Thursday was the day the web site and the list came out. By lunch everyone was talking about it. Catherine's name wasn't on it, but it didn't have to be. Everyone would know. Everyone would be expecting some kind of payback from Piper.

Dion, from her science class, came right out and asked her if her stepsister trying to get everyone to sleep with Catherine's boyfriend. Quinn pushed the other girl's hand off her arm and told her she had no idea what she was talking about. Number one rule, the four of them only spoke about the game to each other. "Did you really just touch me?"

Quinn wasn't much of a fighter but that never stopped her from fighting when she needed to. She really hated people touching her unless they had her permission.

The bigger girl stepped back. "I was just wondering. The list seems pretty pathetic."

"Then it must not have anything to do with me. Or are you calling me pathetic?"

The girl backed down. Quinn usually didn't start any beef with anyone did but that didn't mean anyone would want to tangle with her. "No."

"Tell me, Dion, are you dating anyone?"

The other girl actually winced. "No."

"I'd keep it that way if I was you."

She'd just left class when she saw Noah coming her way and she cringed. She wasn't worried about him breaking up with her, but she'd rather not be in school when he did it. If he did it here and now, then she'd have to act pissed or something. Or did she have to?

Could she say whatever, and Piper not think she let him walk all over her? Shouldn't a girl care if you broke up with her?

He didn't notice her until he was almost on top of her. When he did notice her, he cringed too.

Is that why he was having a tough time breaking up with her? He was worried about what the retaliation would be?

He looked tired. He looked like he'd stayed drunk the whole weekend.

If he was with another girl, she didn't know why he'd be worried about it since she'd never told him he couldn't be with anyone else.

Whatever the reason, he was nervous about seeing her and he looked around them.

Whatever was up, she wasn't going to make it easy on him. Dating him pleased her father so that pleased Piper. Quinn sighed. So that probably meant she'd need to throw a fit and act upset. Damn, she didn't want to waste all that energy.

"Hey." He spoke.

Now that his eyes were on her, they stayed on her. It was always like that with him. That was one of the perks of them breaking up. She hated how he studied her.

"You wanted to talk?" She asked and didn't bother smiling.

He was still studying her.

"Noah?" She said to catch his attention and get his eyes off her.

He ran his hand through his super blond, wavy hair. "Not really. You coming over after the game Friday?"

Lost opportunity.

"Sure. That's my job, right. Reward you on a great game?"

His eyes narrowed and his back stiffened. He was still freaking studying her.

"Do you require some encouragement before then?" She was pissed. Why didn't he break up with her already?

His voice had bite to it now. "Who has ever passed up in ecomanagement?"

"Would you like it now or after school?" She asked as she tried to pull off an innocent look.

It was hard to ever get an emotion out of him and now that she had, she was hoping he would choose now. She could do now.

The fight left him. "I have a test. Come by later if you want." He went around her and disappeared down the next hallway.

He always made things more complicated than they needed to be. Everyone did. It was easier to not give a damn.
