Thirteenth (Part 3)
(Cetra’s POV: )
The TARDIS jolted and shook after finally being set off to her journey. The Doctor and I grinned and gripped anything we could as she swayed back and forth wildly. The TARDIS gonged, signalling our landing and we found their footing again.
“Okay, just need to expand the air field...” He mumbled, pressing buttons. When he finally deemed the time ready, he took my hand and led me to the doors, opening them up for me and sweeping his arm out. I looked out at the surface, not impressed at all. I walked out nonetheless and held my breath as I did. The Doctor chuckled and breathed in and out dramatically in front of me. I smiled, rolled my eyes and let out my breath, cautiously taking another and another.
“When...?” I asked, trailing off and pointing at the sky. The Doctor looked at a nonexistent watch on his wrist and back up at the sky.
“I’d say about two point sixty-four minutes.” He answered confidently.
“You think you’re so hot when you do that.” I said sarcastically. He playfully glared at me and grabbed my shoulders, moving me over to a different spot. He looked at my face, the sky, moved me, and repeated several times before he was finally happy. I chuckled as he stood next to me. I took his hand leaned on his shoulder, waiting for the storm.
“Thirty seconds.” He said suddenly. I eagerly picked my head back up as my eyes scanned the clouds. “Five, four... two... Now.” He counted. I didn’t see anything for a few seconds, but then something floated slowly down in front of my face. I looked at it closely as it slowly fell. It was a drop of liquid. Another fell, and another then. I got a red umbrella out of my bag and held it over the Doctor and I as the rain... or whatever you would call it, fell harder. More often I guess would be the correct way to say it. I couldn’t really describe what I was seeing but I sure as love was gonna try.
The liquid fell in small, slow drops. It looked like they were floating down. I stuck my hand out for one of the drops to land on it. It landed and broke on my hand, making it wet as I would expect. It was hard to think that it was liquid methane. I stuck one finger out and poked one. It just broke into smaller bits and kept falling, some of them going a little wider out and hitting more drops. I cautiously stepped out and felt some land on my head. I giggled and waved my hand in front of me, hitting the drops and making them split up again. I looked back to the Doctor and he just smiled contentedly at me. I giggled again and then waved my whole arm wildly, making drops go in every direction. Some drops got bigger, but most just got smaller.
“Look!” The Doctor said suddenly. Some clouds broke while it was still falling and light from Jupiter shone through, illuminating the drops and everything else. I gasped at the sight happily and the Doctor came back up to me, still holding the umbrella, and wrapped an arm around my waist. I quickly smiled up at him and then turned my eyes back to the amazing sight.
