part two: i leave with love | ninjago series

This is a sequel of a sort to We Will Meet Again, the one-shot I did about Misako taking Lloyd to Darkley's. I realized I left some plot holes and things that didn't make sense so I decided to make another story to explain them.

Like: How did Garmadon know that Lloyd was the green ninja in the Story when he hadn't in the series?

So I shall answer the questions no one asked!

Warning: There is violence. Cause we can't have an awesome angsty scene without it!

Something dark reached out, the cool misty fingers slowly winding around his neck. The young man's eyes widened and his hand automatically rose to try and pry the icy limbs off of him. Red eyes blinked slowly, head tilting to the side as it leered at him.

It slowly began to talk, the tone gentle but with each word its fingers dig deeper into the soft skin on his neck. Their language was soft and slithery as if it was trying to smooth him.

You're safe.

You're safe.

You're safe.

No! His heart pounded in his ears, panic rising as he wheezed, his attempt to break free even more frantic.

You're safe. The creature repeated. Its dark lips turning upwards into a smile.

I'm not safe!

It's okay. It cooed. He felt his kind begin to fog, the words washing over him like a wave. He fought against it, kicking and trying to scream.

No, it's not!

Little green ninja, you are so tired. It tsked in his mind, leaning forward so its breath brushed against his ear.

Lloyd tried to swallow, shaking his head adamantly.

Get out of my head! He hissed.

The weight of the world on your shoulders. You have no idea the horrors your existence unleashed on the world.

The demon lessened his grip as Lloyd fixed his terrified eyes on him. The creature studied him for a moment, its hand moving from his neck up to his chin. Lloyd shivered as they wound their fingers around his jaw and tilted it to the side. Its red eyes gleamed, boring into him and Lloyd yelped as a sharp pain spurred in the back of his head.

Hm... you do not remember. It sighed but it did not appear surprised.

Lloyd's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?" He spoke out loud. His voice was gravelly from the pressure that had been on his windpipe.

The demon almost looked sympathetic as it spoke through his mind. It's soft whisper preying on his doubt. Pity. I am sure your mother would love to tell you all about it.

"My mother?" Lloyd gasped, staggering back. His mental wall faltering for a moment.

That was all it needed. It stood taller, leering over him and opening its mouth to hiss in its cursed language. Red mist began to move around him, cold fear ran through his veins as it seemed to drag out the energy in his limbs. Panic constricted his lungs and the faceless creature moved closer to open its mouth, revealing long pointed fangs.

It drew in a long breath and the red mist tightened around him. Lloyd's eyes grew wide and he struggled to breathe. He could feel it slowly stripping away his elemental power. It was painful, tearing through his body like it was were preying on his soul. Lloyd's mouth opened into a soundless scream as the power inside of him began to fight back. His eyes glowed green, the emerald colour lighting up his veins but the demon only growled warningly, the red mist threatening to cut off his air supply.

No, no, no, no!

His grip was slipping, mind sliding into chaos like it was shattering, the pieces flickering and tearing away as if a tornado had torn through.

Yes!

The demon cackled, letting out a loud lyrical call as the green magic slowly began to creep in a silhouette around his body, the red mist latching onto it like vampires to blood.

"NO!"

The demon screeched in fury as it was knocked aside, breaking its connection with the dark magic. Lloyd crumbled to the ground as the mist flew away, gasping and clawing at his throat. The green power inching up his neck as it tried to recover.

He looked up to see his mother standing there, face determined as she pointed Lloyd's fallen katana at the enemy.

"You will not take him," Misako growled menacingly, stalking forward like a cat, her expression dangerous.

There was a cackle as the demon talked in its soft language, patronizing her before it spoke through her mind.

You can never keep us at bay for long, mother-guardian. We have only grown stronger from when we last saw you. The boy is mine!

The once lulling tone ripped into a loud roar as it swiped out a long clawed hand, red eyes gleaming like rubies. Misako rolled out of the way, her hair flying from its braid as she grabbed something underneath her collar and ripped it from her neck, breaking the chain. She raised the ancient artifact for the shadowed monster to see.

Its lips curved into a snarl once it recognized the object. How dare you!

"I've spent years researching you, I scrounged the globe for just a shred of information. All I found was this..." Misako toyed with it in her fingers. "It's quite special isn't it?"

You do not know what you are playing with mortal! The aggression grew in its stance, the shadows over its head moving faster but the creature noticeably stepped back when she directed the object to it.

"Mom!" Lloyd groaned, struggling to get up. His legs gave away and he had to steady himself with his arms.

We are inevitable! Your little jewel can only do so much! A red glow circled the demon, the whispered dancing like fire.

"I have faith," Misako whispered.

A loud cry echoed over them. The demon perked up, turning its head towards the noise. A slow smirk made its way across its face.

It appears your time has run out. It sang, a gleam in its eye. That trinket of yours can only cover so much ground. Unfortunately, my friends have come. You can only protect ONE.

"That's not true." Misako's grip tightened on the artifact. "Do not lie to me, devil."

Really? I am simply warning you, my dear. The demon purred and directed its attention to Lloyd. The green ninja glared back but weariness pulled his limbs to the ground.

Amusement glimmered in its expression. An odd thing to see on such a terrifying monster. Your little one won't last long, Mother-Guardian. You will have to make a choice. Make it quick or delay it a little bit more.

Misako hesitated a moment, her eyes glancing to Lloyd. He pushed himself off the ground but his figure wavered, the green light surrounding him flickering like a broken lightbulb.

The smaller creatures restraining the rest do the ninja dropped them. The team staggering and collapsing as the paralysis set in. The dark demons skittered across the area to stand by their leader's side as the screams of even greater monsters reached their ears. Misako stared in shock at the huge shadow rising over the hill.

The scarlet magic rose and swelled around the demon as it turned to look at its followers coming to join them. Misako took that moment to run to her son, gently trying to get him to his feet so she could pull him close.

"Mom!" Lloyd fumbled with the embrace. "What's going on? You knew them! You knew them and you didn't say anything?"

"I know, I'm so sorry, baby." Misako breathed, closing her eyes to enjoy the hug. She pulled away, her eyes watering as she pressed the amulet into his chest.

"What are you doing?" Lloyd's eyes were panicked and she started to pull away. His fingers caught the object.

"I'm doing what every mother should," She raised a hand to cup his face, gently brushing her thumb over her cheek. "Protect their child."

Misako began to step back but Lloyd grabbed her forearms, the grip was weak and feeble but he held on nonetheless.

"No." He shook his head adamantly. "You can't. You don't get to- to walk away and say it was for my own good again!"

Misako blinked, her smile sad as she gently took her hands from his grasp. She kissed him gently on the forehead.

"Go to Neuro." She told him as she began to move out of his reach. "Don't lose faith, my darling."

"Mom- no. No STOP! Please wait!" Lloyd frantically tried to reach her but the green aura around him stuttered again. It flashed red causing him to gasp in pain as he tripped and fell on his knees.

Misako squeezed her eyes shut, the tip of the tainted golden katana dragged through the earth as she approached the shadow demons. Her head held high as she raised the blade.

The demon grinned devilishly, its tongue ran along its fangs as it called out a loud scream. Its followers chorused the sound, like a choir of sirens. The red mist turned vibrant, swirling around them like a tornado as they fixed their ruby eyes on the woman before them.

And struck.

author's note*****

Well, I guess I'm making a part three now! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Because I still haven't fixed the plot hole. I'm just getting my needle and thread ready to stitch it all up!

I researched mythology from Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cultures but I was just too tired to continue unfortunately. I put the books down and just let my fingers fly! The shadow demons were completely from my own imagination.

Anyways, I really hope you liked it! It had a little more action than I usually do so it was fun to get all into that!

I hope you enjoyed! I'll try and get part three out soon!
