I was with Mama M. Her pregnancy cravings were really taking a hold on her. She sat there, eating tomato that she insisted I spread peanut butter over the surface over. "This is gross." I told her.
"I know, but my god, it's delicious." She smirked, shovelling some more into her mouth.
"As long as you're happy, Mama M." I grinned.
"You're a sweet girl, Ellie." Mama M spoke softly.
I let a warm smile appear on my face. "Thanks."
"Thank you for coming home. I know it can't have been easy, knowing Negan's here." She sympathised.
I shrugged. "I gotta be here for my family." I put my hand over hers. "Whatever you need. I'm right here for you."
Mama M put her other hand over mine before eating another peanut butter covered tomato. "How are things going with Luca?"
I laughed. "I think... There's a small chance I could possibly have a crush on him which is so weird because he isn't Chris Evans."
She smirked. "Well, he definitely likes you. So, if you need some help flirting." She wiggled her eyebrows.
"Oh my god." I laughed.
Carl suddenly burst in. "Rosita and a few others found people on their run. They're at the gate."
Mama M stood up. "I'm coming."
"Want some help?" I offered.
"You've been taking care of me all day. Go relax." She ordered, before leaving with Carl. I ran a hand through my hair before I headed upstairs to run a bath.
I was walking through Alexandria, trying to find Mama M to give her the nutrients pills that Siddiq had ordered her to take twice a day. Suddenly, Luca ran up to me.

"Hey, you." He grinned, walking next to me.
"Hi, Luca. What's up?" I smiled as I continued to search for Mama M.
"Just saw you and decided you'd be the best company this place has to offer." He responded.
"Ah, always the flirt." I teased.
"Can you blame me?" He retorted.
I glanced at him, smiling before shaking my head. "Have you seen Mama M? I got medication she needs to take."
"She's at the infirmary." Luca responded.
"Why? What happened?" I panicked.
"Not for her. She's visiting a friend." Luca replied. "The new people brought in? Well, Michonne new one of them. Before. She's a little beat up, but she'll be okay."
We got to the infirmary, I saw Mama M walking away from the woman I assumed she used to know. I passed her the small bottle. "You knew her?" I asked.
Mama M nodded. "Jocelyn. We knew each other in school. We were best friends for years." She replied, taking the medication. "She's with a few boys, and a girls. She says there's more out there. They're all teenagers, the youngest is fifteen, oldest is nineteen. One of the girls are pregnant."
I nodded. "Bit dangerous when you don't have a community like we do."
Michonne sighed. "Not using protection does have some consequences." She pointed to her stomach.
"Remember when I walked in on you and Mama Rick making that consequence? I'm still traumatised. I mean, in my guest room?" I complained.
Mama M laughed and shook her head. "We apologised for that."
I hummed. "So, you going out to get her people?"
"Yea, me, Sophia, Carl, Rosita, Gabriel and a few others." Mama M nodded.
"Can I come with?" I requested.
"No, I need somebody here to be in charge." She denied.
"What about me, Mrs Grimes? I'd like to help." Luca volunteered.
Mama M smiled. "Sure, Luca. We leave in an hour. Meet me by the main gate." She then kissed my forehead before walking off.
"Mrs Grimes?" I grinned, turning to him. "That's awfully fancy of you, Mr Buckley."
"Just trying to make a good impression on my future girlfriend's mother." Luca smirked.
I laughed. "Future girlfriend?"
"You'll submit to my charms sooner or later, Miss Dixon. Just you wait." He grinned, before turning on his heal and walking away.
"I-" I began, but cut myself off. Not knowing what to say.
"Ellie's got a crush." Sophia said in a sing song voice while passing.
"I do not." I denied.
"Uh huh." Sophia sarcastically agreed.
The group had brought back the rest of Jocelyn's people. We were all sitting around a campfire in the garden of a house they'd been set up in. There were five teenage boys, six teenage girls.
"So, you lived here long?" This girl named Mia asked. Mia was pregnant, and looked about eighteen.
"Uhm... Yea. Since I was ten. I'm thirteen now. I had a year where I lived on this farm, but I came back when I found out Mama M was pregnant." I explained.
"Cool." She smiled.
"So... How far along are you?" I tried.
"Six months. Bailey's the father." Mia answered.
"Nice." I smiled, forcing it slightly.
"You have a boyfriend?" Mia continued.
"No." I replied, instantly. "I mean... There's this guy, but- I don't know. It's complicated."
"How many times have you tried to get pregnant?" Mia asked.
"What- none!" I answered, very confused by the question. "Why would I-"
"To re-populate the Earth. Duh. That's why I'm pregnant." Mia smiled, rubbing her stomach. "The other girls have tried, but I'm the only successful one so far."
My jaw dropped. "I'm gonna get a drink." I excused myself before pretty much running to the kitchen.
"Hey, so, don't be mad." Sophia said, walking into the kitchen.
"See, when you start a sentence like that? It worries me. I'm scared now." I deadpanned.
"So uhm... I may have accidentally gotten us a sleepover here." She admitted.
I raised my eyebrows. "Sorry? What?"
"Amelia, a girl I was talking too? She's worried about being her tonight. So, I told her that me and you would stay with them all. Just to prove that everything's okay." Sophia responded.
I let out a breath. "Sophia." I said gently, taking her hands. "You are so nice. In fact, you're an angel. I know that you would sacrifice your own life to save any innocent person. You're the best, the nicest, the most lovable person I know. But, my god do not under any circumstances drag me into your niceness." I laughed, taking my hands back.
"You're laughing." Sophia furrowed her eyebrows.
"It's kinda funny." I admitted. "One night?"
"One night." Sophia nodded.
I sighed. "Fine."
She clapped her hands together. "Thank you. I love you. You won't regret it."
"I already do." I muttered.
I was laying on the sofa. I was asleep, well... Trying to get to sleep. I couldn't help but feel uneasy. Mama M trusted them, so I guess that meant I had to as well. Letting go of my worries, putting my faith in Mama M... I was about to fall into a deep slumber filled with dreams of none other than Chris Evans. I was awoken to somebody grabbing my arm, the last thing I saw was Mia putting a needle into my arm.
When I became aware of my surroundings, my hands were bound with rope. They were tied to a headboard behind me. I was on a very lumpy single bed, in a cold room. I slowly blinked open my eyes. My shoes were off. I slept in low rise jeans and a cropped tank last night, and I was still wearing that. I looked to my right and saw Sophia in the same bound state. Her shoes had also been removed, but she was still in the same clothing. My sister was blinking open her eyes
"Ellie?" She whispered, her voice was hoarse.
"I'm here, Soph." I answered, already starting to fight the rope around my wrists.
"What's going on?" She asked, starting to panic.
The ropes were already loosened on my wrists. "Amateurs." I muttered. "I don't know, but I'm getting us outta here."
"How?" Sophia questioned.
I sat up, chucking the discarded rope to the floor before walking over to break her free. "By being my awesome self."
It didn't take me long to free Sophia. She sat up, rubbing her wrists. "Thank you." She breathed out. I went over to the door. Unlocked.
"Woah, these people are terrible at kidnapping people." I muttered. I pulled the door open, I looked left, and right. Clear. "Stay close." I told her. We started quietly walking the halls. Not a single person in sight.
"This is suspicious." Sophia whispered.
"Yes, it is." I agreed. The cold of the stone floor was seeping through my white ankle socks and making my feet tingle. I ignored the sensation. "Here's the door." I told her. I sped up. The double doors were blue, with stained glass windows. I could only see the light of day coming through. I pushed open the door, my heart sank when I saw them.
"You failed the test." Jocelyn stated.
"You what?" Sophia pushed.
They were all forming a semi circle around the door, they were armed... There was no way we'd get through.
"All you had to do was stay put, then you wouldn't have to face the cross." Amelia spoke.
"The cross? What? You gonna crucify us?" I questioned.
"You wish." Mia chuckled.
"Get them." Jocelyn ordered.
It was a losing battle, so I minimised my struggle in an attempt to reduce bodily harm. My hands were tied above my head to a pipe. My feet were dangling since I was too short to touch the floor. It was starting to make me feel ill.
"This didn't have to happen." Jocelyn told us.
"You kidnapped us." Sophia stated.
"To join us." Jocelyn responded. "We thought you'd understand, but, we need you."
"For what?" I hissed.
Jocelyn spoke like it was obvious. "We're on a mission from God."
"Oh, Jesus." I muttered as I watched one of the boys putting a metal cross in fire. It was about four inches by four inches. It was starting to turn red with how hot it was.
"You're going to repent for your sin. You just don't understand." Jocelyn told us as the boy walked over and stood behind me, another stood in front of me and grasped my hips to keep me still.
"You stay away from her!" Sophia yelled. That's when I felt the hot cross touch the lower left of my skin. I screamed as the metal burnt my skin and made it sizzle. I couldn't help but throw my head back. "No! Stop it! Stop, please!" Sophia screamed and begged. I tried to pull away, but the boy in front of me made that impossible. "Just let us go! Please!"
The same thing happened to Sophia. I couldn't stop it. I made my throat go raw screaming for her. Once that was over, they took us back to the bedroom. Our hands ended up bound to the headboard again... Except this time with handcuffs. The first time, we were supposed to escape because it was a test. It bruised my ego a little, but I had bigger problems. Literally.
Turns out they took this mission pretty seriously. They didn't care if you screamed. They didn't care if you cried. They didn't care if you begged. They didn't care how much we bled. They didn't care about us. In their eyes, they were doing it for God.
After two hours, they untied us, locked the door, and left. Neither of us could move. They'd left us in puddles of our own blood. We'd been laying in silence for an hour. "Are you okay?" I whispered.
"No." Sophia's broken voice responded. "How can people be so inhumane?"
"I've been asking myself that for years." I replied.
"I mean, not even Negan-" Sophia cut herself off. "What do we do?"
I pulled myself to sit up, trying to ignore the agony that came from the movement. "They're all gonna die."
Another hour went by, I couldn't escape the room, I was forced to give up. I was using my teeth to carve a shiv out of a relatively thick stick I'd found in the room. I wasn't sure what type of building we were in. Old boarding school maybe. Possibly an abandoned factory where the people would live on sight. It was to decomposed that it was hard to tell.
The door suddenly opened, I hid my shiv in my bra when I realised there was two boys coming in. I didn't have enough shives for that. By that, I mean I had one half carved one. Me and Sophia exchanged looks. "We need to leave." Bailey pulled me to my feet, Nathen pulled Sophia up. Without saying anything Bailey picked me up bridal style, Nathen did the same for Sophia.
The two boys walked down a hallway before I heard something. "Ellie! Sophia!" Mama M's voice screamed.
"Mama!" Sophia screamed back, I didn't get the chance as I was already out a door. I tried fighting him to let me go as he walked me to an RV. He put me down on the sofa as Nathen put Sophia down on the bed. Bailey left the room, Nathen turned his back to us as he watched the door.
"I don't want to hurt any of you!" I heard Mama M's voice say. "Jocelyn is dead now. I just want my girls back."
I could hear Mama crying, the sound of her katana moving. Nathen was starting to look a little nervous. I slowly pulled the shiv from my bra. Trying not to make a single noise, I stood up and limped over to him. He turned around.
Grabbing my biceps, he pushed me backwards and forced me onto the floor. Sophia found the strength to stand up and pull him back. He turned around and forcefully pushed her into the wall and pinned her there
He said something to her, but I couldn't hear as I stood up and limped towards them as fast as I could.
I shoved the wood into his neck before pulling it out. He gurgled, blood sprayed everywhere before he fell to his knees. Eventually, he fell onto his side. He had only been sixteen.
"Thank god." Sophia cried.
"Ellie! Sophia!" Dad's voice called, it was nervous. I couldn't walk properly, so I limped towards the door. I wasn't very fast, but I managed to get to the doorway. I saw some of them laying dead on the grass. I assumed Carl and dad had to kill the rest from inside.
"We're okay." I let out.
"What happened?" Carl questioned.
I slowly sunk down to my knees. I couldn't help but start to cry.
I yawned and looked at the clock on my nightstand when my door slowly pushed itself open. Four in the morning. Little footsteps led all the way up to my bed before RJ crawled in. He thought he was being subtle when he got under the blanket and pushed himself into my side. "What you doing, buddy?"
He jumped at the sudden realisation I was awake. "Oh, you're awake."
I laughed quietly. "Well, don't sound so disappointed." I muttered, wrapping my arms around him. "Why you here, buddy?"
"I had a nightmare." My little brother admitted.
"Awh." I kissed his forehead. "You got nothing to be scared of. Not while I'm here. Okay?"
"Okay." He whispered.
"Go to sleep. I promise everything will be better in the morning." I comforted him.
"Why?" RJ asked.
I grinned. "Because I'm gonna make Carl bake us pancakes."
"Yay!" RJ cheered.
"Shh." I laughed.
"Sorry." He giggled.
"Goodnight, little one."
"Night-night, big one."
