Alpha/Omega Hunter/Angel au
Castiel is an Omega angel, who gets bullied by Dean, an Alpha human. He was sent to Sioux Falls with Gabriel and Michael (his younger and older brother) to watch over the Winchester's. Sam and Dean only hunt in the summer, or when they have days off from school. They make the most of the days they have. They wanted to graduate before continuing onto being Hunters full-time. Castiel will heal himself in private on the way home from school, after dealing with a beating from Dean. Castiel doesn't talk at all, besides writing or texting. This gets him to be abused by Michael. The next day, Dean thinks he just has on makeup. What happens when Dean finally tells Cass why he's bullying him? Or when Dean finds out he's been bullying an Angel Of The Lord?
A/N: In this story, Michael is the devil. He was chosen to protect Castiel because he's a powerful weapon. Obviously, that was a bad decision. Michael kills multiple archangels, but he chooses to keep Castiel alive for beatings, and Gabriel for healing Castiel back to good health. Lucifer is the good guy, God's favorite. He's like a close older brother to Castiel, and a twin to Gabriel. Except Lucifer is witty and funny, like he is in the show (at least that's my opinion of him).

*Castiel's POV*
"You're such a freak!" Dean yells as he shoves me against the lockers. I wince in pain, making him laugh. "Still not gonna talk, huh?" I squeeze my eyes shut in hopes of him just walking away. I whimper in pain when a fist collides with my cheek. "How are you even still here? You're so pathetic!" He punches me again and drops me to the ground. "See you tomorrow, freak."
I grab my bag from beside me and quickly make my way to the back of the building. After healing my wounds, I lean against the wall. That one really took it out of me. "What was that bright light?" I hear someone ask. I scurry off to the sidewalk in attempt to get away from the person who saw. Someone puts their hand on my shoulder, stopping me in my tracks.
"Cass, were you gonna leave without me?" Gabe asks. I turn around and sigh in relief. I pull out my phone to respond to him as we walk.
Gabe
Me: Sorry, Gabe.
Gabe: It's okay, Cass
Me: Someone asked what the light was, so I ran
Gabe: Healing again??
Me: Obviously
Gabe: Dean is an ass, don't mind him
Me: It's either Michael or Dean. I'm tired of it, Gabe
Gabe: Stand up to Dean. Ask why he's being a dick
Me: Never in a million years
Gabe: He'll be gone by then, Cass
Me: But we won't. That's my point
Gabe: You're gonna break one day if you don't
Me: He already thinks I'm a freak
Gabe: When you find your Alpha, he's gonna kill Dean
Me: It's easier for you. All you have to do is find that one Omega you can smell. I have to fucking wait for him to tell me
Gabe: Yeah, I know. Stupid angel rules
Me: You can say that again
We make it to our house, that's conveniently placed across from the junk yard where the Winchester's stay. All because we have to 'watch over them'. We walk into our house and walk to our rooms. "Castiel! I need you to go to Singer's Salvage Yard and have them change our breaks and ignition!" Michael yells.
I sigh. I run down the steps and pick up the car keys from the side table. I get behind the wheel and drive to the auto shop beside Singer's Salvage Yard, where the three of them work. After parking, I pick up the notepad and write 'breaks and ignition' on it along with the make and model. I walk to the front of the shop and hand it to them.
"Thanks, have a seat," Sam says. I do as I'm told and pull out my phone. "Dean, breaks and ignition! Car's in the parking lot!"
"Thanks, Sammy!" He yells back. "What's their name?!"
I get up and take the paper back, writing 'Castiel Novak' on it. I take my seat again. "He said it's Castiel Novak!"
"Fuck," I hear Dean mutter to himself. Stupid angel hearing. "Okay, Sammy!"
The door opens and Gabe walks in. "Didn't want to leave you here alone with that dick," Gabe tells me. He stood in his tracks. His eyes dart to Sam at the desk. Sam looks over to him too. "Are you an Omega?" Sam nods.
"Why is your scent stronger than other Alphas?" Sam asks.
I snort, trying to hold in a laugh. "Watch it, Cass. Michael wants you home, but I told him no." I pull out my notepad and write 'Did he hit you?' Gabe walks over and sighs. "No, I got out before he could. You know him, he won't do it in public." I reply with 'Yeah, I know. Just so you know, Dean is the one working on the car.' "That douche, he better not fuck it up."
"Does he not talk?" Sam asks. Dean walks in but stands at the counter.
"No, at least he doesn't want to. We've been through some shit, so he stopped talking," Gabe tells them. I write 'I'm fine, Gabe. I'll talk when I want to. Dean often asks when I'll talk because I make myself seem weak.' "You're an ass, Dean. He's probably stronger than all of us combined. He just chooses not to."
"What does Dean do?" Sam asks.
"He wears makeup, for God's sake. Who does that?" Dean snickers.
"It's not makeup, you dumbass," Gabe spits back. I shove Gabe lightly, telling him to shut up. He hits the wall and the painting falls off the wall. Everyone stares at me in shock. "Thanks for that, Cassie. I'll shut up now," Gabe groans. I roll my eyes and hold in a laugh.
"He did that with one hand. How is that even possible?" Dean asks.
Gabe goes to speak but the door slams open. We all turn to face it. Malachi?! Gabe backs up and we pull out our angel blades. "You're pathetic. You think I came alone?" Malachi laughs.
Three people with angel blades come from behind him. "You don't want to do this, Malachi. Not with the Winchester's here," Gabe says.
"Because little Castiel was sent to watch over them? And had you and Michael come protect him? Castiel didn't deserve that assignment. We're trying to protect heaven, since you rebelled against God," Malachi tells us.
Gabe and I exchange quick glances and throw our angel blades, hitting two of them in the chest. We run up to them and Malachi nicks my side. I pull my angel blade out of the dead angel before stabbing it into Malachi's chest. Gabe puts his hand on the remaining angel's forehead and his eyes burn out as he screams. I pull out my angel blade and stuff it into my pocket while Gabe does the same.
"How the hell did they find us, Cass?" Gabe asks. I glare at him. "Right, that's not important." We turn around to see the Winchester brothers staring at us in shock.
"What just happened?" Sam asks.
"The angels are coming after us," Gabe says, like it's going to answer all their questions. "Shit, Cass, you're still bleeding." He goes to heal me but I push him away. I put my hand to my side and wince at the pain of healing. I fall onto the couch and take a deep breath. "Cass, you should've let me. You need to recharge from healing yourself all the time," Gabe points out.
"What the hell is going on?" Dean asks.
"You've been bullying an Angel Of The Lord. It wasn't makeup that he was using, he was healing himself. He does it at least twice a day. It takes it out of him," Gabe tells him.
I sit up and grab onto Gabe for support. I grab the notepad and write 'Michael's going to be pissed.' Gabe sighs. "So both of you, you're angels?"
"Is that why your scent is stronger?" Sam asks.
"Scent?" Dean asks.
"Angels are still either Alpha, Beta, or Omega. It works differently though. An Omega's mate is the only one to be able to smell their scent. Like Cassie over here. He's an Omega," Gabe tells them. I shove him off the couch, making him laugh. "Okay, okay. I get it. Anyway, for an Alpha like me, they will only smell their Omega. Their Omega will notice their scent is stronger, too. Which is what Sam was talking about."
"So we're...?" Sam asks.
"Yup. Cassie here hasn't found his mate yet. It would be easier if he could smell him, but that's not how it works," Gabe tells them.
Dean just stands there, taking in the information. I get a text.
Michael
Michael: When are you coming home?
Me: I don't know. Dean stopped working on it, so idk what's going on
Michael: Tell him to get off his ass and work. I'm not paying him to sit around
Me: I'm the one paying him to get your car done. You're just lounging on the couch
Michael: Don't bother coming home tonight unless you want to be in a lot of pain. I know you don't have enough power to heal yourself and I won't let Gabe heal you
Me: Where am I gonna stay then?
Michael: Not my problem
I sigh, standing up and handing my phone to Dean, so he goes back to working. "What am I supposed to do with this?" He asks. I roll my eyes and scroll to the top of the chat. "Oh, I'll get back to it. I was on break, Bobby told me to come back to it when I got off break." I nod and take my phone back.
•••
It's now dark out. Gabe went on home and I'm at a park, leaning against a tree. I check the time: 3:26AM. I tuck my phone into my pocket and sigh. I start to sweat, even though it's 38°F. Shit, this can't be happening. I pull out my phone and text Gabe.
Gabe:
Me: Heat is starting. What am I supposed to do
Gabe: If your Alpha lives in this town, he'll be there within the hour. You have to had contact with him sometime in the past week. Could be someone passing by, or someone who lives near here. There's no angel suppressants, as far as I know.
Me: And if he's not here anymore?
Gabe: There's an abandoned warehouse that I heard some kids talking about. They had fixed it up awhile ago, that way Omegas in heat will have someplace to go away from Alphas. If he's not there in an hour, let me know and I'll send you the address. If you don't text me I'll assume he's there
Me: I can't believe it's happening in the middle of a fucking park. This is bs
Gabe: Yeah that sucks. Sam's probably gonna go into his heat in the next couple days
Me: You get his number??
Gabe: Obviously
Me: How cute. What am I gonna do about school
Gabe: I'll tell them you went into heat. They won't question it
Me: Thanks
*Third Person POV*
"Shit," someone whispers. "Dammit, Cass. Why are you in the middle of a park?" From the voice, Cass can tell that it's Dean. Dean walks over to Castiel and bends down. He then notices the sweat on Cass' forehead. "Seriously, Cass? In the middle of a park? Are you kidding me?" He picks Castiel up and a small moan escapes his lips. Dean mutters multiple profanities under his breath. He opens the back door of his Impala and sets Castiel down. He sits down in the drivers seat before taking off down the road. "Are you insane? You just sat there."
"Dean," Cass says, his voice hoarse. He slams on the breaks and looks at the angel. "How did you find me?"
"I could smell your scent all the way from Bobby's," he says.
"Why did it trigger now? I've known you for months," Castiel asks.
"Maybe because I just found out today why you were the only one I could smell," Dean points out. He starts up the Impala and continues on driving.
"Right," Cass sighs. "Where are you taking me?"
"I don't know, I'm trying to get you away from people. Dammit, Cass! You can't just go into heat in the middle of a park!" Dean hits a pothole, making Cass moan at the friction. "Fuck, just hold on. Jody leant me her cabin. We're almost there."
"Dean," Castiel moans. "I can't." He stops the car abruptly and Cass moans again. He quickly gets them both inside and throws the angel on the bed.
"I can't believe I'm doing this," Dean mutters.
He climbs on top of Cass and pins his hands above his head. Castiel jerks his hips up, searching for friction. Dean grunts and starts sucking on his neck. Cass leans his head to the side, giving him more room. Dean grinds against him, making the both of them moan. Dean unpins Castiel's hands before taking off the trench coat, along with the shirt underneath. Cass puts his hands on the hem of Dean's shirt before lifting it above his head. Dean lifts up Cass and pulls his pants off, so he's only in boxers now. Their lips connect, and they fight for dominance. Dean's tongue glides against Cass' bottom lip, making them both moan. Dean then takes over the dominance. Castiel allows him, too focused on his need for Dean. He swiftly takes off his pants. We grind on each other, only in boxers.
"A-are you sure about t-this?" Castiel asks, after Dean connects his lips to his collarbone.
"Fuck, Cass. Hell yes," Dean replies.
Dean pulls down the angels' boxers and uses his slick to coat his fingers. Cass moans as he pushes one finger through the tight ring of muscles in Castiel's ass. He pumps it a couple times before sticking another finger in. Then he adds a third. Dean continues to stretch me as Cass moans.
"Dean," Cass says quietly, trying to hold in his grunts and moans. "Condoms."
"Fuck," Dean whispers. He pulls his fingers out and Cass whimpers at the empty feeling. Dean grabs his pants and searches for a condom. He then drops them, without a condom in his hand. Castiel cocks his head to the side and furrows his eyebrows in confusion. "You need the knot, Cass."
He moans at the thought of Dean filling him up. Dean climbs back on top of Castiel and lubes his dick with the angels' slick. The hunter lines it up and slowly pushes in. Cass winces at the pain. Dean kisses the mating mark as he pushes in deeper, to calm the whimpering man down. After he's fully in, Cass starts to adjust.
"M-move," Cass whispers.
"Slow or fast?" Dean asks.
"Fast," Castiel moans.
He pulls out, only leaving his tip in. He slams back into the tight asshole, making Castiel moan loudly. Dean rhythmically starts to thrust at a fast pace. The hunter wraps his hand around Cass' dick and starts to move at the same rhythm. Castiel leans his head back as they both moan out. Dean continues this motion until Castiel cums. Dean rides out the Omega's high as he feels his knot forming at his base. He hits Castiel's prostate, making him gasp. He continues hitting his prostate until both of us cum together, the knot pumping semen into his ass until it drips out. Dean sinks his teeth into the mating spot without thinking. The Alpha sucks on the spot until he stops bleeding.
*Castiel's POV*
"Fuck, Cass," Dean says after realizing he marked me.
"It's okay," I whisper. "After I mark you, you'll become an angel."
"What?" Dean asks.
"Dean, you marked me. If you die, I'll die. It's the only way," I point out.
"Okay," Dean sighs. "Will I stop aging?"
"You'll keep aging, but once you hit 25 you'll stop looking different," I tell him. "I'll teach you everything about it later."
Dean nods and bares his neck to me. I mark him before sucking on the spot until he stops bleeding. "Fuck, that hurt," Dean hisses.
"Sorry, your body is trying to adjust to everything," I sigh.
"Can we go to sleep?" Dean asks quietly.
"Angels don't sleep. That's probably gonna be your last time," I point out.
Dean flips us so my head is on his chest and he's laying on his back. "I'm too tired to care right now," he admits.
•••
After the sun comes up, I decide to get up. I put my clothes on and walk to the living room. I pull my phone out of my pocket to text Gabe.
Gabe
Me: You up yet?
Gabe: I don't sleep. You know that
Me: Did you call me out yet?
Gabe: No, why?
Me: I might be late, but I'll be there.
Gabe: So you found him?
Me: Yes. We're in a cabin right now.
Gabe: Wow, nice. I want to meet him
Me: You have...
Gabe: What?
Me: You'll see at lunch, if not earlier
"Morning," Dean says, voice gravelly since he just woke up.
"Good morning, Dean," I say.
"Why aren't you in heat anymore?" He asks.
"Angels can be in heat for up to two weeks, if they don't find their Alpha. Angels only need one Alpha knot for their heat to go away, until the next month," I tell him.
"What about Alpha angels?" Dean asks.
"You'll have to talk to Gabe about that," I say. "I have to go home, so I can get another outfit for school."
"Okay, I'll park outside and then we can go get my clothes," Dean says.
"No need, my house is across the street from Singer's Salvage Yard," I tell him.
"So you've just been watching over my house for the past couple months?" Dean asks.
I cock my head to the side and furrow my eyebrows. "That is my job, Dean. To watch over the Winchester's."
"Right, I forgot," he sighs. "Let's just get back, okay?" I nod in agreement.
•••
"So, what? We just gonna walk in there and pretend like last night didn't happen?" Dean asks.
"Dean," I start. "Not now. They will know, but not about the angel part. We are not allowed to talk about it, Dean. You have to understand that. I am an Angel Of The Lord. You're still part human, at least for the time being."
"Fine, whatever." I walk into the cafeteria, Dean following. People turn to look at us. I cock my head, not understanding the reason for looks. "Cass, you need to stop doing that."
I turn to him and furrow my eyebrows. "I don't understand. Do what?"
"Cass, come on," Gabe says, pulling my arm. I turn to him and we quickly sit down. I look back to Dean, seeing him look utterly confused. He follows me and takes a seat next to me. "Dean, seriously? It was Dean the whole time?"
"Don't get me started on this whole angel crap," Dean says.
"Seriously, Cass? You turned him?" Gabe asks.
"I will die if he does. So yes, he's an angel," I tell him.
"Wait, Dean's an angel?" Sam laughs.
"Shut it, Sammy," Dean says.
"Did you two have sex?" Sam asks.
Dean spits out his drink and coughs. "Shut up, Sam. I'm not talking about this with you."
"Who topped?" Gabe asks.
"Topped?" I ask, cocking my head to the side. "If you're asking who was on top, it was Dean."
"Oh, god. Shut up, Cass," Dean groans.
"Did I say something wrong?" I ask.
"Damn angels," Dean mutters.
"Wait, everybody be quiet," Gabe says. "Castiel, when did you start talking again?"
"Last night. After Dean had found me in the park," I tell him.
"Your voice is deeper than I thought it would be," Sam says.
"I forgot what his voice sounded like. It's been probably a century since I've heard it," Gabe says.
"Woah, wait. Hold on. How old are you?" Dean asks me.
"It's been a long time, Dean. At least a couple centuries. Gabe is older than me, since he is an archangel. His vessel, however, is younger than mine. I don't see the importance of this," I say.
"Don't see the importance?" Dean asks. "Cass, you're a couple centuries old. I'm eighteen. That isn't important to you?"
"In my whole life, which you know has been awhile, I've never found my mate. An angel only gets one mate in their whole lifetime, as does a human. It's not important to me how old you are. Angels are incapable of feeling, unless they are with their mate. That's the only time. We may know right from wrong, but we were made for each other, Dean."
"Right," Dean sighs. "Still hard to wrap my head around this."
"Hey, babe," Lisa says, taking a seat next to Dean. "Missed you last night, you just ran out on me."
"Awkward," Sam says, trying to hold in a laugh.
"I, uh, had somewhere to be," Dean tells her.
"How about we go to the janitors closet and you can make it up to me?" She asks, kissing his cheek.
The light above our table shatters. It falls onto the table, and everyone screeches. Gabe grabs my arm and pulls me away from the table. "What the hell, Cass? Little warning next time," he says quietly.
Lisa clutched onto Dean's side as he stares at me in shock. Gabe sighs, realizing what just happened. "What the hell just happened, Dean?" Sam asks.
"Are you okay, Dean?" Lisa asks.
"I'm, uh, fine. You all okay?" He asks.
"What's going on in here?" We hear someone ask.
"Sam, Dean," I say. They look at me in confusion. "We need to go, now."
"How's that gonna happen?" Dean asks.
"Cass, calm down. Okay? Nothing's gonna happen," Gabe tells me.
"Dean, let's just go," Lisa says, tugging on his arm.
"No," Dean tells her. "Cass, what just happened?"
"It's nothing, Dean."
"Since when do you care about this freak? Last night you wouldn't stop saying how pathetic he was. Now you're friends?" Lisa asks.
"Don't talk about him like that," Dean says. "Things change."
"The five of you, let's go. Office, now," the principal says.
I quickly grab onto Dean while Gabe grabs Sam. The two of them stare at us in confusion as Gabe puts his free hand on my shoulder. With a flutter of our wings, we're in the parking lot outside Dean's Impala.
"What the hell just happened?" Dean asks. "How did we get out here?"
"We can teleport, Dean. It's actually flying, but you get the gist. With our wings, we can go anywhere. We had to use some of Gabe's grace, since I'm still recharging," I tell him.
"So what now? Cass breaks a school light and we teleport to the Impala. Not much we can do to fix it. What the hell happened back there anyway?" Sam asks.
"It's not of importance," I say.
"Castiel got upset because Dean-o here was shacking up with a girl last night," Gabe says. "When she asked if they wanted to do it again, it sent him over the edge. He broke the light."
"Gabe, that's not their business. I have to learn how to deal with this. It's my problem to fix."
"So he was jealous?" Sam asks.
"These...feelings, it's all new to me. Excuse me if I freak out because of it," I reply with harshness. "He told me he came from Bobby's. So naturally, his lying would make me upset too, right?"
Dean looks down at the ground as Sam nods, turning to his brother with a bit of shock. "Why'd you say you were at Bobby's?"
"He was in heat. I couldn't just tell him I was off with her, when clearly, I was meant to find him in heat," Dean replies.
"Ew, okay, I don't want mental images of you with Lisa, or Cass," Sam says.
"Let's just get in the car," Dean huffs. Sam goes to get in the passengers side, but Dean quickly stops him. "Cass, up front with me."
Everyone stares at him in confusion, but follows. Sam and Gabe are in the back, Dean driving, with me shotgun. Dean drives off. "Where are we going?" I ask quietly.
"Since you decided to break the light, we need to get away from there as fast as possible. We're gonna go to Bobby's, explain the situation," Dean tells me.
"Dean, no," I say before stopping the car to a halt. Dean stares at me in shock. "I told you, no talking about this. He might just try to kill us, Dean. We're not human, after all."
"But you're angels, good guys. Plus, if he kills you, he kills me, right?" Dean asks.
"That's true," I reply.
"Can I start Baby now?" He asks. I nod, so he does.
"This car is slow, confining," I comment, looking at the interior.
"Well I'm not going anywhere without Baby," Dean tells me.
"Can Cass and I just meet you there?" Gabe asks.
"No!" Sam and Dean say sternly.
"Why?" Gabe groans.
"Because we're going to tell Bobby at the same time. He's going to have to accept you guys either way, considering Cass turned me," Dean says.
We spend the rest of the car ride in silence. After Dean parks, we all get out and walk up to Bobby's doorstep. Dean unlocks the door and we walk in. "What are you idjits doing here?" Bobby asks.
"We, uh, came home from school early," Dean says.
"Dean, we didn't—"
"Shhh," Dean says. Bobby instantly gets up and walks over to Dean. "Woah, what?"
"You idjit, did you mate with Lisa?" Bobby asks, turning Dean's head to see his mating mark. His fingers glaze over it and I wince in pain, putting my hand over mine. Everyone looks at me with confusion. "Who's this?"
"His name is Castiel, and that's Gabriel," Sam tells him.
"Why's he holding his neck in pain?" Bobby asks. I put my arm back at my side, forgetting it was there.
"You can't touch someone else's mating mark, or else it affects the person they're mated with," Gabe tells him.
Bobby instantly steps back, looking between me and Dean. "He was with Lisa last night, no mark. They should be all lovey dovey," Bobby says. "Why is Dean acting like this is normal?"
"Bobby, I'm still me," Dean says, taking a step forward. "Cass, Gabe, put your blades on the table."
"Dean, if Naomi, or Metatron," I protest.
"Blade on the table," Dean says with his Alpha tone. I bow my head, pulling out my blade and putting it on the table next to Gabe's. "Sorry, Cass. Need him to make sure you won't hurt him."
"Dean, what's going on? What are those things?" Bobby asks, referring to the blades. "I've never seen them before in my life."
"They're angel blades. That's what Cass and Gabe are. Well, Gabe is an archangel," Sam says.
Bobby takes one glance at us before picking up a blade and lunging. I move myself to the kitchen, out of Bobby's reach as the Winchester's try to calm him down.
"Bobby, Bobby! Calm down!" Dean yells. "Listen, kill him, I die. Kill Sam, Gabe dies."
"What?!" Bobby yells. "You idjits, they're lying to you!"
"Do you really want to take that chance?" Sam asks.
Bobby huffs, looking over at me in the kitchen. "Who's that?" He asks.
I furrow my brows before turning around. "Cassie!" Gabe yells. But it's too late, Michael shoves me to the ground. He kicks my side three times before picking me up and throwing me into the counter. He quickly vanishes before Gabriel can catch him. "What the hell did he do that for?!" Gabe huffs, seeing Michael gone. He helps me sit up against the cabinets.
"I'm fine, Gabe. I'm fine," I say quietly. I look over to the doorway and see Dean standing there with tears in his eyes. "Dean, come here."
He slowly walks over to me and sits down. "Are you okay?" He asks quietly.
"I am, just confused on why he did that," I sigh. "Usually it's worse than that, so I don't know."
"I'm sorry for everything I put you through," Dean tells me.
I sigh. "You could've just asked, instead of doing all of that to me."
"Was I just supposed to randomly say 'oh you're the one Omega I can smell, what's that about?'"
"Dean, that's not what I meant," I sigh. "You beat me, sometimes until I was unconscious."
"I never left you unconscious," Dean says.
"Well all I remember from the times that you did is walking to the back of the school to heal myself and passing out. Only to wake up in the middle of the night and walk home," I say.
"Cass, I'm sorry. If I could take it back, I would," Dean tells me.
"Castiel," someone says, after I hear a flap of wings. Everyone darts their eyes to the culprit.
"Lucifer?" I ask. "What are you doing here?"
"Michael, he needs to be stopped. I need Gabriel to help me bring him back to Heaven," Lucifer says.
"And Dad chose you?" Gabe asks.
"I am his favorite son, Gabriel. There's not many of us archangels left, you know. Michael killed them," he tells us.
"Wait, what?" I ask. "How many are left?"
"Not many, I'm surprised you haven't found out yet."
"I want to help," I say. "He's been doing this for a long time, I was broken because of him."
"What? Cass, no. You can't go," he tells me.
"Dean, I'll be okay. I'll have two archangels with me, probably a dozen angels too," I tell him.
"Aw, how cute. Cassie's reassuring his Alpha," Gabe snickers.
"Gabe, let it go. I can't control it, these emotions," I sigh.
"Well isn't Dean an angel too?" Sam asks. Lucifer stifles a laugh, so I glare at him.
"You turned him, Castiel? Smart, I guess. Turn him, so he can't die. Which means neither can you," Lucifer says.
I grunt in frustration, grabbing onto Dean. Then, I put us into the Impala. "Warn me next time, will you?" Dean huffs.
"My apologies, Dean. I just needed to get out of there, us out of there. I realize I needed to explain the 'angel' bit. It's going to be a lot, Dean. You won't have any emotions apart from our bond. Not even with your brother, your car, or even your love for pie."
"How do you know all this about me?" Dean asks.
"Dean, once again, it was my job. I was put onto Earth to protect you," I say.
"And in turn, I acted like a douche. Great," Dean scoffs. "I can't believe this. I was so ignorant. You were trying to protect me."
"Dean, I did. I came on your hunts, watched from afar. When you'd get knocked out and Sam was in another room, I'd heal you and wake you up before quickly leaving. Sure, it delved into my grace replenishing, but I was protecting you."
"You? You're the reason the monster always said I was a freak, that I should be dead or hurt?" Dean asks.
"Yes, Dean. Sometimes, I would even heal Sam. Just Sam's always been more careful," I reply.
"I'm careful," Dean retorts.
"Yeah, sure," I laugh.
"Was that, a laugh?" Dean asks, smiling. I cock my head to the side in confusion. "You're too cute, I can't."
"Can't what?" I ask.
Dean laughs, shaking his head. "Your laugh, your confused head tilt. You should do it more – laugh, not be confused."
"My laugh...is cute?" I ask.
"Yes, Cass. Take the compliment. You've always been cute, but I've been in denial," Dean sighs.
"Dean, you can't go back and change it. Let's stop dwelling on the past, okay?"
"You idjits! How'd you get out there anyway?!" Bobby yells, walking towards us.
"Is he going to kill me?" I ask, moving closer to Dean.
"No," Dean laughs, pulling me into his arms. Dean quickly puts down the window so Bobby can peek in. "Hey, Bobby. Sorry, Cass got embarrassed and zapped us here."
"I thought you died," Bobby says. "Why you two all cuddled up?"
"He doesn't want you to kill him," Dean says, referring to the angel blade in his hand.
"Oh, no, I was coming to return it," Bobby laughs. Bobby turns it so the handle is close enough for me to grasp. I quickly slip it into my trench coat and sigh. "Sorry, didn't realize you'd get so spooked."
"You okay now, Cass?" Dean asks.
"I'm...fine," I say.
"You boys gonna go back inside? The three of them are talking game plans," Bobby says.
"Wait, Sam too?" Dean asks.
"Tried to tell him no. He said Castiel is going, so you're going. Gabriel is going, you're going, Sam has to go. Can't fault him for that. His Alpha, your Omega."
"Don't call me that," I say.
"What?" Dean asks.
"Just because I'm an Omega, it doesn't mean I'm weak. Only thing that could really control me is Dean's Alpha voice. That's it. I've dealt with beatings, many of them. Being an Omega doesn't mean I'm weak, it means I work harder to get my respect. I hate that title, 'Omega'."
"Cass, calm down," Dean sighs. "He didn't mean any harm by it, I promise. You're right, it's unfair what people think of Omegas. You proved them wrong, Cass. You proved me wrong."
"Dean," I sigh. "Stop, okay? You need to drop it. It's making me feel guilty, for not asking why you did it. It would've prevented it all."
"It's not your fault," Dean says. I look up at him with confusion. "I don't want you to ever think that was on you. It was my fault, all of it. I used your muteness against you, Cass. I called you a freak, pathetic. I was just looking for excuses to not like you, because I didn't want to accept I was attracted to you."
"Uh, not to ruin your little moment here, but you mind telling me why you're home from school early? I got a call from the school when I was inside, they said you needed to see the principal," Bobby says.
"Cass broke a light, came crashing down onto the table," Dean tells him.
"Because you lied and she tried to sleep with you when you're mine," I retort.
Dean chuckles softly. "You didn't have to break the light, I would've just told her I was done with her. She still thinks her and I are together."
"Change it," I tell him. Bobby sighs, walking back inside while mumbling something to himself. "Text, face to face, doesn't matter. Need to go to her house? I'll take you there. You're mine, not hers."
"I know, Cass," Dean says. "She gets home in a couple minutes. I'm driving, though. No wings crap."
I groan in frustration, moving back into my seat. "Fine, let's just go."
Dean starts up the Impala before driving off. I quickly text Gabe a message, telling him that I'll be out for about twenty minutes.
•••
"We're here," Dean tells me. "Stay in the car, okay? She's probably pretty freaked out because we vanished after a light mysteriously fell onto the table."
I sigh. "You do realize I can be there without you or her being able to see me?"
"You what?" Dean asks. "So you can spy on people?"
"It's how I hide from monsters when you're hunting. It's not like I hide in your house or something," I retort.
"So you want to spy on the conversation when I'm inside?" Dean asks.
"Dean, it would help if I was there. Even if you can't see me, you'd feel my presence now that we're mated. You'd have the support, which I know you usually get from Sam."
"Whatever, Cass. Do what you want," Dean sighs. "Just don't break anything, control your emotions or go back to the car."
"Deal," I reply. I make myself invisible before walking next to Dean as he approaches the front door. He rings the doorbell, and Lisa opens up.
"Dean? What the hell happened in the cafeteria? You vanished, like legit vanished. Along with the freak, his brother, and Sam," Lisa says.
"Can I come in?" Dean asks. "There's a lot I need to tell you." Lisa nods, so he walks in. I move myself to her living room as they walk into it. I stand in one spot, leaning against the wall as I listen to the conversation.
"What happened in the cafeteria?" Lisa repeats.
"You wouldn't believe me," Dean sighs. "So, uh, I should probably start off with, we're over."
"What?" Lisa asks. "But we're mates!" I furrow my eyebrows in confusion as Dean covers his mouth to stifle a laugh.
He clears his throat before speaking again. "No, we're not." Dean then shows her his mark that I gave him.
Lisa gasps. "What? When did you get that? I didn't give you that!"
"I got it last night, Lisa. I, uh, spent it with someone else. They're really special to me. Honestly, I didn't realize I marked them until after it happened."
"Who is she?" Lisa asks. I bite my lip to hold in my laugh.
"Uh, it's more like he," Dean says quietly.
"What?!" Lisa asks. "That fag Castiel made you gay, with all the time you spent beating him."
"Excuse me?" Dean asks, harshness present in his voice. Lisa looks at him with shock. "I regret ever hitting him. And to call him a fag? You don't even know him."
"Why are you all of a sudden defending him?" Lisa asks. "You should hate him for being weak, pathetic, a mute."
"Well if I was in his situation, I'd go mute too. It's easier than watching what you say 24/7," Dean retorts. I can't help but smile at him getting protective. "I'm defending him because he's mine. I'm his. We're mated, together."
A small gasp escapes her lips. "What?" She whispers. Then, she starts to laugh. "Of course, it was bound to happen. You'd talk about him all the time, whenever you'd say something bad about him you'd have that look of regret in your eyes. I'm just surprised it actually happened."
"Lisa, there's still a lot I have to explain to you," Dean sighs. Lisa looks at him with confusion. "The reason I vanished, was because of Cass, well, Gabe. Cass was depleted, so it was technically Gabe. Let's not get into that right now." I cover my face, shaking my head and stifling my laugh. "They took Sam and I to the Impala, without walking."
"You teleported?" She asks, trying not to laugh.
"Not exactly," Dean sighs. "Cass, can you come here?"
I sigh, watching Lisa look around her. "Uh, there's no one else here?"
"Cass?" Dean asks. I walk over to Dean, sitting down next to him. I put my hand on his shoulder and he jumps. "Dammit, Cass! Don't scare me like that."
"Are you going insane?" Lisa asks. I make myself visible and she jumps out of her chair. Dean glares at me, so I roll my eyes. "How did he do that? Was he there the whole time?"
"I was, uh, by the doorway," I tell her. "I'm sorry for scaring you, Dean. You called?"
"I, uh, don't know how to explain all this angel crap," Dean says.
"Angel?" Lisa asks, sitting back down. "Is that what he is? Making you vanish and him appearing out of thin air?"
"No, the vanishing was our wings, Gabe's wings. He's an archangel, I'm an angel. Dean is, uh, an angel too," I tell her.
"He's what?" She asks.
"Cass, you're scaring her," Dean warns.
"I'm not good at this," I reply.
"You're an idiot, Cass," Lucifer chuckles. I look over to the doorway to see Sam, Gabe, and Lucifer trying to stifle their laughter.
"Lucifer, this is Lisa. Dean's...ex?"
"Ouch," Luci laughs. "Surprised you haven't broken another light."
"I made a deal with Dean to control my emotions or go back to the car. Plus, her reaction was too funny to get mad at," I shrug.
"Excuse me?" Lisa asks.
"You've awoken the beast," Sam mutters.
"It was funny? How would you like it if you thought you were mated to someone who was actually with someone else?" Lisa asks.
"I, uh, that's impossible for me," I tell her. "Dean, I'm uncomfortable."
Everyone besides Lisa laughs at my response. I groan in frustration. "You'll get used to telling people, Cass," Lucifer tells me.
"Go to Michael, Lucifer," I scoff.
"Michael, as in the Devil?" Lisa asks.
"He's been living with me and Gabe," I say. She looks at me with shock. "We've tried sending him back to Hell, tried to kill him, but it never happens. Dad doesn't want to help, says he has 'faith' that we can do it on our own."
"Get out," she says. "You're insane, all of you. Get out, now."
I grab onto Dean, and we're back in the Impala. "Well, that went best it could've," Dean says. Then, the other three are in the Impala. "Why'd you come?"
"Because you left without us telling you the game plan. It needs to happen after, uh, Sam becomes one of us," Gabe says. "He'll become an archangel, since that's what I am."
"Wait, what? No freakin' way I'm letting you turn my little brother into one of you," Dean scoffs as he pulls Baby out of the driveway and onto the road.
"Is this because Sam will be more powerful than you if he does?" I ask.
Gabe, Lucifer, and Sam start to laugh as Dean looks at me with confusion. "What? No!"
"I can tell when you're lying, Dean," I reply.
"Anyway, as I was saying, after Sam is turned we can defeat Michael," Gabe says.
•••
The next month passes by. Sam became an Archangel, as expected. The four of us spent the whole month training for the battle with Michael. Occasionally, Lucifer would stop by and see how things were going, or offer some tips.
When we fought Michael, it took a couple days. We eventually won, and Michael died.
Right now, we're out celebrating the win. Just the five of us.
"Hey, Ellen!" Dean yells. I glare at him for being so loud.
"Yes?!" Ellen shouts.
"Can we get more?!" Dean asks loudly.
"Jo!" Ellen yells. "Make those boys some more to drink!"
"Okay, mom!" Jo replies.
"Dean," I say. "Do they know?"
"Not that I know of. But they're smart, so they might," Dean replies.
"It's so crowded!" Lucifer whines.
"Get over it," Sam retorts. Gabriel smiles and wraps an arm around Sam. Sam leans so his body is right next to his mates'.
"You're cute, you know," Dean whispers in my ear. I flush, looking down at the table. He chuckles and kisses my temple.
Jo sets down all of the drinks and walks back to the counter. "To us, for beating the devil," Lucifer says, raising his glass.
"For beating the devil," we all reply. We raise our glasses and clink them together.
•••
There might have been some rough patches, but we made it through. As long as I have my family – Sam, Dean, Gabriel, and Lucifer – I will always be strong. They gave me the strength to pull through.
Even though Dean and I didn't get off to a good start, he knows what he did was wrong and changed. He made it up to me. The past can't be changed, so he did the best he could.
We ended up transferring schools, so we wouldn't have to be around everyone who already knew us. It was the fresh start we all needed.
THE END
