A sweet aroma filled Jeongguk's nostrils and made his stomach grumble angrily as he made his way towards the source of the intoxicating smell of pancakes being cooked. He hurriedly sat at the kitchen table that was already set up with pancakes, toast, jams and butter. He inhaled a few pancakes while checking his email. He was running late.
"Jeonggukkie" A feminine voice made Jeongguk look up from his phone screen. He saw his aunt sitting on the kitchen stool across him. Jeongguk flashed a smile at her.
"Good morning, Aunt Mina" Jeongguk said.
"Good morning. Eat slowly or you'll choke" She said, and reached to ruffle his hair.
"Aunty! Don't screw up my hairstyle. And I'm going to be late. I need to hurry"
"Aigoo you child, who's going to say anything if you run late? You own the place" Aunt Mina said.
"But Aunty!"
"No buts. Here have another toast" She said, placing a toast on Jeongguk's plate.
Aunt Mina, or Jeon Mina is Jeongguk's father's older sister. She isn't married so she lived with Jeongguk. She was now in her late forties. Jeongguk knew that she was really beautiful when she was younger and there's no way she couldn't have not found a man for her. All Jeongguk knew was years before he was born, when his aunt was arranged to be married to this guy, he had broken off the engagement a few days before the wedding. Which had made his Aunt depressed and faced a mental trauma that she had to go to therapy for three years straight because her condition wasn't improving. Apparently she had really loved the guy she was going to marry. But the guy had ditched Aunt Mina for money.
She could've owned their family business but when Jeongguk's grandfather passed away, Aunt Mina had still been in therapy. Not having been in the right mentality, her father had written the company to Jeongguk's father's name.
Jeongguk didn't know much but it hurt him that his sweet aunt had to go through such a catastrophe. His aunt had refused to marry anyone else after the incident.
When Jeongguk's parents fought and both of them completely ignored Jeongguk's presence when he was a kid and when the going was hard, it was his aunt that had always been there, comforting him, singing to him, calming him down. His aunt did what his mother was supposed to do for him. Even now, she acted like she was his mother.
Jeongguk smiled at his aunt now, spreading some jam on his toast and Aunt Mina grinned in return. Her eyes wrinkled at the corners as she did.
It had been a week since his encounter with Taehyung. He didn't see him anywhere after that night, so it was easier for him to keep his mind off of Taehyung. But he knew that he couldn't ignore Taehyung forever. They had to gather sometime soon to discuss the sponsorship. But when they do, he'll have to be ready to control himself and only see Taehyung as his enemy.
"Are you going to meet that Kim anytime soon?" Jeongguk's trial of thoughts was disturbed be Aunt Min. He hoped she couldn't read his mind or anything.
"Why?" Jeongguk said, after swallowing a bite.
"I heard the meeting didn't go as planned last time" Mina said.
Jeongguk almost choked on the food that he had just put in his mouth. "What?" Jeongguk croaked out.
"You told me that you needed to meet with him again because you couldn't plan anything with him last time"
"Ah yes" Jeongguk visibly relaxed.
"Bet he's really hard to work with. He must be such an unprincipled man just like his uncle" Aunt Mina sounded bitter.
Jeongguk furrowed his eyebrows together in confusion. "His uncle?"
"Oh yeah. Never mind that. I mean his whole family is filled with ungrateful and treacherous people" Aunt Mina let out a chuckled.
Jeongguk nodded, not really understanding why she's calling Taehyung's family treacherous. But then again, why wouldn't she? The Jeons hated the Kims.
Lately it had crossed Jeongguk's mind that Jeongguk didn't really know anything about Taehyung. In his life of 23 years, he had only talked with Taehyung a handful of times. Other than the fact that the older boy was really annoying to talk with and any conversation led to an argument, Jeongguk didn't really have any other reasons to hate him.
Sure, he hated that Taehyung is smart sometimes. He hated how he was able to compete with Jeongguk at different situations and win. He hated how arrogant he is sometimes. He hated how sharp his mouth was, his ability to come up with a comeback almost instantly. He really hated Taehyung's mouth. That mouth that sucked Jeongguk off a week ago. He hated Taehyung's perky ass. He hated-
Wait, what?
Did Jeongguk really think that Taehyung's ass was perky? Eww, Jeongguk, gross. You hate him.
Before he could pop a boner at seven in the morning, and in front of his aunt, who's like a mother to him, he quickly took a few sips from his orange juice and bid goodbye to her and left.
On the ride to his office, his mind was yet again occupied with thoughts of Taehyung. Come to think of it, Jeongguk didn't have any personal grudge against Taehyung at all. He was brought up hating the name of Kim. The Kim family is a bunch of low-lives who'd grab any chance to sue Jeon Corporation, that's what he'd been taught.
These thoughts had never crossed Jeongguk's mind up until now. He wondered what it would be like to be friends with Kim Taehyung.
No, that's a ridiculous thought. His family wouldn't tell him to stay away from The Kim's without a reason, right? Right.
He shook away any useless thoughts of Taehyung that had been crossing his mind for the last week every time before they went too far. Maybe he was just horny and was making excuses so he could think about Taehyung in any way. As much he dreaded himself for it, he can't just dismiss the feeling in his gut that'd yearn for another night with Taehyung. He had been controlling himself for the last week. Refusing to touch himself (except that one time he just had to do it) in thoughts about Taehyung. Mainly because anytime he got turned on after memories began to flood his mind of the night they'd had, he'd remember the work he's supposed to do. And that was such a turn off. So the previous week hadn't been as unmanageable as it seemed.

"What did you say?" Jeongguk almost shouted, anger coursing through his whole being.
The man clad in a neat black suit sighed. He had platinum blond dyed hair and a round face. He was handsome, Jeongguk had acknowledged, but also he was cute. He had cheeks that looked so squishy and eyes like a cat's. He was smart. His eyes gave it off. He is always controlled and composed and knew how to deal with Jeongguk's bullshit. Probably because the said man and he had been friends since high school.
Min Yoongi, Jeongguk's assistant.
"You have Golf tomorrow at three in the evening with President Moon and Kim" Yoongi repeated himself.
Jeongguk pinched the skin between his eyes and let out an exasperated sigh.
"Why Kim?" Jeongguk asked after having seemingly calmed down.
"Well if I was President Moon I would tell you. But unfortunately I'm not and nor am I capable of telepathy" Yoongi said in a melancholic voice.
Jeongguk sighed, again. This shit was stressing him out. One more week. Just one, was what he needed to stop the unneeded thoughts of Taehyung that cross his mind from time to time. He was not ready to meet Taehyung tomorrow.
God knows what he might do if he lost his self-control. It's just, every time he's anywhere near Taehyung, he felt weird. Like something about Taehyung seemed to draw him towards him. He first realized this at the meeting with the President at the Blue House. That time he shamelessly jacked off in the Blue House bathroom.
The memories of the scenario made him cringe. Hopefully no one knows what he did.
Maybe it was Taehyung's cockiness he found hot. Maybe it was his mere presence. Sitting next to him during the meeting didn't help at all.
He had been trying to suppress thoughts of Taehyung for the last week and if he had another week, he'd be able to control himself in front of his enemy. He was giving himself 75% success rate. He was planning on meeting Taehyung the next week but tomorrow was too soon. He swore the President had the worst timing.
Jeongguk cursed out loud.
"What's the problem?" Yoongi said, he had sat down in front of Jeongguk, and they were eye level now. "You don't have anything in your schedule tomorrow after lunch, except for reviewing the documents about our new product"
"I don't want to see Kim" Jeongguk whispered.
"Well, that's understandable. But you can't deny the request made by-"
"Yes yes I know that, Yoongi. I don't have a choice but to go" Jeongguk snapped.
"Hey Gguk" Yoongi's voice was soft, caring. When Jeongguk looked up to meet his eyes, he saw that Yoongi's eyes had the same softness of his voice. And the warm hand that reached and lovingly caressed Jeongguk's shoulder made him relax against it. He felt comfortable.
This wasn't Jeongguk's assistant Yoongi. This was Jeongguk's best friend Yoongi. The man who had been with him through thick and thin. The man who had given his shoulder for Jeongguk to cry on several times. This was the man who had told him that it's okay when he came out to his friends as gay. This was the man who made Jeongguk throw away the razor that had often slit his wrists open because his home felt like a living hell to him.
Jeongguk was broken. And Yoongi had always been there to glue him back together.
Jeongguk looked at Yoongi's brown orbs now. He smiled.
"I'll go. It's fine" Jeongguk whispered.
"Are you sure everything's alright?" Yoongi wasn't a fool. He knew Jeongguk. He must've figured out there's something Jeongguk's not telling him.
Jeongguk nodded. "Yeah"
No matter what the two had been through, this wasn't something he can say out loud. Not even to the person he considered himself closest to. Because in this case, Jeongguk wouldn't be the only one who'll get affected. Besides what he'd done, what he'd thought of doing, what he wants, isn't something he could be able to say out loud.
"It'll be fine" Yoongi said. Jeongguk wanted to believe him.
But oh how wrong Yoongi was.
