Two days later

"Kairo where does Kyla go to school at? I wanna go pick her up." I said on FaceTime with Kai.

"She go to East, but you don't gotta pick her up ma. I'm gone bring her over there later." He said looking into the camera.

"No I want to cause I wanna take her to go get our lashes done. I already set up the appointment." I said locking my front door going to my car.

"Okay, you gone stay on the phone with me?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, where you going?" I said seeing he was in his car.

He set the camera up to where I can see him driving.

"I'm on the way to my homeboy house, ian been wit them in a few days so I'm going there. They havin a little get together later if you wanna come."

"Only if you can come get me, cause ion wanna get there and I be by myself tryna find you."

"If you drive I'll tell you to meet me somewhere, but I'll come get you. We just gotta drop Kyla off first."

"Well i was gone ask your mom if she can stay the night, cause she wanted me to cook for her and everything so I might as well. Does your mom think I'm weird for being friends with Kyla?" I asked driving towards the highway.

"Not really but I think it would help if she meets you before you ask for her to stay the night. Cause Kyla did meet you a week and a half ago."

"Time moving by slow, feel like I've known y'all for a month." I said with my face scrunched up.

"That's cause yo ass annoying."

"Whatever, but it's too soon for me to ask for her to stay the night. Cause I would feel a certain way if a 23 year old asked me if my 16 year old daughter can stay the night at their house. So Ian gone ask, but I definitely will try to meet your mom as soon as I can." I said and he nodded.

"I'm here you want me to hang up or stay on the phone?" He asked grabbing his phone.

"Stay on the phone, text Kyla for me and tell her I'll be there in a minute." I said and he said okay before putting me on pause.

"Whatchu cooking tonight anyways?"

"Just steak mash potatoes and green beans." I said shrugging.

It was a simple meal but fire as fuck.

"Aight make me some too." He said knocking on a door.

"I will duh can't forget bout my second bestie."

"Girl im your first the hell. Kyla is a minor." He said and somebody opened the door.

"Wassup Kj." Somebody with a dread bob dabbed him up.

"Wassup Tj." He said and I scrunched my face up at the camera.

Kj and Tj is corny.

I pulled out of the highway and drove down the street that Kyla's school was at.

Once I got to the main entrance I texted her and told her I was here and a few seconds later she got in the car.

"Hey auna." Kyla said waving with a smile.

"Hey pretty girl, you have fun?" I said and she nodded.

High school was always fun for me. I don't care.

(Y'all so in my city we have our own school named east high school which is where I go. It's so ghetto but so fun like you don't even understand.)

"That's my bubba?" She said and I nodded handing her my phone.

"Hey Kyla, just so you know now I will be dropping you off after the food done and shit." He said and she rolled her eyes.

"Ion like this, she my best friend by day and yours by night. Pause." She said and I busted out laughing.

"Okay conversation over. Bye kairo we'll see you in a little bit."

"Don't say bye." Both of them said and I eyed Kyla.

"My bad shit. See you later kairo." I said rewording my sentence.

"See y'all later." He said and I hung up.

"Girl so you and my brother hunchin or what?"

"No we friends, just like me and you bestie boo." I said and she smiled.

"Okay."

"Kyla help that girl get ready shit." Kairo said in an irritated tone.

"Ian even taking that long. Hush attitude." I said spraying perfume on me.

I took a picture in the mirror and posted it to my story.

"Okay it's giving bad bish period!" Kyla said hyping me up.

I stuck my tongue out and bent over.

"Yeah yeah come on." Kai said and we turned around and mugged him.

"Boy you need to fix that attitude it's not cute." Kyla said and I nodded.

"Shut up ain't nobody got an attitude."

"Don't tell her to shut up now bring y'all asses, since he wanna rush people I'm finna rush now. Let's go for we not go nowhere." I said and walked to the door.

"Yes mama A." Kyla said and I laughed opening the door and locking it behind us.

"Kairo when we get in this car don't go above 80 and you shouldn't even go that fast."

"Don't tell me how to drive my car. I gotchu." He said and I rolled my eyes.

It was worth a shot.

We got to Kyla house seven minutes later and she hopped out after saying see us later and everything.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked once she got out.

"Nothin." He said putting his hand on the middle console driving off when she got inside.

"Nothin." I mocked him and he rolled his eyes at me.

"I don't even sound like that hush up." He said and I smirked.

"Yes you do, now if I take my seatbelt off is you gone crash?" I asked and he shook his head no.

"Never with you in the car ma." He said and I forced myself to not smile and took my seatbelt off.

I only took it off cause it was hurting my stomach since I had on a tank top.

But I started taking pictures and shit cause why the hell not.

"Aunusti." He called my name making me look over at him.

"Yes." I said and he looked at me.

"Let me take you on a date." He said and my breath hitched.

"Okay, when." I said trying to keep my voice from shaking.

Bitch I'm nervous but excited oh we need to stop the car, let me text and tell Kyla oh shit what the fuck. What the fuck oh my god.

"Saturday night, we can go bowling or sum. That sound good?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah that's good, I can't bowl though." I said and he smiled.

"Me neither but don't tell nobody. Come on we here." He said and I looked around seeing we were at a empty ass block.

"You finna set me up." I said eyeing him.

"No girl we gotta walk to the block it's like two streets down. Ion want people seeing my car." He said getting out.

I got out too and he came to my side grabbing my hand.

"It's okay I'll protect you from the monsters." I said rubbing his hand.

"Stop playin." He said laughing and I laughed too.

"All this walking I gotta do and I'm wearing these heels mm mm mm just inconvenient." I said looking down at my shoes as we began to walk.

"It's a corner house so it won't be that far."

"I have never gotten drunk before." I admitted and he looked at me surprised.

"For real?"

"Yeah, I mean I have drinkin before but I never got drunk it would be like half a shot." I said and he nodded.

"Well, you wanna get drunk today?" He asked.

"Do you?" I asked and he nodded.

"Maybe."

"Can you drive while you're drunk? Cause if not then I can drive back and not drink."

"No ma I can do it." He said and I nodded as we approached the block where you could hear loud music and people were everywhere.

"Aww Kyla bear would've loved it. We should bring her next time."

"Are you crazy." He said looking at me. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Anyways chile shut up for you make me mad." I said waving him off.

"Come on." He said taking me into the house, he never let go of my hand so I just kept ahold of his walking where ever he wanted us to go.

"Aye kj, who dat?" The dread bob dude said as we approached him and a couple others.

"This is Aunusti, auna this is Tj, mar, Quan, and cam." He said and I waved at them not sure what he wanted me to do.

"Wassup." Cam said nodding his head at me.

"Hey best friend." Quan said and I scrunched my face up.

"You are not my friend the hell." I mumbled so they didn't hear me.

"Aht bitch she's my best friend not yours shut up." Kairo said and I nodded.

I got on my phone texting Brandon's number.

Amours dad.

Is mora sleep?

Has she had a shower?

"Sit right here." Kairo said as we walked to the couch.

I sat down and he sat next to me as they started lighting a few blunts up.

"Hm kj." Mar said handing him one.

"Preciate it." He said taking a long pull before handing it to me.

I passed it to quan who was next to me and was met with another blunt.

I looked to see everyone had a blunt in their hand and was passing each one around.

I'm finna be fucked.

We continued the rotation til the last one got put out then the little roaches from them got put in a bag and Tj kept them.

"Come on." Kairo said standing up grabbing my hand.

I carefully stood up and we walked into the kitchen where the counters were completely full with bottles.

"Try this." He said handing me a cup.

It was halfway filled and I drunk some instantly pulling it away from my mouth.

"Ahh that shit nasty." I said scrunching my face up.

"Drink it." Dusse, casa and Hennessy into another cup.

I drunk it slowly but finished it all and my body got chills.

"Can we go." I said crossing my legs.

Weed plus liquor equals ocean.

"What's wrong?" He said looking me in my eyes.

"I gotta use the restroom." I said clenching myself.

"Aight come on." He said and I followed him to the restroom.

"Thank you."

"You need me to wait for you? Ima be over there with them."

"No it's okay I'll be there soon." I said and he nodded and I closed the door.

I looked around sat on the counter with my pants pulled down and started rubbing myself.
