"Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" Wendy asked Carla. The cat simply purred against her hand.

"Right, you can't talk." Wendy huffed as she laid down in bed.

The dark sky didn't have any stars out on this night. Only the pale moon shined down on one side of the world, while the other is bathing in the light of the sun.

"I wonder what Natsu is doing." Wendy's eyes stared out into the night as she let her mind wander to all kinds of possibilities of what the boy was up to.

"Actually, I don't care what you choose." Mira abruptly interrupted Gray.

"What?" Gray was confused while Lucy just breathed a sigh of relief. She was safe another night.

Cana realized something and nearly choked on her "non-alcoholic" drink. "Holy shit!" She got up from the ground and ran to the door.

"I can't believe I let you leave them outside in this weather!!" She yanked the front door open and snatched the two by their arms, dragging them inside.

Natsu's lips were blue. His teeth were chattering as he shook violently. While Juvia's body was so stiff that she could only move her eyes and lips.

"Oh, I forgot they were out there." Mira laughed and brushed the problem off.

"We literally just- you know what, ok." Cana rolled her eyes.

Gray and Lucy looked at each other, and then back at the freezing pair that were unthawing right in front of their eyes.

"This night is getting weird." Lucy mumbled, and Gray nodded.

"Another town, another failed project." Said the dark haired boy.

The biting wind nipped at his cheeks and nose, as they were red and radiating heat.

Wispy white clouds left his mouth and faded into the sky.

Lights from Magnolia caught his eye, as a feeling of warmth and happiness enveloped him.

"But, I'm home now. There's got to be some hope for me." With those last words, he took off into the dark night.
