Emerald was also Animus touched. Her mother was a Rainwing who loved gems and jewels and almost every scales on her body was bejeweled with gems. So when she had an egg she put a huge emerald on it. At night when when Emeralds mother was sleeping, an evil Animus named EverStorm flew in. He punished the mother for her vain nature and for caring more about her jewels than her own child. So he cursed the egg. Emerald was born with no venom. Instead she was able to summon jewels and gems from anywhere. But there was a price. If any dragon were to put one of her summoned gems in as a necklace the effects would vary. If they wore rubies they would burn. If they wore sapphires they would be cut off from their oxygen supply. Different gems and metals caused different effects. When her mother found out about this. She used Emerald every minute of the day of summon more and more gems. She was going to make a necklace of all the gems in the world using her gems. Soon she was burned struck by lightning, and drowned. Emeralds mother died and Emerald was left an orphan she had no one until she found Sunset at Jade Mountain Academy. That was where she found FrostFire,Moonstone,and Opal too.
