Eight Days A Week📆
"Where are we going?"
Me and Ringo walked hand in hand down a sidewalk that seemed to be leading to no particular place.
"Somewhere."
He smiled and draped his arm over my shoulders.
"That doesn't tell me anything."
I giggled.
"Okay fine, somewhere that you haven't ever been to."
"Yeah, nope. That still doesn't help."
Ringo gave me a smirk.
"Elise, love please bare with me."
I giggled giving him a playful shove.
"Okay, okay I'm sorry.
I know wherever you take me is going to be wonderful.
I'm just giving you a hard time."
Ringo put his arm back where it lay, and I wrapped my arm around his waist.
We walked a bit further till we came to a big building that had a sign that read "EMI studios."
"What are we doing at the recording studio?"
Ringo went forward and opened the door for me.
"You'll see, come on."
I pursed my lips together afraid of what lie ahead down the corridor.
We walked to the end of the hallway arriving at a studio door with a sign that read "Beatles."
Ringo turned to me taking my hands.
"You're shaking."
I nodded solemnly.
"I know."
"Why?"
I let go of Ringo's hands letting mine fall to my side with a sigh.
"Why do you think."
"Ellie, its not like that love."
I turned away rubbing my arm, and biting the bottom of my lip.
"Dont you trust me?"
I sighed shakily picking anxiously at my nails.
"Elise."
Ringo took my chin in his fingertips turning my head.
"Look me in the eye and tell me you trust me.
I know you do.
I just have to hear the words from you."
There was a silence between us.
"Please."
I fought back tears as I breathed to speak.
Ringo studied my face, waiting.
"I trust you, Ritchie.
More than anyone in this world.
But, if you are doing what I think you're doing then-"
Ringo put a finger to my lips hushing me.
"Then you won't think that.
If you trust me, you won't think that.
Okay?"
I nodded slowly laying my hands on his cheeks.
"Okay."
Ringo suddenly crushed his lips into mine.
I giggled as he wrapped his arms around me.
I felt my feet lift off the ground and we continued to kiss my body lifted above Ringo's.
"Thank you."
Our noses touched and he still held me off the ground.
"For what?"
I played with the collar of his shirt absentmindedly.
"For trusting me."
I kissed his forehead a smile spreading as my lips touched his soft skin.
"I will always trust you.
As long as you don't break our trust."
Ringo set me down opening the studio door.
"I never will."
I took a breath as I stepped into the studio.
I heard the sound of my own gasp echo across the room, I couldnt believe what lay in front of my eyes.
"John!"
I ran towards him jumping into a warm hug.
He laughed as he spun me around hugging me tight.
George, Paul, and Ringo all watched with huge smiles lining their faces.
"I'm so glad you're back!
Ive missed you Johnny."
John hugged me tighter.
"Its good to be back, I've missed you too doll."
He set me down and I turned to Ringo.
I ran embracing him in a tight hug.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.
He laid his head in the crook of my neck gently rubbing the small of my back.
"You did it babe, you forgave him.
I'm so happy for you.
You're friends again."
Ringo sighed squeezing me tighter.
"I had too.
I was being stupid and a stubborn, stuck up jerk.
All that time I thought letting John be near you would only create a chance for him to say something and wound you more.
But one thing I didnt realize was that by forgiving, those wounds heal.
And you had forgiven him.
The wound healed."
Ringo was now holding my face in his hands.
"Words, hurt and make wounds.
But actions make scars.
I was making a scar on you by my action.
It was putting stress on you."
Ringo's eyes became glossy.
"I was being so ignorant and stupid that I didnt know I was leaving a scar on my baby girl."
Ringo rubbed my arms and massaged them with his thumbs on every up and down motion.
A tear rolled down his face and he hung his head.
"You don't deserve that.
You don't need someone who-"
I shook my head covering his mouth with my hand.
"Shhh, shh, no, no.
Ritchie promise me this, look at me and promise me this."
I picked his head up forcing his eyes to meet mine.
"We will always work things out.
No matter what.
No more she doesn't deserve me because of this, or he doesn't deserve me because of that.
We will love each other and be as one, as a team, forever."
Ringo nodded his head pulling me in a forceful hug.
"I promise Elise, I promise."
He rubbed the top of my head, and I lay my head on his chest.
I felt a soft hand placed on my shoulder.
I unlocked from Ringo's tight embrace to see George with his arms spread wide.
"Come here Ell."
I sniffed hugging George's neck.
"Hey, Georgie."
He chuckled and whispered in my ear.
"What did I tell you.
Let him protect you.
And did everything work out?"
I laughed and nodded my head.
"Yes, exactly how I wanted it too."
"See, little quite Beatle might not talk much but, I'm not dumb.
I smiled giving him one last hug.
I turned around to Ringo and grabbed his hand.
He walked up to me and slid his free arm around my waist.
I giggled as I let go of his hand and placed it on his shoulder.
"May I have this dance my lovely?"
I giggled.
"Well, it seems the way we are standing I have already excepted..... "
I let my smile fade away as I looked down at our feet.
What am I thinking?
I can't dance.
"What's the matter love?"
I shook my head, looking down to hide my blush of embarrassment.
"I don't know how."
Ringo held me closer, holding my waist tighter.
"I'll teach you.
Its not so hard.
Please, dance with me?"
I looked up and his eyes were filled with hope.
He really wanted me to.
"Okay, I- I'll try."
Ringo smiled tickling my back with his fingertips.
"Listen, just keep your eyes on mine.
Okay?"
I nodded.
"Okay, I trust you."
Ringo grinned as the lads began to play.
I kept my gaze on Ritchie never looking away.
My feet moved in time with his and soon we were dancing perfectly in time.
I laid my head on Ringo's chest as we swayed back and forth listening to John's voice echo through the studio.
I once had a girl
Or should I say, she once had me.
She, showed me her room isn't it good, Norwegian wood?
"Ringo?"
Ringo looked down at me and brushed his fingers through my hair.
"Yes, Elise?"
I looked up and we stopped dancing.
The music kept going as the lads sang on minding there business.
"I really do love you.
I just want you to know that."
Ringo held my hands in his.
He looked down as he grazed his thumbs across the top of my hands.
"Oh Ellie, I know that sweetheart."
He played with my fingers, and his floppy hair hung down in his eyes.
"I know that."
This time when he said it, it came out in a hushed whisper.
"Darling, I love you like no other man has, or ever will.
You're perfection in my eyes.
The only word that I can find to describe you is....
Love.
That's what you are to me love.
And sweet, you are gorgeous.
Just....... "
Ringo sighed shakily as he touched my face with his fingertips.
"Gorgeous."

That night.........
I sat on the side of the bed brushing my hair.
Ringo lay in bed reading the newspaper.
I threw the brush in my nightstand drawer and got in bed snuggling up to Ringo's warm body.
I laid my head on his bare chest and waited for him to get through reading.
After a moment he folded up the newspaper and sat it on his nightstand.
He looked down at me and rolled his eyes playfully.
"What do you want?"
I gigged as I sat up and reached over to the nightstand picking up "Romeo and Juliet."
"I want you to read to me, because it seems like ages since you have.
And then I want you to do something you've never done for me before."
Ringo flicked through the pages and nodded.
"What ever you want my love."
I clapped in excitement.
"Yay! Because I want you to sing a whole song to me."
Ringo snapped his head up at me.
"Oh Ell, I don't think thats a good idea."
"Ritchie why not I'm sure you have a wonderful voice."
He huffed.
"If you like deep, out of key, and nervous, then I will sing away."
"Oh Ritchie-"
"Ellie, listen sweet, if your expecting Paul McCartney or even John for that matter forget it.
I can't sing."
Grabbed the book from his hands and shut it, making a loud smack echo through the room.
"Hey-"
I then took Ringo's hands and held them in mine.
"I dont want to hear Paul, John, or George's voice.
I want to hear Ritchard Starkey.
My Ritchie's voice.
I want you.
And I know you can sing, so please.......
For me?"
Ringo sighed.
"Ellie..... "
"Please."
I nodded letting him know I was serious.
"Okay, okay I'll sing."
I smiled as he sat up and I lay my head on his shoulder, waiting.
Suddenly he leaned over and brought something out from under the bed.
It was a guitar.
He took a minute to tune it and then began to play.
He played soft and slow as he sang along with it.
"You come on like a dream
Peaches, and cream
Lips like strawberry wine
You're sixteen you're beautiful and you're mine.
You're all ribbons and curls
Ooh, what a girl
Eyes that sparkle and shine
You're sixteen you're beautiful and you're mine
My heart melted as he sang.
There was nothing that could describe what I felt except..... Love.
You're my baby
You're my pet
We fell in love on the night we met
You touched my hand
My heart went pop
Ooh, and when we kissed I could not stop
You walked out of my dreams
Into my arms, now you're my angel divine
You're sixteen you're beautiful and you're mine
Ringo played his heart out and sang on.
Once the song finished he put his guitar away and turned to me.
"I love your voice Ritchie.
Its amazing.
And that song........
Did you write it?"
He nodded sheepishly.
I felt tears in my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Its beautiful."
Ringo hugged me tight.
As we parted he turned off the lights and we both lay down.
Just as I was about to fall asleep I felt Ringo hovering over me.
I turned over on my back to find Ringo looking down at me.
"What is it Ritchie?"
He didnt answer.
"What is it?"
Ringo smiled grazing his knuckles slowly up and down my cheek.
I smiled knowing what it was now.
"Babe, if you wanted a kiss why didn't you just say so?"
He chuckled as he leaned in and our lips met.
His full lips caressed mine tenderly.
I ran my hands through his hair as we kissed.
He parted for a minute.
My eyes fluttered open and watched him as he lay back down beside me.
I turned facing him and laid my head on his chest.
I kissed a little below his cheek my lips landing on his jaw.
"I love you."
"I love you too sweetheart."
I smiled as my eyes lids began to get heavy and soon fell.
