Not A Second Time

Chapter 2;

"God! You're always sleepin'!" Amelia said setting heavy bags down on my body

"I'm not asleep!" I said quickly, a known reflex of mine, whenever someone does catch me sleeping.

"No, no, no. You were just warming up the covers for the hot English rock'n'roll band that should be here in less than an hour." Amelia said laughing at me, I quickly gasped and acted offended.

"What kind of girl do you think I am? English girls are not as entertained as American girls, we do 'ave the same accent, ye know." I said talking in the thickest accent I could.

"Show off." Amelia said, picking up the bags, I got out from under the covers and started helping her put the grocery’s up. "Ellie!" Amelia said, like there was a bug on me. "Your clothes are wrinkled go change!"

"What?"

"They're wrinkled. The Beatles will be less than five feet away from us. Go change."

"Amel-" I began to say but she shh'd me.

"I will get something from my closet. Change. Now."

"I'm not goin' to church!" I complained like a little kid. I couldn't tell if Amelia was just a really girly girl influence on me, or a motherly one.

"You may after you get with them." Amelia said winking at me, I started laughing as sarcastically as I could. I picked out a simple outfit, jeans and a shirt that Amelia would approve of and changed in them.

"Do I look presentable?" I asked, turning in my outfit.

"Amazing! Can I do your make up?" Amelia asked, tapping her finger on her cheek.

"NO!" I said covering my face, I hated make-up and the idea of it, 'hey use this to look more socially acceptable'. No thank you.

"Fine, fine. I have to do mine anyways, they'll be here in a few minutes!"

"When did they land?" I asked grabbing an apple and sitting on the counter stool.

"At six in the morning! Apparently there were about a million girls out there, plus press conferences. Chuck said he'd call once they walked in." Amelia called from the bathroom.

**John's POV**

"I don't want you boys to be mobbed anymore than you already have. Go on without me, I'll get the keys. There should be two people waiting up there for you, who will show you the rooms. It's the 27th floor. Alright 27?" Our manager, Brian, said sternly. But I could barely listen, this is where Eloise came too, and left me. I wonder if she remembers me? "Paul what's the floor number?"

"The 27th floor Brian, calm down. Yer makin' me more nervous than the girls are. They don't even know where we're stayin'." Paul said. Paul and I have become very close after Eloise left, I think he felt the same pain I did and was there for me when Stu died. I love the kid.

"I know, I'm sorry. Just be careful, alri'?"

"We will. I think this is the place right?" Ringo, our new drummer said. I looked up at the high building, there were bellhops waiting out front and a guard outside too, but not too many people crowding around. Ringo joined the band, after we had fired Pete, Ringo is a great drummer and a nice friend, funny and strange, but that's just Ringo.

"Come on." Brian ordered, and as soon as we got out, it seemed to gather an immediate crowd, sure did put that guard to work. Paul, George, Ringo and I made it into the hotel lobby with almost as little as a scratch. "Go on!" Brian shouted and we quickly went to the lift.

"Some bird pulled the life out of me hair!" Ringo said laughing and pushing his hair back down. "27th floor by the way, if I 'eard Brian say it one more time, I'd punch 'em."

"You alright?" Paul asked me quietly after he pressed the button.

"Eloise is here." I said quietly, it was hard to even say her name out loud. "Maybe I could actually see 'er you know. I'd love too."

"I know mate, so would I. Maybe you could ask whoever's up 'ere for a phone book. Porter." Paul told me, but I knew her last name. Why would I forget it, more importantly how. The silver doors opened and there was a girl waiting outside for us.

"Oh... Um, I'm Amelia, but you can call me Amy." This blonde girl said, she seemed like she was supposed to be up here and had a large wad of keys. "Ellie's supposed to be here. Hold on." She said before screaming Ellie. A girl with long light brown hair and killer legs clumsily fell out from a door way. "I'll take you two to your room. Ellie! Take them to their room. You'll be right across from us." This Amy girl said before showing Paul and I down the hall, I tried to get a look at the girls face, but her long hair was in the way.

Amy was cute I thought to myself, but she was no Eloise. Amy's hair was only a tad shorter than Ellie's and it was blonde, she had light brown eyes and an almost picture perfect straight smile. She must've had braces before. "So tell me love, how old are ye and yer friend?" Paul asked, in his 'I'm a charmer' voice.

"We're both twenty-two. Your room is 2706, and theirs are 2705. You may open the doors in-between." she said opening the door to a marvelous hotel room.

"Ta, love." Paul said. "Would you, and Ellie of course, like to come back after we get settled in?" Paul asked, she giggled slightly at his invitation and I felt as if I'd barf. I walked past them and into one of the seprate bedrooms.

**Eloise's POV**

"Hi, I'm Eloise. Or Ellie, and I like to nap... A lot." I said awkwardly. The two boys stood in front of me and I started to walk down the hall. "I guess I should show you yer room, it's room 2705."

"Where are you from?" The slightly younger and skinner man asked me.

"Oh. Blackpool. But when I got older I lived in Liverpool, England." I said as I nervously opened the door.

"No way." He said as I opened the door and stepped aside.

"I know, the rooms are pretty extravagant 'ere you know." I said and turned back to him.

"I know you." He said quickly.

"You do?" The other man asked.

"I do! Eloise, from Liverpool, who sleeps too much. Originally from Blackpool, but lived in Liverpool. You lived with Paul for awhile and dated John. Come on, Eloise you know me. I'm Georgie remember? I was yer favorite!" He said, and all the memories came flooding back to me. I knew he looked familiar! We quickly embraced each other in a hug.

"God! How're you! Ye looked great, obviously doin' well for yerself, yeah? I'm not obsessed with The Beatles, so sorry I didn't know yer name. But I knew you looked familiar!" I said and laughed.

"I'm great! Tourin' America. How're you? I thought you came 'ere to be an artist." George asked.

"I did. It's just, not a full time job you know? I've missed you and the whole group. How'd you get into The Beatles? Are Paul, John, and Pete in another band?"

"John and Paul are 'ere!" George said excitedly.

"J-john's here?" I asked, tears quickly clouded my eyes but I blinked them away. "He's in The Beatles?"

"John tried to contact you for the longest you you know? He missed you like hell. Said he was goin' to give up playin' a day before, Brian, our manger contacted us."

"He did?" I asked, tears starting to spill out.

"I'm so sorry." George said, pulling me into a big hug. My tears soaked the shoulder of his shirt and I started to laugh.

"It's silly for me to be upset about this after all this time. Isn't it?" I said, wiping a tear away.

"No love it isn't, John has been quiet this whole time, if that means anything?"

"I think we all know that John's silence is the worst." I said laughing.

"Tis true!" George said laughing. "Anyways, we had to kind of... Fire Pete... But this is Ringo, Ringo this is our long lost friend Eloise Porter."

"Nice to meet you love." Ringo said shaking my hand. Ringo was shorter than George, but still taller than me, he hand big blue eyes that looked like they could hold entire galaxies. I think I may have crept him out because I looked at him too long.

"Nice to meet you too." I said and let go of his hand. "I think I should be gettin' back with Amelia. Um, you can open the door on the right and it connects your rooms. I'm right across the room if you need me, okay?"

"Course dear, come back later for drinks?" George asked showing off his fanged smile making me smile.

"Sure. Bye you lot." I said opening the door.

"Eloise?"

"Yes George?"

"Should I tell John I saw you?" George asked, I thought for a minute and smiled.

"Only if he cares to ask." I told him before closing the door. Well, all I knew is that I'd be in the presence of someone I've been dying to see for the longest time. Nervous is an understatement, and emotional wreck would be too.
