Memphis, Tennessee

"Mama!" Amour ran to me as I came to get her from her dad.

"Hey baby!" I smiled picking her up into a hug.

"I misted you!" She said hugging my neck.

"I missed you too, go get your bag baby so we can go." I said sitting her down.

"You can step in." Brandon said stepping to the side.

I stepped in the house but stayed by the door.

"How are you?" I asked being polite.

"I'm good, I fed her about a hour ago so youn gotta worry bout that too much. Her teacher said that she need help with reading but it's normal since she's only four." He said and I nodded.

"Ian worried bout them hoes anyways my baby smart as fuck." I said and he laughed.

"Right, not our fault she don't read in front of them. They be aight." He agreed.

"Bye daddy." Amour waved with her backpack in her arms.

"Youn want me to walk you out princess?" He frowned and she reached for him.

"It's okay come on I'm sorry." She said and I smiled before walking out to my 2023 hyaundi Santa Fe.

I got in the front seat and he opened the backseat buckling her in her seatbelt.

"Aight yall see y'all later, love you princess. Y'all call me if you need me." Brandon said as I rolled my window down when he closed her door.

"Love you daddy." She yelled out and he blew a kiss to her before waving to me turning around.

"Mora you wanna go get some crab later mama?" I asked and she nodded excitedly making me laugh.

"Mommy, I made a doggy." She said and I gasped.

"Really! That's good baby, I'm proud of you! Can you show me when we get home?" I asked and she giggled.

"Mommy it was playdoh silly."

"Oh of course. I'll buy you some playdoh so we can make our own doggy's." I said turning into our driveway.

I got out and opened her door helping her unbuckle herself and she grabbed her backpack and jumped out of the car before running to the door.

I walked to the door flipping to my house key and opened the door. She sat on the ground and started taking her shoes off

"Aight baby I'm going to my office okay? Let me know if you need me." I said taking my shoes off.

"Okay mama." She said and took her shoes to the rack before going off somewhere.

I sat my shoes on the rack before going down to the basement where my nail office was.

I had one client today which she would be coming in about 45 minutes so I wanted to make sure it's clean down here and that I restocked my fridge with waters.

I grabbed my broom and began to sweep the floor just because ian want it to be dusty even though I know it's not.

My phone started ringing and I looked and seen it was Brandon.

"Aunusti." He said when I answered.

I put the phone to my ear and started sweeping again.

"Hmm?"

"Is it cool if I book a Florida trip with me and mora?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Ion know bout that na. She gone be a little too far." I said bending over to sweep the dust up.

"I figured you would say that. I was just thinking bout doing it, if you wanted to come too though that's fine. I want to take her out the state for a while and I thought Disneyland would be cool." He said and I chewed on the inside of me cheek.

"I mean how long were you planning on staying there?"

"Just a week." He answered and I hummed a 'oh' response.

"Yeah she can go, just let me know what hotel and everything please." I said.

"Alright, ima book the trip now for next month since it's gone be the start of summer break." He said.

"Okay, well I gotta go."

"Don't tell her I'm booking it I want it to be a surprise for a while."

"Okay bye." I said hanging up.

I went to the bathroom upstairs and across from my room and took a few pictures before posting on my story.

"Mama put some clothes on." Mora came pulling my shorts down.

"Girl boo you put some clothes on for I tell yo daddy you changed." I said looking at her in some shorts.

"It's not even that serious." She said walking away.

This a lil sneak peak of the new book I'm working on. I might change the name tbh, idk. I have a mini plot I feel like but I haven't worked it all out.

This book I want to be a little more different than my other ones, especially since this will be my first book that's not a fanfic I actually will take serious.
