"ENOUGH ..."
Indra yells out as she break apart a fight between two grounders, Marie and someone else, the two training. "Enough! I hope you've saved some energy for a hunt. I'm told our hosts have no food."
Octavia steps forward, tossing her sword that Lincoln had gifted her aside. "Time for one more?"
Indra shakes her head and steps around the girl. "Step aside, skygirl, we're hungry."
She doesn't want to fight her, nor does she want to train a sky girl. But she doesn't want Octavia, but why did she choose to be so welcoming of Marie? It doesn't add up, and Octavia wants to question it, but she wouldn't, not with an audience. Instead, Octavia takes another step forward. "Make me."
"Marie, give her what she wants." Indra waves her hand and Marie hands her sword to the woman. She steps forward, readying the her body the way she had been taught.
A guard steps forward, "Sir, your daughter will hurt her."
Kane reaches out and stops him. "Let her fight."
Octavia steps forward, shuffling her feet and swinging her arm, which Marie grabs. Marie twists her arm, bringing her to her knees with a yelp of pain. "Mar!" Octavia sends her head back, smashing it into Marie's head, who was level with hers as the girl behind her had crouched down.
Feeling an iron taste in her mouth, Marie spits out blood mixed with saliva. She leans back when Octavia swings her fist again, but Marie doesn't let her get a hit, not yet anyways. That goes on for awhile, until Marie lands a solid hit on Octavias cheek, which sends her to the ground.
Marie shuffles away, her fingers aching from the cracks across her knuckles. She can see her father's worried gaze on both her and Octavia, she wonders who he hopes will win, her or Octavia.
Octavia stands on slightly wobbly knees, that ache when she stands straight. "You gonna give up that easily, Marie?"
Indra nods. "She wants more. Oblige her."
Marie lets Octavia land a good punch to her face, which stuns her and makes her eye twitchy. The Kane daughter pushes Octavia — and the Blake girl lands on her ass, letting out an oof but gets up anyways.
With a final kick from Marie, to Octavia's side, the girl stays down and groans when she roles onto her back. The rain pattering down feels nice against her "Stay down, even a child knows when to stop."
Kane pushes past his daughter, bumping his shoulder with hers. He kneels by Octavia, wrapping an arm around her and pulls her into a standing position. She puts a majority of her weight into Kane, letting him guide her to medical.
Marie enters medical after Kane had left. He had stayed the whole time Octavia had gotten her stitches, and was there for every wound Jackson had disinfected and for each shot she got as an infection prevention. But Marie, although water drops from her clothes and her shoes drag in dirt, she still goes and stands by Octavia. "You fought with aggression, no thought, no defense. Always leaving yourself open -- revealing your next move even before you strike."
Octavia looks away, and fiddles with her thumbs. "Yeah yeah, I got my ass kicked. That makes you happy."
Marie sits on the bed beside Octavia, despite knowing that it's clean and sterile and Jackson will have to change the covers. "Kinda. But it makes me more happy that you didn't give up, Tavia. Indra told me spirit like that is rare. It must be guided." There's a brief pause, and Marie scratches at her arm where a wound is healing, blood coating her fingertip. "Do you know what a warriors second is?"
"An apprentice. You and Anakin." Octavia answers, this time she looks at Marie and not towards her dirt clad fingernails.
"I can help make you a great warrior, O." Marie states and gives her a soft smile. Octavia believed in Marie when they first landed on the ground, and Marie was the first person who saw Octavia as her own person and not as Bellamy's little sister.
" ... "
Anakin gasped as his eyes shot wide open. He had been unconscious, cramped in a small metal cage that had his body forced to curl. He was placed beside another grounder he didn't know the name of, but by the looks of it, a member of Azgeda by the scars on his face.
"Bellamy?" Anakin croaked out, eyes darting between the visible cages that made him baffled at what the mountain men were really doing it. Hearing Clarke say what she had was one thing, but actually seeing it was crazy. "Bellamy Blake?"
"Anakin?" Bellamy lifted his head from where he was upside down, his body draining its blood to help heal whoever was in the medbay inside the damned mountain. He tried to see if he could find Anakin in his cage, but instead, he came face to face with Maya, a girl who was crouched down and inspecting him.
"Get him up, now!" Someone shouted, and that's when Bellamy realized that Daisy, a younger girl was standing beside Maya. He frowned, how was this girl supposed to see the horrors of what was happening behind closed doors. "Maya!"
"Daisy, be quiet." Maya harshly whispered as she pressed a button that gently lowered Bellamy's body to the floor. When her finger lifted from the button, Daisy was already attempting to unbuckle the restraints that Bellamy had on his wrists and ankles.
"Bellamy Blake?" Maya questioned, her voice soft as she helped the man up. She recognized him by one of the captured delinquents drawings — Foxx. Whom she had many wonderful conversations with, and who she actually enjoyed sitting with well looking at drawings and listening to stories. "You're here?" Maya took notice of his curly hair and untouched skin. He seemed perfectly okay, other than the small bruises on his body from where the needles were embedded in his skin and veins. And then she saw the small bump under his skin. "You have a tracker, I need to help you get rid of it."
"Hide!" Daisy pushed him to the side, hiding Bellamy behind a cabinet as the metal door beeped and was open.
Maya stood there with a sweet smile as she watched a guard step into the room. "Maya, what are you doing in here?" He asked, eyeing the girl up and down in attempts to see what she was doing in a place she wasn't authorized to be in.
"Sorry sir." Daisy skipped forward. She played the part of a sweet seemingly innocent six year old. But the way she had been forced to grow up, and what she had been forced to see, she was so much more than just a six year old who was still learning how to spell 'mississippi', but then again, her father couldn't spell that either. "You know how my grandpa doesn't like it when I wonder, but I just really wanted to see the new ones they brought in."
The guard nodded, unaware of the man who was sneaking up behind him. "Lets go before someone else —" Bellamy Blake stabbed a scalpel into his neck, letting him bleed out and die to save his own life.
"Let me out of here!" Anakin banged on the cage he was in, which made Bellamy drop the scalpel to the floor, grab the keys and head towards the man calling for him. "Now!"
