious to meet her in real life, as he had only seen her on the commercial.

"Rose!" Jin called and a beautiful girl came walking towards them.

"Mr. Kim" Her voice was sweet. "It's an honor to finally meet you in person"

Taehyung extended his hand for her to shake. "Yes" He smiled at her, charmed by her beauty. "You look gorgeous. Even more beautiful than from the commercial"

The girl blushed. "Thank you"

Someone cleared his throat from beside Taehyung. His smile fell when he saw Jeongguk standing beside him.

"Seokjin" Jeongguk said in greeting.

Jin greeted Jeongguk and introduced Rose to Jeongguk as well, who kept his usual unbothered persona.

Taehyung watched Jeongguk as he and Seokjin spoke. Jeongguk acted as if Taehyung was invisible. And Taehyung was feeling guilty. What if Jeongguk thought he was flirting with Rose? Taehyung really wasn't. He isn't supposed to, right? Now that he loved Jeongguk. He and Jeongguk were something special...right?

Or not...

Jeongguk still hated Taehyung. He needed to change things. Taehyung had done so many things wrong. He had to make them right.

"I'm excited to use your product, Mr. Kim" Rose said making Taehyung look at her.

Taehyung smiled. "I'm glad you're looking forward to this. I appreciate it"

Just as Rose was about to reply, Minho came running towards them and said that the attendees are arriving. The four of them hurried off after that and Jeongguk too, hurried off to Yoongi and started telling him something. Mentally taking notes to talk to Jeongguk after the day is over, he too, walked away.

The day went successfully. The president arrived as the main guest for the conference. Taehyung's company really benefited a lot. Many businessmen and businesswomen from over the seas were interested in working with Taehyung. He was happy, because the more business partners he could make for himself, the more money kept streaming in.

When all the attendees had taken their leave, there only were a couple dozen staff, Namjoon, Jin, Taehyung, Jimin, Yoongi, Jeongguk and Hoseok. Taehyung was happy that Hoseok had decided to attend the conference. He and Taehyung hardly met these days.

Taehyung searched around him to catch Jeongguk. He saw him by Yoongi and Hoseok. He was shaking hands and talking to them happily. Taehyung smiled, seeing how happy Jeongguk looked. He hadn't seen Jeongguk smile like that in a while.

Taehyung saw Jeongguk laugh at something Hoseok had said; the younger clutching his stomach as he did, loud, bubbly laughter erupting from his mouth. A wave of nostalgia and sadness hit Taehyung like a wave that he was almost choking on it. He loved it when Jeongguk laughed t something Taehyung did. Taehyung missed it so much. Too much. He wanted it back. He needed it.

The moment Yoongi and Hoseok moved away from Jeongguk, he quickly walked towards Jeongguk.

"Jeongguk" Taehyung said, making him turn around. "I need to talk to you". Jeongguk looked at Taehyung. His expression wax first of somewhat confusion and surprise. Then his expression changed into one of somewhat excitement.

"Oh Mr. Kim! The program today went great, didn't it? I'm happy that we were able to organize such a huge event. I was really happy when the president congratulated us and appreciated all the hard work. You did great!"

Taehyung was bewildered. He stared at Jeongguk for a few good seconds.

Taehyung cleared his throat. "Yes. Yes. Of course! It went great. You too. You worked hard for this too" Taehyung said.

"I hope things will go successfully tomorrow too" Jeongguk said.

"Yeah. Yeah. Me too" Taehyung tried to find fords to speak. "I was...um...wondering if you'd-"

"Hey Babe!" A cheerful voice said cutting Taehyung off. Taehyung was bewildered to see Jackson jog up to them and wrap an arm around Jeongguk.

"Hey" Jackson said, completely ignoring Taehyung. "Do you want to get out of here? My place or your place?"

Jeongguk smiled at Jackson. "I really do. Your place. I like it there"

"Awesome" Jackson said and kissed Jeongguk's temple, making Jeongguk giggle.

Taehyung glared at the scene unfolding in front of him.

Why were Jackson and Jeongguk behaving like this? Has Jeongguk already moved on from Taehyung?

Taehyung bit back the sob that's threatening to escape from his throat. Tears threatened to spill.

"Oh Taehyung!" Jackson's voice made Taehyung snap back from his thoughts to the couple standing in front of him.

"Hey Jackson" Taehyung said and smiled weakly.

"The whole thing was fabulous, dude. I'm impressed. Good job" Jackson said, his arm around Jeongguk.

Taehyung felt anger surge through him.

How dare Jackson touch Jeongguk like that? Jeongguk was Taehyung's. And only Taehyung's.

But...

"Now if you'd excuse us" Jackson said and bowed at Taehyung, and whisked Jeongguk away with him. Taehyung watched, frozen in his spot as they walked away, glued to each other like a couple of lovebirds.

The need to break down right then and there was getting stronger. He didn't want his co-workers or his staff to see the CEO of Tan Corporation weeping. He was alone at that moment and majority of people had left already, but anyone could walk in any moment. He didn't want to test his chances.

So he held it in and ran.

"What the fuck was that?"

Jackson voiced out the moment he and Jeongguk entered the parking lot, releasing his hold on Jeongguk's hand, a glint of humor evident in his voice.

Jeongguk chuckled, looking around to see if they were alone. There were only a few vehicles left there, many having been left off hours earlier.

"Dude he looked like he saw his wife with another guy" Jackson laughed. "I'd pay to see that again" He leaned against his car and looked at Jeongguk, who was smiling.

"Thank you for that" Jeongguk said.

"Anytime, man" Jackson replied casually. "But what was that? What's going on between you two?"

Jeongguk tried to laugh it off. "Wasn't in the mood to talk to my enemy, you know"

"Yeah?" Jackson eyed him sideways, as if he's not going to buy it.

"Alright. Alright" Jeongguk held his hands up in defeat. "He found out I'm gay. It wasn't really on the top of my let-my-enemy-know list you know"

Jackson laughed. "For real?"

"Yeah"

"Alright. Happy to help I guess. But really, I'm only one call away" Jackson winked.

Jeongguk eyed him confusedly. "What do you mean?"

"Booty call" Jackson smirked. "One call away, baby"

Jeongguk chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind. But today I'm kind of tired. Better head home"

"Of course" Jackson smiled and both males bid their goodbyes and left.

On the way home, Jeongguk couldn't help thinking about the things he has done to Taehyung. Jeongguk hated Taehyung. He had used Jeongguk. And Jeongguk being naïve and clueless, had let himself be used. Taehyung was selfish and hadn't cared about Jeongguk's feelings at all.

But was this revenge? He was making Taehyung suffer, wasn't he?

Wait...

Jeongguk shook his head to dismiss the trial of moronic thoughts that crossed his mind.

How in the world could this be revenge? Taehyung didn't even like Jeongguk. He doesn't give a shit about what Jeongguk does. Whatever Jeongguk does, he will not get jealous. Because why would he? He clearly said he doesn't have any kind of feelings towards Jeongguk.

Though Jeongguk did use Jackson earlier that day, it was for nothing. It was useless. It wasn't like Taehyung was going to get jealous because of that anyway.

But the expression that painted his face when Jeongguk walked away with Jackson was questionable. It was of somewhat surprise, confusion and...sadness?

Jeongguk buried his head in his hands, running his fingers wildly through his hair. He had spent his days trying to sum up what a stupid idea it was to fuck himself on Taehyung's thighs.

Yes, he regretted it the moment he stepped out of the men's room. But his rival's reaction was just too satisfying. Jeongguk had sought revenge and he had gotten it. Not to mention he had had a thing for Taehyung's thick thighs for a while now but he had never gotten the chance to act on his desires.

He had wanted to act as if nothing had happened between them. That's why he practiced to dodge any advances of Taehyung towards him the way he did today. But the attempts were proven hardly fruitful because in the end Taehyung would be hardly affected and Jeongguk would be left to be hurt.

There was one more day left and they wouldn't have to meet again after that. Once the event is over, they could go back to how they were: enemies. Jeongguk's heart hurt to even think about it. But Jeongguk had to move on from toxic people in his life.
