Chapter 106 - BTS, CCS, and WBS (3rd person)

A/N:   This chapter honestly makes me nervous, because once again I stepped outside of my comfort zone.   Once again I wish I had kept to writing poetry all this time.  Hopefully you all appreciate it regardless.  Oh, and I just realized (after copy and pasting this chapter) that I really don't like the way wattpad spaced out specific lines....  I tried to separate it out a bit more though.

The seven members had all decided that the Saturday following after the final Sunday of family introductions would be the day they would present their surprise to Daisy. Thanks to Yoongi though that surprise has taken on a much more elaborate presentation than they all had originally planned. The minute they heard his music they each had decided that instead of being released to the public they should use it as an additional romantic gesture for their soulmate and dedicate the song and lyrics to her. Which meant they had just over a week to work on it.

So, now most of them were each sequestered to their own private space attempting to write their own set of lyrics to the song. Each wanting a verse that represented their relationship with her.

Jin was most definitely stuck on the lyrics but he was more tormented by the events the morning sent him mentally than what he wanted to convey at the moment. He woke up alone in his own bed because he had once again chosen to sleep by himself. He simply knew that he had a lot on his plate and was concerned about having mental distractions throughout the day if he had woken up beside her this morning.

He may have known that they would only cuddle against each other throughout the night, but that didn't mean he wasn't tempted. Hell, he finally was able to willingly admit it to himself how much he was really wanting to be with Daisy in every possible sense. He realized that part of him had been worrying that his body's physical reaction to her would overshadow how he felt about her. Which was justification, in his own mind, regarding why he wanted to wait and make it special. He simply didn't want his carnal desire to overshadow the way he feels about her. The other part was that there was something that simply felt right about waiting, especially for how everything was going to plan. Actually, things were going even better than he had initially anticipated.

The gift he had secured thanks to Skai's talented craftsmanship was tucked away for safekeeping. The sketch Skai had drawn quickly when making his suggestion hadn't remotely done a proper representation of the final product. The man was quite gifted with his work. It was almost a travesty that he was tucked away working in the back of a high end boutique rather than producing his artwork on his own and focusing specifically on that alone. Jin even basically mentioned it the last time he saw it. Skai's response had only somewhat surprised him. "Jin no. I work here for a reason. This boutique not only provides me steady income, they also work with me when I get a special commission. I work both here on the sales floor, and I periodically showcase my pieces in the glass case at the cash register. This is comfortable and works for me. Plus, I'm all about being nontraditional in every regard of the word."

Jin hadn't known how to react, but he had definitely understood the sentiment. Skai wore his uniqueness as if it were his favorite suit. Jin found himself wanting Daisy to meet the charismatic craftsman sometime. Something told him that the two would become great friends. He had even suggested it to Skai which the man simply beamed and agreed he would love to meet the woman that inspired the gift.

Jin had to pull himself from his memories to get the day properly started. He headed directly to the kitchen where he expected to already find his soulmate hard at work. Immediately he had been welcomed by the fragrant aroma of something baking and the tantalizing scent of cinnamon and vanilla that filled the air. Daisy was behind the kitchen island attempting to clean up the sprinkled mess from the countertop. He couldn't help but smile warmly especially due to the fact that some of the same powdery mess decorated her cheek almost looking like a fairy had kissed the soft skin of it when she wasn't paying attention and decorated it with glitter dust.

The look she had cast over him was something akin to a deer caught in headlights, as if she might be guilty of something. "Uh. So, I attempted baking this morning."

Jin in that moment recalled how she didn't bake. How she was not only uncomfortable with the idea of perfected measurements, but that she just didn't excel at the process.

"Oh? Did the appropriate amount of ingredients make it into the mixture? You seem to have left a lot behind on the countertop."

Instead of laughing, which is what he was intending, she had grimaced in response. "Yeah, it kind of got away from me."

Without completely thinking his action through Jin reached out and swept the sugary concoction from her cheek. Once again without checking his actions Jin automatically licked the sugary substance from his fingers. He caught how Daisy's eyes had traced over his actions, and that paired with the moment he registered the flavor on his tongue led his mind to conjuring up some rather graphic lewd ideas. It took a lot of effort to wrest away those thoughts this morning and keep Daisy from noticing how said thoughts affected him.

Yeah, he was having suggestive daydreams regarding this morning running rampant in his head on repeat, and it was stifling his creative process. He knew he wanted to mention how she was his princess, and that time played a huge factor in their love story.

He looks down at what he had written thus far and knits his eyebrows together in both annoyance and frustration.

I watched the sands of time slide through my fingers

And worried I wished on the wrong star.

Yet despite those years that slipped away

Somehow, Princess, here you are.

He has to wonder if he is the only one having this much issue with the lyrics.

Jk frowned at what he had written. He wasn't intending his verse to focus on how Daisy saw past his somewhat dark protective nature. But, he would be lying if he didn't admit that the conversation they had regarding how he had tried to play hero and Korain was cast as the villain in his memory was a sort of turning point for the two of them.

Perhaps that was why when he sat down to write the words that automatically came to him sort of reflected that moment. That fierce protection in himself that he can't completely mitigate.

The words and phrasing though are rough at best. The thought is there and definitely obviously conveyed. But he feels the phrasing is somewhat weak.

I can't say I ever expected to find someone

With possibly the sweetest of hearts

Even in some of my darkest of moments.

You still are able to touch and flush out the better parts.

He finds himself thinking of that night again. The night of the concert that the five girls were left in tears due to Korain's horrific suggestions. He never wanted to see any woman treated like that.

Thinking about that memory once again brings up the memory of his discussion with Daisy. He'd be lying to himself if he didn't admit that his favorite part of the discussion was her Anpanman joke. But it obviously wasn't the most important part. The most important part was how Daisy made him realize that things aren't always as they first appear. That perhaps there is a deeper reason that Korain wasn't fired after that event.

Jk looks down at the words on the paper. Tracing them over with his eyes. He isn't completely pleased with the words. But he understands their meaning and definitely agrees with focusing on this moment simply because it was their turning point.

Tae sighed. He knew they all were having issues with their lyrics. It was always difficult when the subject matter was even more personal. Not, that they didn't think everything they wrote was personal in its own way. But writing a song lyric to convey what his soulmate meant to him? Yeah that was about as personal as it could get.

Honestly the idea of writing lullabies for their future babies was a lot less stressful than this. He had already tucked away some ideas he had brainstormed in that regard to work on later. He planned on sharing them with Jimin at some point in the future to see what his best friend thought about them, and if Jimin thought they were good then he planned on sharing them with Namjoon.

Namjoon was always his last step of approval regarding his writing before he took it for evaluation outside of the group. He always gave objective criticism. That's why he always went to Jimin first. Because Jimin's outlook was definitely more subjective. He wouldn't necessarily say what Tae wanted to hear. But he would always zero in on the best parts and point them out first. Then he would make sure to compliment his work. Tae thrived on compliments, probably more than he should. But, doesn't everyone feel better about themselves when they get praise for something they have worked diligently on?

Tae looks down at his words and frowns. Perhaps, Jimin can once again help him clean up this verse. It's not horrible, the original thought is there, but it's also not what he wholly wants to convey either.

It only took a single glance at each other

For a beacon of light to come bursting through the clouds.

From that first moment on I can't think of a life.

Where you, my Angel, aren't around.

If the others thought it was easy for Jimin to be eloquent with his words when he writes letters they would probably be sorely mistaken. If he stuck solely to paper when he wrote the letters he composed to Daisy then the floor of his bedroom would be littered with a sea of discarded thoughts. He is constantly editing himself and going through revisions. That is why writing this verse is probably even harder than anything he has ever written before.

Good thing he made his own digital copies of each love letter he composed to her. It made it easier to immerse himself in the feelings with her he shared by reading each thought he had written out. Perhaps it was even more helpful that he had a couple of notes here and there in the copies he had kept for himself. Notes on where he thought he could improve the letters and ideally focus on what he was wanting to convey.

He starts the verse with a similar opening as he would his letters. From there he just lets his emotions write out the rest for now.

In a single solitary moment I felt everything wonderful that one person can feel.

You are my dearest love.

Who holds the biggest piece of my heart.

I can only imagine endless joy between us, even shared when we are apart.

While the rap line is definitely working on their part of the song Hobi isn't happy about it because they got relegated to do a rap chorus. Each of them won't have a moment to do their own rap verse like each of the vocal line will get a chance to do their own verse. "Hobi-hyung, I told you already it's because there will already be four verses and that already makes the song potentially lengthy. I'm not saying you can't write something yourself for her later. But, we need to edit ourselves somehow. We already have to contend with the fact that each verse is going to be exceptionally different. That means our rap chorus has to tie everything in together. In some ways that means our part of the project could potentially be the hardest to accomplish."

Hobi sighs. "I know. It's just..." He trails off because he isn't sure that he wants to vocalize with anyone how he is feeling. He has told her how much he loves her, but sometimes he wonders if he has shown her how much. His actions have mostly been silly and if not silly than almost sexually rapacious in nature. Perhaps he should do something extra in the coming weeks for her, and if not in that time frame while they are on their trip together.

Namjoon can see Hobi's struggles, and while he may be his elder in the manner of months he knows that in many ways, on a maturity level at least, he is younger. He may not let on how he worries that his antics may be misinterpreted, but it is pretty obvious this is the way he is feeling. Well, at least to those that know him really well.

It's somewhat similar to the moment that they don't talk about. The moment that Hobi left before the group debuted. Sure, Namjoon fought hard to get him to come back, but he honestly believes that Jk was also a driving force in his decision to return. Who knows what would have happened with Daisy if he hadn't been a part of the group? Would he still have been one of her soulmates, and would she have been the driving force to bring them back together?

Yoongi helped coax the other two to get focused back on the task at hand, but he saw how much they were both mentally struggling with their own demons of sorts. It took the trio hours to hash out something that they felt said what each of them felt regarding Daisy. The ideas reflected were : wishing, hopes, and prayers. Namjoon almost argued the prayers part since he is an atheist, but Hobi pointed out that that fact alone made the lines have more depth and meaning.

We never stopped.

Our wishes and prayers.

We never gave up hope

That you were out there.

All it took was a little more reflection

A little more time to see more days through.

In the end you are more than we could ask for.

We found our dream it's true. Because our Forever starts with you.

"I think we just found the song title too." Yoongi reflects.

Hobi and Namjoon both smile then say together in unison. "Forever starts with you."

The minute WBS gets done with her work she doesn't waste a second lingering around after cleaning up her station. She rushes out the door without even a moment spared to look over her shoulder. She worried for a moment as she exited the large glass doors that she probably should have taken that moment. What if TDS had been here on duty today after all? But, she didn't have time to dilly dally. She was meeting up with CCS a few miles from here at a nearby park, and she shouldn't keep the other young woman waiting.

It didn't take her long to find the bench that CCS found to perch on. The young woman had sent her a few photos of this specific spot from different angles just so she wouldn't be wandering the park for too long hunting her down.

They sat side by side in silence for a few brief moments until CCS sighed. "I don't know if I am going to be able to stick this through."

WBS sighs in turn too. "I know what you mean. I think TDS is taking this whole scheme way too far. It was one thing in the beginning just to try to arrange some time to meet them. But this?"

CCS reaches her hand out to stop WBS midspeech. "While I agree that this next step is not what I signed up for, that's not what I meant about not being able to stick it through. I don't think I have a way to pull the funds together to make it happen."

"Are you saying that if you had the necessary money to pay your way you would still be on board with this?" WBS didn't expect that turn of events. She probably should have, but CCS seemed so skeptical and unsure that she convinced herself that she had an automatic ally. But, now she had to worry that CCS might report back to TDS regarding her doubts and unwillingness to cooperate.

"I don't agree with it. I do believe it is highly possible that Daisy hasn't somehow tricked them, and that she is their soulmate." She groans. "What has me wanting to stick around is where the next part of the plan will take us."

Oh. Well, I can kind of see that point of view I suppose. But it's exceptionally selfish to want to continue on just to have the chance to travel somewhere exotic.
