Chapter 7
Once the group made it across the red sea, they were finally in Egypt. However, they still had to travel to the city DIO was residing in. "Alright, so I got a call from the Speedwagon Foundation. Apparently, we're getting a new ally!" Joseph stated. "Oh? And how will they find us?"
"I dunno, they just will. now we have to get a jeep or some over car so we can go to Cairo." The old man stated as he started walking. After the car was acquired, the crusaders started their journey to the country's capital.
Almost an hour passed, and there was no sign of anyone from the Speedwagon Foundation. "Uh, Monsieur Joestar, are you sure that this foundation was right?" Polnareff asked before the sound of a helicopter could be heard approaching them.
"They've been aiding Joestar line since my granddad met Speedwagon himself back in the 1800s, since getting rich, the guy uses his cash whenever we have a situation." Joseph assured them. "And it looks like they managed to convince him to come along."
The chopper landed just a few feet from their ride, in the back was a tiny figure covered up by a blanket. "I hope he wasn't too much trouble for you." Avdol remarked as the Speedwagon Foundation workers got out.
Polnareff was confused, where was this new stand user? "So is the guy really short? We already dealt with a vampire baby, so hopefully this guy's a bit older." He asked, reaching over the seat towards the blanket.
"Please be careful Mr. Polnareff, he's in a foul mood and hates being disturbed." One of the workers warned.
"What? I just wanna know who the guy is."
Despite the warning the Frenchman moved the blanket, revealing a dog. Not just any dog though, it was a Boston Terrier, a kinda ugly Boston Terrier. This left the platinum blond confused. "Huh? It's a dog? I thought it was going to be this Speedwagon guy from how Mr. Joestar said it."
Before he could be corrected on the fact that it was indeed not Speedwagon since he died decades ago, the dog launched himself onto his face, biting his hair a bit. "GAH! Get this beast off of me!!!" Polnareff exclaimed.
"Oh yeah should have mentioned that he was a dog. His name is Iggy by the way." Joseph stated as he watched Polnareff run around getting his hair munched. As if this couldn't get any worse for the Frenchman, the dog farted, right in his mouth.
"AGH!" Polnareff exclaimed, causing the dog to smirk. Avdol, not wanting his friend to be in anymore pain, pulled out some coffee gum, which got the dogs attention, causing him to release the Frenchman.
Josuke giggled as he watched the dog's antics, being a small, fuzzy animal, he wanted to pet it right away. Iggy was charging towards the gum, only for him to grab the entire box and gnaw at it. "The least he could do is take the wrapping off." Avdol remarked, taking a step back as Iggy kept sloppily eating his gum.
As he was gnawing at the gum, he noticed Josuke giggling and clapping as he ate. The Boston Terrier just snorted as he continued to focus on his gum, sticking his tail up at the baby. "Damn, that dog sure us acting like a bitch." Jotaro thought. "How is this dog supposed to help us?"
Somehow Iggy understood what he was saying, pausing his gum chewing to show off. Sand surrounded the pup, forming into a monstrous looking stand. "That stand is known as The Fool. It's made entirely out of sand, which would be an advantage in a place like this." Avdol explained.
"Gah, that mutt just tore apart my beautiful hair!" Polnareff snapped, summoning Silver Chariot to slash up the dog into streamers. However the moment he lanced towards the stand, it just dematerialized and reformed around his rapier. "What the- It doesn't even hurt the dog?"
Iggy just snickered as The Fool tossed Silver Chariot away, then he made another lunge for Polnareff's hair. Luckily this time Avdol was able to pull him out of the way in time, causing Iggy to land face first into a sand mound. "From here on out we'll be in DIO's domain, so we'll all have to be on our guard. And we'll all need to work together."
Polnareff blushed a little as the fortune teller hugged him, only to be interrupted by their water canteen shaking.
"Huh? is there something in there?" Joseph asked, summoning Hermit purple immediately in case it was a stand of some sort. Giving it a whip, taking off the cap, and it was something alright.
Some sort of water being shot out from the canteen and grabbed a hold of one of the Speedwagon workers and dragged him into the canteen. As it did, the group watched in horror, hearing his screams.
"OH MY G-" Joseph was about to exclaim his iconic catchphrase when all of sudden the stand came back from the container started rattling again. A hand that was made of water slithered out. "What the hell is that thing? It has to be a stand." Joseph thought trying to use hermit
purple to grab it.
Unfortunately, since it was made of water, it couldn't be grabbed. Then, as it heard the movements cause by Joseph using his stand, it started approaching the old man.
"Holy shit! The water's alive!" He panicked; with all the noise he was making the stand just kept approaching him more. It wasn't until it heard Iggy trotting towards the jeep when the liquid hand made a dash towards him instead.
The pup was snorting at Josuke for wanting to pet him, he would have kicked sand into the baby's face if Jotaro didn't intervene, scooping up his baby relative. "Any damage your stand receives isn't relayed onto you, so y9u better be able to handle a fight." He growled at the Boston Terrier.
The Fool materialized once again, but this time it had large wings in place of its arms. Iggy hopped onto his stand, gliding away immediately. "Oh, you coward, fleeing at a time like this?!" Of course, he wasn't exactly one to talk, considering running is his grandfather's secret technique. Jotaro used Star Platinum to grab ahold of The Fool's back legs, carrying Josuke with his other hand.
Much to his surprise, the sand stand could withstand the excess weight without much trouble. "That stand doesn't detect us at all, and it was following Gigi from how much he was panicking. It must rely completely on ground vibrations. But how can we attack without making any noise?"
He could see a man out in the distance, sitting on the ground with a wooden cane. "If I could toss something that way, it should buy the others some time to escape."
Then he thought about it. What could he toss? I mean it's not like he could throw Josuke, he couldn't survive being thrown. It then hit him that there was something around him with an aerodynamic shape.
Star Platinum used one hand to grab the dog from ontop of the stand and thrown him like a baseball, but super hard. The man didn't expect to be hit by a 15 pound dog, especially at the volacity Jotaro was throwing him.
But before impact could occur, Kakyoin made a movement causing Geb, the mysterious water stand that was attacking the group, to rush towards him. Before he could move out of the way, his eyes got slit. "Gah! Kakyoin!" Polnareff squeaked trying to get him so Geb wouldn't absorb him or something.
The Frenchman, not really knowing what to do, tried distracting the water stand with his own stand as he put Kakyoin in the jeep. This was rather successful, since he got Kak to safety, well for the most part.
Geb would have gone for the jeep's tires, but at that point Iggy smashed right into his face. The angry dog bit him hard, then used The Fool to entrap the blind user within. "Guess that dog is good for something other than farting on Polnareff's face." Jotaro joked.
Star Platinum's fingers seemed to lengthen as the teen got closer to the attacking stand user, extending until two fingers cut hard into the user's arm. "A stand based around water, that's just horrifying. Imagine if one of us ended up drinking from that canteen." Jotaro thought, he shivered at the thought of a stand tearing him apart from inside.
Iggy snorted as soon as he saw the teen, with the user dispatched of, they just needed to heal Kakyoin's wounds. "Hey, you were the one who abandoned us when we were in serious danger here." Jotaro scolded the dog. "... Alright, I'm sorry I tossed you. I would have just grabbed a rock but there weren't any around."
Iggy just shot his tail up again. The jeep arrived not a moment too soon. "We're gonna have to stop at the closest town, Kakyoin's wounds are pretty deep, I don't think Josuke's stand would be enough to heal him." Avdol explained. "And we'll need to stock up on water."
Jotaro didn't waste any time, he immediately sat beside the redhead teen. "He better make it."
After speeding to the nearest hospital, they dropped the red head off. Jotaro was anxious as ever, worried about Kakyoin as he sat in the waiting room. He needed to know that Kakyoin was going to make before he could do anything else. He doesn't know why he's so attached to him, but if he lost Kakyoin he wouldn't know what to do with himself.
As the ravenette had a silent mental breakdown over the fact his friend could die, his grandpa, Avdol, and Iggy went and purchased a baby carrier in a nearby shop, mainly so if they were attacked by a stand user, they wouldn't have to worry about not having enough hands.
Polnareff decided to wait with Jotaro, deciding it would be better if he had someone with him in case, he felt any guilt for the situation that happened. "Hey, Jotaro, it wasn't your fault." He said noticing the tenseness on the teen's face.
"Huh? Oh. yeah, I know... I just... I don't want him to die..." Jotaro stated as he fidgeted with his sleeves. "Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be fine." The Frenchman tried to comfort him.
"I... I just don't know, I just got close to him during our whole trip. I've never been so close to anyone before, not even my relatives." Jotaro admitted. He wondered if this meant he was starting to become more than just friends with him, but that was impossible. It wasn't like Kakyoin was interested in him like that, right?
"Well, I'm sure he's going to be alright. The doctors will make sure he recovers; it'll take longer but he'll be back with us in no time." Polnareff tried to assure him. "Hey, how about we get Kak a little gift or something? There's a gift shop in the town and we can find him something nice, something we can all take home once DIO's dealt with."
Jotaro reluctantly got up; he didn't want to leave in case something happened while was away. "Well alright. I guess. I don't think he'd want me to mope around all day." He sighed. "I could use some tea."
Joseph and Avdol were just outside, holding Josuke in the new carrier around the old man's chest. "He's getting fussy again, let's take a breather at one of the cafes around here."
As they chatted, two figures watched from inside a cafe. "That's them alright, now you said they'd enter this place?"
"Yes, Thoth stated they would, and Thoth's predictions are 100% correct always. The French guy is going to drop a cigarette and it'll point here." The shorter of the two stated shyly, holding onto his comic book tightly. The two males were brothers, Oingo and Boingo.
The older of the two had the stand named after the Egyptian god Khnum, which gives him the ability of transformation. While the younger had the stand of Thoth, which bound to a comic book. They work together mainly since Boingo couldn't really work alone, both from Thoth lack of combat ability and from the child's inability to work with people he doesn't know.
Anyway, back with the main group, the group were deciding on where to go. "There are so many options."
"I have an idea." Polnareff stated as he pulled out a cigarette. "Wherever this cigarette points, we'll go there." he continued before tossing it in the air. It landed, pointing to the cafe Oingo and Boingo were in. "Alright, there it is, hopefully they have milk."
Oingo got an apron on as soon as the team made their way inside. "Damn, he never told us about the group having a baby. I mean it's kinda gruesome that we gotta take out someone less than a year old, but the job pays good." He thought as he approached the team.
"So, what are you ordering?"
"Well tea sounds good, and a milk for Josuke over here if you got any. Black tea to be specific." Polnareff requested.
"So, four teas then?" Oingo was about to go into the back to brew the tea when Joseph spoke up. "Gah, did he find out?" He thought.
"You can forget about the tea; we'll get soft drinks instead. And we'll open the bottles ourselves if you don't mind." The old man declared. He kept Josuke in the baby carrier as he glared hard at Oingo. "Is there a problem?"
"Uh, no. Alright, I'll get your colas." He reached into the mini fridge, grumbling as he thought of how he was supposed to add poison into the unopened bottles. "Was the prophecy wrong?"
Boingo watched from the backroom. "Thoth's predictions never let me down, it might just take a while for them to take their poison." He thought.
"... Why couldn't we get tea?" Jotaro asked, really wanting a cup of warm tea. "Well, Jotaro, if we get tea some enemy stand might be in it, or one of DIO's whores might poison us." Joseph asked. "Besides it won't hurt to be careful."
"...Wait did you still want milk for the baby?" Oingo asked, thinking he could at least get one of them. "Well-"
Before the old man could deny the milk, Josuke started to throw a tantrum from how fussy he was. Avdol tried calming the baby down, but he wouldn't stop crying. "I'll take that as a yes." Oingo stated before going to the drinks.
But... Something inside of him couldn't poison the milk. Something about that baby reminded him of when his brother was that age and it wouldn't be right, even though he was a mercenary. "Shit, this is back firing. Boingo, is Thoth saying anything?" He telecommunicated to Boingo.
"No, the next page still hasn't shown anything yet. Did something else happen out there, big bro?" The younger of the two asked. "Are they still suspicious? I could try something out-"
"No nothing like that, you just stay hidden back there. I'll bring over their drinks." The unopened bottles of cola alongside a sippy cup full of milk were brought over to the table. "DIO never told us we would have to kill a literal baby. Does he really think even that little guy would be a threat?"
Boingo looked over as Joseph held the bottle up to Josuke's lips, how happy the toddler was with his drink. "Wow, he really cares about the kid." He remarked, but he hid his face behind the book of Thoth. "We gotta get this done, with the money DIO's giving us we could get out of this place."
The team were unaware of the brothers' dilemma as they had their drinks, that is until Iggy decided to sneak in and steal some cake off a customer's plate. "Gah! Iggy, you gluttonous fleabag!" Polnareff snapped, running off after the Boston Terrier.
"Damn, they got away. Wait, DIO never specifically said we had to kill them, just keep them from getting to him, right?" Oingo exclaimed.
"Huh?"
"Well, we could just stall them in this town long enough, there's nothing stopping that vampire from growing his own little cult and stuff."
"... Big bro, I'm pretty sure he wants us to kill them, he hired us as assassins." Boingo commented as he holds onto Thoth, awaiting the next prophecy. "I know I just..."
"It's because of that baby, right? You don't want to kill it." The younger brother asked, getting a sigh from his older brother. "Yeah-"
Before he could finish his sentence, the book started glowing a bit, indicating that there was a new prophecy. "Ah, what does it say?" Oingo asked. Boingo quickly opened the book to the new page and started to read.
"The Oingo Boingo brothers hit a wall of morality! The Joestar group had brought a baby to use as a shield since they knew that hurting babies is wrong. So, the older brother, Oingo thought of a plan! He was going to plant a bomb in their car. But what about the baby? Well, Oingo was going to turn into Jotaro and move the baby to safety, making sure he wasn't hurt." The younger brother read.
"Um... Are you sure that's what we should do?" Oingo asked.
"The real Jotaro is walking to the hospital, so you won't end up running into him." Boingo assured him. "All you need to do is use your Khnum disguise and grab that baby before the others get back."
It seemed foolproof, a bomb was placed inside of an orange, set to go off as soon as it was peeled. Josuke was right inside, scribbling into a coloring book he obtained earlier. "There's the kid. Now I just gotta get him out of there so the rest of the team gets blown to bits." Oingo thought.
Khnum allowed him to not just change his shape, but also his scent, so there was no way Iggy could tell he was an imposter. The orange bomb was placed in a bag full of other oranges, now to grab Josuke and hightail it out of there. "Oh, hey Jotaro, you're already back from the gift shop?" Polnareff asked as they approached.
"Huh? Uh, yeah. I uh, I forgot my wallet, so I went back to get it." Oingo stammered. "Well, I found it, so I guess I'll be o-"
"Hey wait, you're taking Josuke with you? The little guy would burn up under this sun." Joseph remarked.
"Well, uh, I'll keep him shaded, he'll probably enjoy the scenic route too, right little guy?"
Josuke just blepped in response, going back to his book. "Well, we should get going, we'll meet you at the hospital."
"Wait! I think I'll go with you guys, and then pick up something afterwards." Oingo broke in. He had to get the bomb out now.
"Huh... Jotaro, I just noticed something. Did you change outfits?" Polnareff commented on as the car was in motion. Oingo paused, realizing he can't change the clothes he was wearing, only his physical features. "Oh, um... Maybe."
"It's okay if you did, I mean other than your hat being taller, it looks good."
"... Right... Thanks I guess..." Oingo stated, starting to get stressed out from the situation. He was already on edge due to the bomb but if he slips up here, he's extra done for. So, the best he could do if just not talk and try to discreetly find and get rid of the bomb.
He was about to reach it, but the Frenchman brought something else up. "Oh Jotaro, your hands are kinda smaller than most..." He noted. "So?" Oingo asked. "Crap, I thought his hands were this size? Did Khnum mess up?" He thought.
"Oh, nothing, just that you were a woman in a past life." Polnareff stated as he smirked. This got the attention of the old man, which distracted both of the men, allowing Oingo to toss out the orange bomb.
"Oh thank God, at least the baby will be alright." Oingo sighed, leaning back in his seat. That is until he heard muffled barking from behind.
"Where did you get that orange, Iggy? Did you steal it off a fruit cart?" Polnareff joked. The Boston Terrier was at the window with the bomb in his mouth. "Well, it looks clean enough at least. You want a slice?"
Oingo didn't waste a second, he immediately reached for the bomb before Polnareff could set it off. "Ack! What's got into you, Jotaro?"
"Well, uh, I mean isn't it obvious? Iggy probably dug it out of a crusty old dumpster with the way he eats. Even if it was clean, it's been in his mouth, he sank his teeth right into the fruit."
Iggy trotted over, giving him a good sniff. He simply shot his nose right up and turned tail. With the pup now right next to him, Josuke made another attempt to pet him. "I mean it looked alright to me. Hey Jotaro, I had a thought."
"Crap, what did I do this time? Does the mutt have an impeccable sense of smell that he knows I'm not the real Jotaro?" Oingo thought, tensing up.
"Have you ever noticed that the smaller dogs are always the uh... A-S-S hole variety?"
"Huh?"
"Polnareff, Jotaro never had the experience of owning a dog of any size, honestly neither have I, but from the media I've seen, small dogs are the worst personality wise." Joseph commented. "Like those crusty white dogs that old women have, they just yap at nothing."
"To be fair those dogs are biological abominations, I'm talking about Chihuahuas and Boston terriers." Polnareff stated.
"Well, they wouldn't behave like that if they weren't bothered. Dogs need personal space too." Oingo stated pausing when he said that and getting looks from the two adults. "Huh, didn't expect you to know that, since you're more interested in water animals." The old man commented. "Uh, um... K... Kakyoin told me once?" Oingo stated, trying not to be sussed out.
"... Hmmm... Yeah Kakyoin knows a lot of stuff, makes sense he would know about dogs too." Polnareff stated, just accepting this information.
"Oh my god, they're such idiots. How have they managed to survive for this long? Do they share a collective brain cell?" Oingo mentally screamed, he just had to get out of the madhouse before he loses it. "Gah! Oh, damn I got such bad cramps, I really gotta go!"
Polnareff made another reach for the bomb when he realized the imposter was once again acting mighty suspicious. "Ack! What's gotten into you, Jotaro? Wait a second."
Oingo didn't even bother to tense up this time, so far he was constantly being worked up over nothing. That is until he heard what Polnareff said next. "You're not really a fake, are you?"
"... Uh. Y-Yare yare daze, what do you take me for, Polnareff? Don't act like you've never had any bathroom trouble."
"Oh yeah, heh. I know about that all too well. Can you hold it in just a little longer? The hospital it just around the corner."
"I seriously can't hold it! I'll just go behind that rock and catch up later!" Oingo squeaked. He was practically shoving himself out the car window. Finally, he was out of the car, bomb in hand. "I just gotta toss this out and then I'm home free!"
However, as he was running, he bumped into someone he was hoping was miles away. "Gah! Who the hell a-what? You look exactly like me..." It was the real Jotaro.
"I uh-"
"Are you an enemy stand user? Cause if you are I won't hold any mercy to you." Jotaro stated as he summoned Star Platinum. "Wait, wait!"
"Hey why are there two Jotaros?"
The others had caught up and were there. "U-Uh how can you possibly tell us apart? How do you know I'm not the real Jotaro?" Oingo said fumbling as he finally got rid of the bomb. "Well, I mean it's pretty obvious-"
"Gah! I can't handle this!" Oingo yelled, exposing his true form. "Whoa! Who even are you?" Polnareff asked. "My name is Oingo me and my brother Boingo were sent to kill you, but everything is gone wrong and-"
"If your here to kill us, you're doing a lousy job at it. You barely did anything." Joseph commented. "It's because of that baby... I couldn't kill a kid, even if it's for the job..." Oingo explained. "Oh... Still going to beat you up though-"
"Wait!" A small shy voice exclaimed. It was Boingo, running up to his brother in an out of character burst of bravery, trying to protect him. "Boingo? What are you doing here?"
The younger of the two siblings got in front of him, his arms out wide before anyone could attack. "You're not gonna hurt my big bro!" He squeaked. "I won't let you do it!"
The team was surprised, the kid was willing to take the blow for his older brother, he looked no older than ten. "Boingo... You've grown. You got guts now." Oingo remarked. "But I'm the one who's supposed to look after you."
It was then Jotaro noticed the pages on Thoth. "That's us at the cafe, let me guess. Your stand can predict the future?"
Boingo just nodded, not taking his eyes off any of the group. "We were going to be paid millions, enough to get out of here and really start living." The child replied. "We just needed to take you all out, but he never told us about that baby."
Josuke was completely unaware as he stayed in the carrier around Joseph. "So, you disguised yourself to get Josuke here away from the car? And I bet that orange was hiding something inside? Like a bomb?"
Oingo had to restrain himself from yelling 'gee what gave you that idea?' He took a couple deep breaths before explaining himself. "We didn't have the best life here, that DIO guy was literally the only option we had to finally get away from this."
"Wait, get away? As in, get away from your parents?" Joseph asked.
"Yeah... They were kinda abusive, well... More like a lot abusive. They'd hit and yell at us just because we were 'weird' to them, hell even our dad tried to sell Thoth for alcohol money. Of course, since it was his stand, it came back to him but still. We had no other choice but to run away, it was mostly for Boingo's sake. He shouldn't have to deal with that, he was only 6 at the time..."
"Wait you had stands before meeting DIO?" Polnareff asked, since he got his stand when he encountered the vampire. "Well, kinda, Thoth is a bound stand, so it's connected to one of my little bros comics." The older of the two explained.
Jotaro watched the two explain their backstory and just listened. He knew what it was like to be seen as weird, though he wasn't abused for it. But the feeling of becoming an outcast just for being different is something he could understand. "I see... Alright, you convinced me to not beat you to a pulp for working for that vampiric a-hole."
"Thanks, I guess. I mean we can't go back to DIO, he'll probably want us killed for not finishing the job." Oingo stated.
"Well, if it's money you need, I just gotta make a call to the Speedwagon Foundation." Joseph declared. "They'll give you all the cash you'd need, and a new place to live."
"Uh, you'd really do that? But why? You barely know us."
"Hey, I don't need a reason to pitch in. You were in a bad place and that ass emotionally manipulated you guys." Was the response they got. "Anyone with a heart would want you to get better."
Speaking of getting better, Kakyoin was bandaged up in the hospital. He was alone for what felt like days, although he had a feeling he would see his friends again very soon. "Jojo's been opening up a lot during our trip, I even saw him smiling when we took out that reckless driver and his car stand." He thought. "Heh, he's really cute when he smiles like that."
He blushed at the thought of being with him again, although he didn't want to show it. "I don't think he'd like me like that, I mean I never asked who he's into. Well, I should one day." He assured himself. "I wish I could just see him, Josuke's little stand should keep me from becoming completely blind."
And speak of the devil, Jotaro entered the hospital room. "Hey, Kak, uh... How are you recovering?" He asked standing there, looking at him. "Oh, Jotaro! I mean I'm fine, I guess, would be better if I wasn't in the hospital."
"True, anyway, you want to know what happened when you were in the hospital?" Jotaro stated before info dumping about the situation with Oingo and Boingo. The redhead listened, enjoying the sound of Jotaro's voice. "Wow, he turned into you? That's interesting." Kakyoin stated. "Hey, since my wounds aren't as deep now, do you think Josuke can heal them? I hate being in the hospital."
"I mean we could try, I guess. I'll be right back, the old man put Josuke in a baby carrier, so he's basically attached to him." Jotaro said as he sped walked out of the room to retrieve that stand user baby. Once he returned, he placed the baby on the hospital bed.
"Alright Josuke, try using your stand on him." Jotaro stated softly. Josuke summoned Crazy Diamond letting the small stand bap the red hair teen until he was healed.
Josuke immediately hugged the redhead, curling up against his chest. "I'm happy to see you too, Josuke. I should be able to get out of here now. Cairo is just a day away." Kakyoin remarked, petting the toddler's head.
"The old man said we should get some rest once we arrive, we've been so on edge we could use a break." Jotaro explained. "As much as I want to get to DIO as quickly as possible, we can't neglect our own mental health. Avdol got us reservations at this fancy hotel, three bedrooms like before."
"Heh, think we'll get the room with a double bed this time?" Kakyoin joked, only to realize what he had just said. "Uh, I mean uh-"
The teen was a blushing mess. "Kak uh... You want us to sleep in the same bed together?"
"I mean, only if you're comfortable with it. If we do get the double bed I could just slee-"
As the two teens continued to blush away, Josuke giggled, using Crazy Diamond to pull his older relative towards Kakyoin.
"Gah!" the ravenette exclaimed trying to brace for impact. He was able to catch himself with Star Platinum before he could land on the redhead, but the two teens were inches away from each other, only making them blush more. "Uh..."
"J...Jotaro... Um... I was wondering... Do you-"
Before Kakyoin could even ask Jotaro what his preference was, Joseph burst into the room. "Hey I think we should get going to the hotel, is Kakyoin healed yet?" He asked before noticing the situation. "Oh, am I interrupting anything?"
"Ah, Mr. Joestar, I-"
"Don't worry Kakyoin, I accept you as my future son in law, heh, just don't have any bad intentions alright." The old man joked. "I'mma be in the hallway, so make your little make out session quick." He stated, picking up Josuke and carrying him out of the hospital room.
Now there was only Kakyoin and Jotaro, blushing more at that just happening. "God that was so embarrassing..." Jotaro thought, hiding his face with his hat.
They were as red as fresh cherries, their cheeks even hotter than the outside sun. "I don't know what got into the little guy there. He just yanked me off my feet." The ravenette stammered. "I uh, sorry about that Kak. Uh, Kakyoin... I umm..."
Just looking at his red face was making Kakyoin feel even more attractive to him. "Wow um, you look... Nice, with that red." He uttered out. "I uh... I guess Mr. Joestar was right about one thing."
"Huh?"
The redhead continued to blush as he inched a little closer to his friend. "Jojo, I've gotten so close to you lately. In uh, a sort of romantic way. I just can't bear the thought of being without you."
Jotaro was starting to become nonverbal again, tugging at his jacket as thoughts raced through his mind. "Hey... Match my breathing."
Jotaro did, upon which he slowly became verbal again. "I just... I can't believe you like me like that." The ravenette commented. "Do... Do you not like me like that back?"
"Kakyoin I wouldn't be blushing like this if I didn't like you... Hell... I can't even say I like you..." Jotaro started before looking into Kakyoin's lavender eyes the best he could. "I... I love you... I think, I'm not completely sure... You make me feel things the girls at school wish they made me feel, if that makes sense."
Kakyoin chuckled softly as he cupped the ravenette's face. "I love you too Jotaro." He stated before kissing him softly. Jotaro was blushing even harder than before. This was his first kiss, and it felt so nice. His lips were soft and slightly cherry flavored, like he used ChapStick.
Once the two separated, Jotaro smiled softly as he looked at the other teen. He felt secure with him, that he's with the person he loves. It was going to be difficult to explain to his parents, but he didn't care. "We should probably get to the hotel now before it gets dark."
The ride over was a bit bumpy, but they managed to make it to the outskirts before sundown, all they needed to do now was take a breather and enjoy the scenery before confronting DIO once and for all.
