Boys
Chapter 5;
I woke up, warm and in bed with another person, something I haven't experienced since Amelia has gotten her flat painted and needed a place to stay. "Johnny." I whispered, turning to face him, in his grip around my waist.
"Wow, major déjà vu." John said in his sleepy voice and kissed my forehead. "I've never been so happy."
"Neither have I." I told him, tapping his nose. John slowly looked me in the eye, and I felt that sudden wave shock go through me yet again. John moved in and his eyes fluttered shut, I followed his lead and moved in, brushing his lips, finally meeting, something we've both been longing for. John kissed me, snaking him other arm around my waist and pulling me on top of him. Never breaking the kiss. I pulled away, gasping for air. The kiss, not only left me breathless but shocked my whole body. I giggled looking down at him, and pushed his hair away from his eyes.
"Guess what?" John said, putting his hands on my hips.
"Hm?"
"I love you." John said. "So much." And quickly began to tickle me.
"Stop! Johnny!" I screamed, I felt as if my spleen would bust. "Help! John!" I cried laughing. John put his hands up in defense. "I was gonna make you breakfast. But no more." I said, wagging a finger at him.
"Yer pancakes are the best." John said, kissing my cheek. We slept in our clothes. Nothing happened, John hadn't kissed me on the lips, till a few seconds ago. I changed into a big sweater and some comfy pants. It was freezing out, yet they said it'd be warming up during noon hours, I wouldn't count on it. I called the hotel and got Brian to send over a ride for John and I.
"I'm surprised he wasn't barkin' at us over the phone." John said, as we walked down the two flights of stairs and saw the car that drove us last night. By the time we got to the hotel, it was starting to get to be eight and there was a small crowd gathering.
"Mr. Lennon, Mr. Epstein wanted me to make sure you got this." The driver said, handing over a large top hat.
"Thank you so much." John said, putting on the hat and intertwining our fingers. We walked through the crowd like a normal couple so no one would notice, and they didn't. But as soon as we got into the lobby, I saw an angry looking Chuck.
"Duck!" I whisper-yelled as we made our way towards the elevators. I don't think Chuck was able to pick up in those couple of seconds who, I was. But it's better to be safe then sorry.
"Who was that?" John asked, laughing as the left brought us up to the twenty-seventh floor.
"My boss, we're supposed to be watching over you guys. And I think this," I said pointing towards our intertwining fingers. "Is a little more than he'd want."
"Well he'll 'ave to deal with it." John said kissing my cheek. But while I thought about it I knew I could lose my job, I could mess up my whole reputation. Maybe it would be better to leave. John and I speed walked to his room and pushed open to unlocked door.
"Thank God yer 'ere!" Paul said dramatically. "Brian 'as been goin' insane. You better go 'ed and take yer shower."
"Alri' alri' I'm goin'." John said squeezing my hand before walking toward the bathroom.
"You and John eh?" Paul said once John was out of sight.
"It seems like such a shocker huh? Me and John, somethin' you'd never guess." I said sarcastically and started laughing. Just like old times.
"It is, I thought you might've gone for someone else. Like George... Or me." Paul simply said, winking at me. I lost my breathe quickly, how could Paul say that? I couldn't tell if I was disgusted or intrigued, but either way I knew it wasn't right. I was with John, wasn't I?
"Did John get back?" George said, walking in the door, before I had a chance to reply. "Well yer 'ere. I'm guessin' so." George said sitting down on the couch beside of me.
"Sorry about that. Woke up late." I told him and George quickly gave me a look. "Not like that you bloke!" I said, hitting him with a pillow.
"I didn't say anythin'." George said throwing his hands up.
"But you looked at me." I told him, which I immediately thought sounded dumb.
"Well love," Paul began, flipping his hair ever so slightly. "If lookin' at you, is a crime. I deserve the death sentence." Paul finished, winking and sitting down on the coffee table.
"Paul's real good with the ladies." George told me, rolling his eyes, making us both laugh.
"What're you lot doin' today?" I asked, trying to act nonchalantly, but I really didn't want them to leave.
"We've got a newspaper interview, and then we're headin' down to practice for the Ed Sullivan show, and other things that can't be too important." George told me. "Do you want some tea by the way? I see Paul made some, but didn't think to offer any."
"Sure" I said and laughed as George ruffled Paul's hair.
"So, how're you liking America? Enough to leave us, hm?" Paul asked, moving from the table to beside of me and putting a lose arm around my shoulder.
"I didn't know where you guys were. I would've come back if I did. And how was Hamburg? Liked it enough to leave us then too?" I said, suddenly mad. Paul's face twisted and he looked down as if he was ashamed.
"Hamburg... Wasn't good Ellie. It changed us, it changed all of us. I don't regret goin' there, I regret who and what I left behind, you were one of them. It's odd seein' you now, ye know? We've both changed so much; John, George and I aren't the same people." Paul told me quietly, as if he said it too loud it change everything, like he'd be aware of his own changes and act upon them.
"I feel like I haven't change at all. I mean, I was so torn up about John, that I've only kissed two guys, separate from John, in over four years." I told him honestly, leaning closer so only he could hear my whisper.
"Yer so beautiful and perfect," Paul said, snaking his arm around my hip as his eyes kept locked with mine. "He doesn't deserve you. You stayed away from guys," Paul whispered in my ear, his warm breathe making my skin tingle. "And he did the exact opposite with girls." Paul told me, slowly so I had time to process it all. We didn't talk about what happened, but how could he do that to me. I felt tears to begin stirring in my eyes and Paul pulled me closer.
"Do you want sugar?" George yelled between the two rooms, I quickly pulled myself away from Paul's grip. This was wrong, I didn't know the truth. I walked away from Paul, leaving him speechless.
"Um, have you seen Amelia?" I asked, walking into the room.
"She's still asleep in me bed. I can't believe yer awake before 'er anyways." George said laughing.
"Wait!" I said quickly realizing what he said. "Why is she in yer bed?"
"Get yer head out of the gutter!" Ringo said laughing, bringing over sugar. "She fell asleep and little Georgie, the gentleman as always carried 'er to his bed."
"And nothin' happened?" I asked.
"Nope. We came back from the club and you and John were gone." Ringo informed me again.
"Then you should go check on 'er shouldn't you Geo?" I said, fake coughing. George was Amelia's favorite after all. George caught on and quickly went to his room.
"So... Sugar?" Ringo asked making us both laugh
"Yes please." I told him. "How did you get to be part of The Beatles?" I asked.
"Oh. Pete Best was kind of fired and EMI were holdin' additions, I kind of just came. They took a liking to me, and I was in." Ringo said, widening his eyes being overdramatic as he reenacted the moment.
"Ah, you like it then?"
"Course I do, they're a great lot of guys. I know ye've known 'em for awhile, yeah?" Ringo said. I was beginning to like him and he wasn't as awkward as I would've guessed.
"Since I was a teenager, yeah. I lived with Paul for a while and dating John even longer."
"Yeah, I've 'eard yer name a lot." He said, laughing.
"Good things? Or bad ones?"
"Good mostly, John would get upset if they said somethin' out of place 'bout ye." Ringo said, making me blush to my core. Wow, so maybe John actually did care? Of course he did.
"Goodmorning Ellie and Ringo." Amelia said, walking into the kitchen with George's arm around her.
"Morning. What time are you leaving?" I asked. George quickly checked his watch.
"Brian will be 'ere in about half an hour."
"Then we should go, yeah?" I said, grabbing onto Amelia. "We can let them go get ready, no doubt we'll see you tonight, right?"
"Bu-" Amelia started, but once she caught my glare she quickly shut up. "Yeah. I think it'll be best that we start goin'."
"Yer leavin' already?" John asked, all dressed up now in his suit in wet hair.
"Yes. Brian should be 'ere anyways and you know how he feels about me." I told John, giving him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Smile Johnny, I'll see you later."
"See you lot later!" I said, closing the door behind Amelia and I. I quickly ran away from Amelia's eyes and unlocked the door, jumping on the couch.
"Tell me everything!" Amelia said sitting on my legs. I quickly sat up and went into a detailed conversation about everything, last night, the kiss, Paul. Everything.
"So what should I do?" I asked, pouting.
"Well, find out what's going on with John. Like if it's a real relationship. And if it is, I suggest you go with him to London." Amelia told me seriously.
"Okay. Ok, I will. So, what about you and Georgie?" I asked making her blush.
"I don't know. He's cute, but so are Paul and Ringo. Can't I have them all?" Amelia said, and that's how our day went talking and she let me take a nap! Before we started getting ready for tonight. Tonight will be tough to handle with maybe more information for me to handle.
