"He is just so stubborn and I don't know what to do with him anymore" he King opened up to his queen as they settled in the throne room.

"He can't take position as King without a Queen. It has never happened before" the King continued.

"Calm down my King. You have to understand how he feels. He lost his mate before he could even touch him. It left a deep scare that not just anyone would be able to heal it. This is why he refuses to accept another" his wife explained.

She knew Chanyeol needed a bride but she also understood that he was hurting.

Chanyeol looked strong and put together but she once saw him break in grandmothers arms.

He was greatly grieved by the loss of his mate and she believed there was no need to force him. He would move on when he was ready.

Chanyeol was strong and wise enough to lead on his own for now. He didn't need a forced union.

Too bad her husband did not feel the same way. 

"He needs to be married to receive the throne weather hthat kes it or not. It even looks like he scared off Sandara because we have not seen her for days" the King went on.

"Chanyeol can easily take the throne if he wanted. Don't force his hand with your stubbornness" the queen said. She was tired of having the same argument over and over again.

"You do not speak to me that way. I am your King and you will do as I say. I am his father and he will follow my order" he said in anger hating the fact that his son was more powerful and had more authority than him.

"You do not demand respect but earn it my dear son" the King and Queen both turned to see his mother had entered the throne room.

"You will treat your queen with respect even when she points out your flaws and you cannot use your authority to force your son to do what you want and not what he desires" she continued.

"Mother. What an honour for  you to  grace us with your presence"  the King said ignoring what she had just said.

"Its good to see you mother"  the Queen said after rolling her eyes at her husbands behaviour before smiling at her mother in law.

"Its good to see you too my daughter. I can see my so; hasn't changed a bit" the woman said and they shared a knowing smile.

"Why are you here mother?" The King said as if bored.

Him and his mother did not get along very well considering they never agreed on the way in which he raised his own children.

Even on some state decisions.

"I have come to inform you that there is no need for you to force mate my grandson" she said.

"But..."

"Shhhhh...I'm not done talking young man. Don't worry because the young prince has marked his future queen" his mother said before moving aside to make way for Chanyeol.

He had someone by his side dressed in a long purple and gold robe with a hood which covered the head and face of the person.

Chanyeol walked up before he bowed in front of his parents. The stranger by his side doing the same.

"What is the meaning of this?" The King lashed out wondering why Chanyeol had picked a random stranger instead of mating with Sandara. This would ruin the plans and benefits he had planned that came with the mating.

Yes he had made a deal with someone for his own benefit. This is why he was forcing Chanyeol to mate her.

Kai and Sehun both had mates so they did not qualify. But since Chanyeol had lost his mate he was the perfect candidate.

Also the King was not ready to give all power to Chanyeol and give up his throne.

"Father. Mother. I would like you to meet my mate and queen" Chanyeol said as he stood behind the stranger and gently pulled down the hood revealing a porcelain beauty with the most captivating purple eyes.

"I thought I had lost him but Baekhyun came back to me" Chanyeol said with happiness and pride in his eyes which made his mother almost cry because she had never seen him so happy in years.

The Queen shocked everyone by jumping off her seat and running to the pair before giving Baekhyun a bone crushing hug.

"I'm so glad you're still alive. We thought we had lost you forever" she said as she cried. She recognized him the second she saw his unique purple eyes.

"You know me?" Baekhyun whispered his question but she heard him loud and clear.

"Of course. You were very young but I visited and played with you everyday" she said before letting go and taking a closer look at him.

"Just as I thought you turned out to be the fairest of this land. You're so beautiful. My son is a very lucky man" the Queen said.

The King was too shocked to say anything but gave Chanyeol a nod before leaving the room.

The King was going through a lot of different emotions at that moment.

Should he be happy Chanyeol's mate is still alive or be angry his planned had been ruined.

He went straight to his chamber where the first thing he did was drink a glass of whisky to calm his nerves.

Why. Why. Why did this have to happen now?

Now there was no doubt Chanyeol would take his place as King 3 months from now.

"You said his mate was dead. All of a sudden that purple eyed freak is back. Explain yourself" the King lashed out as I figure came out of the shadows.

"He was supposed to be dead but there was a minor setback" the stranger said.  

"I only agreed to this deal because I was promised the throne. Now that won't be possible" the King said frustrated.

"We just have to change our approach but everything will still go as planned. All we need to do is kill the omega. Now that the prince has marked him he has also marked his own death" the stranger said with a devious smirk.
