Kris' Pov

"Where... Exactly... Are we?" Susie asked. I looked around and realized that we were no longer in the supply closet.

"I... I don't know. Well, we should probably look around-" I paused. Susie was no longer beside me. I sighed.

Guess she started without me...

I sighed and began trudging along behind her.

-[time skip cuz your nonbinary fren is lazy]-

Susie and I headed up towards the looming castle before us. It was dark, but also empty, and we didn't appear to be in any immediate danger.

I knocked on the door and was both surprised and unsurprised to see it fling open without hesitation. We cautiously stepped inside and were met with a hooded figure who looked like the kind of person who would give out free boat rides or something.

"Greetings, Lighteners," The figure began. "Listen to my tale?"

The hooded figure began telling us of a story about a human, a monster, and a prince from the Dark Realm. He then removed his cloak.

"I am Ralsei, Prince of the Dark Realm. I strongly believe that you are the heroes depicted in the prophecy-" Susie cut him off.

"Okay, that's nice, but how do we get home?"

"O-oh, uh..." Ralsei didn't get to finish due to a young child bursting into the room.
"Hehehehehe!"

-[another time skip]-

We stood before the three headed monster (wait, is she a monster? Are creatures from the dark realm monsters?), only mildly frightened. Even knowing exactly how to deal with her, three heads would be intimidating to anyone.
"Hey, happy birthday, Clover!" I smiled. She gasped.

"How did you know?!" She was very happy.

"So what's your ideal guy?" I asked her, knowing the exact three topics I needed to bring up: boys, sports, and trees.

"Ooh, I like the bad boys~!" one of the heads said.

"Well I like the shy ones. So cute and innocent!" another called.

"What about you?" the final head asked, pointing at Susie.

And for some reason, I was very interested.
