~Chapter 7~

Sans was wandering through the forest, a blizzard swirling around him. He called out his brother's name, desperate to find him in the blinding flurry of snowfall.
One minute, he'd been right by his side. The next... he was gone.
The smaller skeleton stopped dead in his tracks as he heard a cry of pain, toned down by the deafening roar of the wind, yet still clearly audible.
"Papyrus!" Sans shouted, running towards the source of the voice.
He was moving so frantically that he practically ran right into the taller skeleton, catching him off-guard. "P-Papyrus...?"
His brother was shuddering violently, tightly clutching his arms with both hands while muttering something under his breath.
"Bro...?"
Papyrus's head snapped up, and Sans couldn't help but flinch. The terrorized gleam in his brother's eyes... it wasn't right.
He didn't have time to ponder it before Papyrus began to speak, his voice uncharacteristically deep and raspy in tone, edged with an animalistic growl.
"It's too late to save me, Sans..."
Sans's eyes went wide as he realized that Papyrus's skull was rapidly changing into something completely unrecognizable. His teeth grew sharper, his nose and mouth distended into a muzzle, a number of twisted horns erupted from the back of his head, and his face completely split from his nasal cavity to his forehead.
"SSAVE YOURRSSELFF... BEFORRE YOU BECOME ANOTHHERR VICTIM OF THHISS DISSEASSE..."

And, just as the beast lunged toward him, Sans jolted awake, not realizing that he'd screamed until Sora all but jumped off the couch.
"S-Sans...?" Sora squeaked, her ears flicking back and her eyes turning dark blue with concern.
The skeleton was unresponsive, still not completely in the present world. He was shuddering violently, and his left eye was blazing with ice-blue flames.
"Sans! It okay! There nothing to worry about!" Sora insisted, putting her paws on his shoulders and shaking him, trying to get him to snap out of it.
After a few moments, he managed to escape the grip of the night terror. Gradually, the flames faded from his eye, and he stopped shivering.
Sora hugged the skeleton, comforting him. "What wrong?"
Sans sighed. "Nothin'. Just had a bad dream." He stared off into the distance, his expression blank.
"Need to talk about it?" Sora offered, her ears perking up to face him.
Sans hesitated. "Well... I was wandering around in the woods with Pap... y'know, checking his puzzles, looking for humans... the usual. But then, we somehow got caught in a blizzard? And then I couldn't find my bro anywhere, until I finally ran into him... But something was wrong..."
Sora chirped softly, tilting her head to the side. Sans shook his head, exhaling slowly. "I shouldn't be so worried about it... It's not like I'm gonna find myself in that situation. I'm not leaving the house. Not until this thing clears up."
The dragon sighed. "Sora feel like Sans being too cautious. No beasts been seen near Snowdin. Sans not need to go on lockdown just yet."
The skeleton's eye sockets went blank. "You can't be too cautious with this stuff, Sora. I'm just eliminating any risk of exposure. Ya can't be at risk if ya never come into contact with anything."
"Yeah, yeah... But it still seem over the top..." Sora shrugged.
"Trust me. You'll be thanking me when we're among the only normal monsters."

**CURSE WARNING AHEAD**

"S-Son of a bitch! Th-This foking hurts!"
"I-I know it does... It hurts me t-too... But we g-gotta get through this..."
Huddled together, behind the locked doors of the house shared by all the Hell's Angels band members, were two canine monsters, one was a dingo with ginger-orange fur and a dark red mohawk, and the other was a wolf with a combination of tan, brown, and white as her coat colors.
Staring down at them was a massive, yet sleek-looking fox creature, with pale gray and black fur, and a tuft of bright blue hair on top of his head. His two fluffy tails swayed calmly behind him as he simply stood back and observed all that was going on.
The dingo turned to glare at the beast, his fiery-colored eyes narrowing as his lips curled back into a snarl. "Jake... Y-You foking bastard... I'm gonna k-kick your ass at the end of th-this..."
He tried to get up, but the wolf held him back. "Asher... Don't... J-Just let him go..."
Asher opened his mouth to respond, but the only sound that came out was a yelp as pain tore through him, causing him to lurch forward into the tan wolf's embrace. She merely winced as she felt a similar pain herself.
   "C-Crystel... I-I can't..."
"You c-can. We both c-can," Crystel replied, hugging Asher tighter and fighting back the tears that were threatening to spill from her greenish-teal colored eyes.
Asher shuddered, taking his paws off of the wolf's shoulders to claw at his own arms, which were already covered in old, self-inflicted scars.
Crystel buried her muzzle into the dingo's neck, trying to distract herself from the horrible pain that seared through her body. "W-We're gonna get through this..."
"I-I don't want this to h-happen... I-I just wanna stay my regular ass-kickin' s-self!" Asher murmured, before suddenly crying out in anguish as spikes ripped through his flesh, staining his ginger pelt red with his own blood.
"I-It'll all be okay..." Crystel's voice broke slightly as she felt a jolt of pain down her back, but she was largely able to ignore it.
Asher squeezed his eyes shut, his grip on his forearms tightening as he curled in on himself. "I-I just wanna s-stay normal! I-I don't wanna turn into a b-beast!"
"Hey." Crystel pulled away from him, putting her paws firmly on his shoulders, careful to avoid the spikes that had just emerged there, and shaking him, forcing him to look her in the eyes. "Just f-focus on me. Ignore e-everything else."
Asher opened his right eye, his expression pained. "I-It foking hurts..."
"I-I know... Just s-stay with me..." Crystel suddenly cried out in agony as she felt spikes tear through her own flesh, specifically on the backs of her paws, her hips, her hocks, and at the base of her ears.
She took a moment to catch her breath before continuing. "I-It's all gonna be f-fine... We h-have each other... W-We don't have to go through th-this alone..."
Asher opened both eyes, his fiery gaze locking with hers. "I-I almost wish I was alone..."
Crystel tilted her head, wincing slightly as a weird itching sensation began along the back of her neck and along her spine. She was completely unaware that quills had begun to poke out from underneath her dark-brown neck fur. "Wh-Why...?"
Asher managed a weak smile. "B-Because seeing you in as much p-pain as I'm in b-breaks my heart, mate."
The wolf was at a loss for words. She felt a mix of emotions all at once; heartbreak, comfort, happiness... she couldn't decide on just one feeling.
"Asher..." Her voice trailed off into unintelligible growling as the disease finally took full control over her, right at the same moment that Asher lost it as well.
The massive fox creature merely stood watching in silence as the two canid monsters gradually became more like himself; huge beasts without a thread of self-control, only having one purpose...
Track down the weaklings... And pass the infection on to them.

Sans stared blankly down at his phone, trying to focus on something other than his night terror as Sora made breakfast.
God... Why did that scare me so much? Papyrus is safe. He's up in his room. There's nothing to be worried about.
He glanced up at his brother's room, amazed that he was sleeping in as late as he was.
10:00... damn. He never sleeps in that late. Must be exhausted if he's sleeping so much.
He chuckled. He didn't think he'd ever see the day that his brother would become a sleepy head.
"Breakfast is ready in five minutes," Sora chirped from the kitchen, just as the sweet scent of french toast reached Sans. "Is Papyrus up yet?"
"No. But I'll go wake him up," Sans replied, setting his phone down on the couch cushion next to him and getting up, just before he snapped his fingers and teleported upstairs.
"Pap? You up yet?" He knocked lightly on the door, expecting his brother to respond almost immediately.
But, much to his surprise, there was nothing but silence on the other side.
"...Papyrus?" He knocked again, slightly louder this time.
When he still didn't get a response, he began to panic. "Papyrus! This isn't funny! If you're in there, answer the door!" He pounded frantically on the door, a faint ring of blue becoming visible around his left pupil.
...BUT NOBODY CAME...
The dark echo of the voice he hadn't heard in quite some time caught him off-guard, causing him to flinch.
It was enough reason to go in uninvited.
Sans twisted the doorknob and threw open the door, looking around the darkened room, his only light source coming from his blazing left eye.
He was pretty sure he felt his soul stop beating for a brief moment when he realized that Papyrus was nowhere to be found. "Son of a bitch... He's gone..."

   BOOM! More OCs! XD
I will add pics of all the beast forms of the characters mentioned in this chapter (eventually). I gotta redraw Asher, design Jake's form, and either redraw Crystel's myself, or let my friend draw it, if she wants. :P
Asher and Jake belong to me, and Crystel belongs to my good friend, CrystelTheWolf .
Hope y'all enjoyed this chapter! And, until the next update, stay determined! :3
