Part 38

College felt different for Arnav, since he joined, her had always been around Khushi, he spent all his time with her and now that she was gone, it kind of felt lonely.

The first week was the hardest of all, he would keep looking around, hoping that a miracle would happen and maybe Khushi would show up, but nothing like that happened, she dint show up and he just felt kind of lonely.

His usually routine was to arrive at college, sit in his class and once it was over he would go set somewhere out until his next class and head back to class, he hadn't even made any friends, so he was alone most of the times.

Sometimes Suman would hangout with him and they both would video call Khushi and talk to her and tell her how much they missed her, it was kind of sad.

Today, like usual, after his class was done he went to sit out, got his phone out so he could call Khushi, whenever he was free, that's what he would always do, today she seemed busy though as she dint receive the call so he just put his phone aside hoping she would call when she would get free.

"Hey, is the space taken?" he heard a voice, he lifted his head up and looked at the girl standing in front of him, and for a moment, he was left in awe.

She was absolutely gorgeous, she had beautiful brown eyes that kind of matched the color of her hair that was perfectly straight and left hanging till her waist. She was dressed in a cute black skirt and a baby pink top, he was so sure he hadn't seen her here before.

"Hello." The girl waved her hand in front of his face bringing him out of the thoughts.

"You can sit." Arnav replied, she smiled and sat down beside him leaving him wondering why she would want to sit here, it wasn't like there was no space, this entire area was kind of empty apart from a few people seated around.

"Are you new in this college?" Arnav asked.

"Yeah, I just joined this year, but I have been around for like a week. I saw you on my first day and I really wanted to talk to you but I was scared." She giggled nervously.

"Why scared?"

"Just... I dint know if you would want to talk to me, you seem to keep to yourself pretty much. Anyway, I am Saira... and you are?"

"Arnav. You have a unique name Saira, what does it mean?" He asked curiously.

"It means a princess." She smiled Arnav nodded as he looked around, he dint know why this girl was here trying to talk to him or anything, but it was kind of good, he had no friends so it was good to have someone to sit with and just talk to.

This area was pretty much empty when he came to sit here, it was usually like that as not many students liked to hang out at this corner of the college, that's why he even came here so no one would disturb him or anything, but today suddenly, it seemed full, there were so many guys around, like a couple groups of four to five guys.

"oh God." Saira said.

"What happened?" Arnav looked at her.

"These guys, it's getting annoying now, they go everywhere I go. I feel like I am being stalked. I even told a few of them off when they tried to flirt with me, but it seems like they can't take the hint." She said.

"Looks like you've got lots of admirers." Arnav laughed, Saira was actually really pretty, she was the kind of pretty than once you'd look at her, you would just want to stare at her and keep staring, so he could get why so many guys were trying to get her attention.

Before Saira could say anything else, Arnav's phone started ringing, he picked it up quickly hoping it was Khushi and when he saw her name flashing on screen, he got excited.

"I've got to take this, it was nice talking to you Saira, I'll see you around yeah." Arnav smiled as he stood up.

"Goodbye Arnav." She waved at him as Arnav walked away while he received the call.

"Hey babe." He smiled at her.

"Hey... I'm sorry I was helping Rudra with something so couldn't pick your call, I miss you." She pouted.

"I miss you too, sometimes I feel like running away from here to come there." Arnav laughed.

"I wish it was possible." Khushi sighed.

"So... all set for college? When do you start?" Arnav asked.

"From Monday, I don't think I'm going to like it without you around, college for me was being with you, going to class together and doing everything together, I can believe that we have to do it separately. I feel like crying I miss you so much."

"I miss you too babe, don't worry time will fly." Arnav said.

"How's college for you? Where's Suman today, she's not with you?"

"No, I haven't seen her today, I was just seated in my usual place, I am glad you called back, I was missing you, a lot."

"I am missing you too, I don't like it here at all, everything just feels so strange." Khushi pouted.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get used to with time, once you start college, you'll also make friends and things will go smoothly."

"What if I make guy friends." Khushi smirked.

"Then I would trust you and believe they are just friends, it's okay to have friends who are guys babe, I trust you." Arnav smiled.

"Aww, you know this is why I love you. Anyway, did you make any new friends or not yet?"

"Not yet, I don't even know how to start a friendly conversation. Thought this new girl came to sit beside me today, we talked for a while and then you called so I left." Arnav said.

"Who is this girl? What's her name? Is she pretty?" Khushi asked making Arnav laugh, suddenly she was acting like she was from the FBI questioning someone's murder.

"Relax, you know I love you and only you." Arnav laughed.

"I know, I just get kinda jealous and insecure, but if I am allowed to have friends who are guy then I guess you are allowed to have friends who are girls, but just love me okay and don't look at any other girl that way." Khushi pouted.

"Don't worry Khushi, you have nothing to worry about. I love you and you love me, no one can come between us." Arnav assured her.

"Okay, anyway Rudra is making a lot of noise, let me go see what he wants. Talk to you later?"

"Okay, love you."

"Love you too." She gave him a flying kiss before she disconnected the call which Arnav pretended to catch.

After the call got disconnected her put it back in his pocket and looked at his watch, he had a lot of time left until his next class started, he had no idea what to do till then.

He leaned against a tree wondering what to do, it was kind of lonely without Khushi around, he really did miss her.

"Boo." Saira tried to scare him but Arnav just stood there still.

"I thought you'll get scared." She pouted.

"Too bad I dint." Arnav said.

"Sorry, I hope it doesn't seem like I am following you around, I just noticed when I was seated with you those guys dint try to bother me, but as soon as you left they were all trying to talk to me so I ran away from there.

Then I saw you here and thought maybe I should come talk to you and hang around so I can avoid them, I hope you don't mind?" She looked at him hopefuly.

"It's okay, you can hang around." Arnav nodded, what harm could helping her do anyway, and those guys really did seem to bother her, they had literally followed her here.

Were they some sort of stalkers or what?

"Why are you always hanging around alone though?" Saira asked.

"Are you stalking me like the guys have been stalking you?" Arnav looked at her curiously.

"No, I've just seen you around and most of the times you are alone, so I was just kind of curious." She giggled.

"I just don't really know how to make friends, so I hang around alone, I do have one friend though but she's not around today."

"Who, Suman?" She asked.

"Yes, you know her?"

"Yeah, I mean I've seen her around like I've seen you around and I've seen you with her a couple of times, I thought she must be your girlfriend or something."

"No... Suman isn't my girlfriend." Arnav laughed, this girl was kind funny.
