Chap.35

MICHAEL POV

_______________________

"What do you think you are doing?" Ashely asks me with her arms crossed and placed against her chest.

"Trying to see my wife." I say innocently.

"You're not to see the bride in her dress yet!" Ashely said.

"Okay, okay." I say.

My shoulders slump in disappointment. I walk down the steps of her trailer. I stuff my hands in my pockets.

They already finished dressing me but didn't do my makeup yet. I wanted to do it with Ava but all well.

I walk to my trailer and I open the door sighing.

"Lets get that Makeup on, right honey?" Karen my makeup artist said with a huge smile on her face.

I like Karen I really do. But she always does this weird thing, whenever she does my makeup she gets really close to my face, and it gets uncomfortable. She is also really clingy. I'm okay with that though. I like a good hug.

After doing my makeup Karen gives me a big kiss on my cheek. I smiled at her and took a good look in the mirror. I had on my regular dance shoes and I was wearing black dress pants with a black jacket and and a white t-shirt under.

"You're going to be late honey!" Karen said.

She pushed me out the door smiling. She gave me another kiss on the cheek.

"Good luck." She said.

"Thank you." I say.

I turn around and I walk to the church.

I walk in and I see everyone already seated. The ceremony was starting in 10 minutes. I just wish I can see Ava.

I feel like I'm an animal in a cage and I need my jungle, Ava. I sigh as I walk down the aisle.

"Not yet!" I hear someone hiss to me.

I turn to my left and I see it was Maya.

"You come in through those doors on the side Michael." She said.

"Okay." I say.

I awkwardly walk out the huge doors and I walk the other way.

I see the bridesmaids there.

They looked like old friends of Ava's. I don't know them.

"Hey." I say.

They all giggle when they see me.

"I love you!" A girl with blonde hair squeals.

Oh yeah, I'm still Michael Jackson.

"I love you more." I say.

After I say this they all squeal and jump on me.

"WE DON'T WANT TO KILL THE GROOM NOW?!" I hear someone yell.

Everyone stops and looks behind me. I looked behind me as well. There was Joseph.

"Shouldn't you ladies be up front?" Joseph tells them.

They all mumble not so nice words and walk away.

"Hello Joseph." I say.

"Hello Michael." He responds.

There is an awkward silence between us. He finally speaks up.

"Good luck." He says.

"Thank you." I say.

"Michael, what your mother said about me changing, I meant it." Joseph said.

"I know." I say.

"Do you accept it?" He asked.

I sighed.

"After all those things you did to me when I was younger, I will have a hard time, because everytime I see you, I see the beatings and the hell you put me through." I say.

"Michael, I love you. And I don't expect you to instantly forgive me, but please, try?" Joseph asked. I heard a ping of desperation and sadness.

"I love you too Jo- Daddy." I say.

I look back at Joseph and I see tears in his eyes. I awkwardly hug him.

Mark Lester my best friend and my best man finally pops up.

"Sorry. Had some business to do." Mark said.

"Well I will be seeing you later Michael." Joseph said patting my back.

And he walked away. I felt like I should have said more.

Mark smiled at me.

"Its starting." He said.

And I walked in through the doors.

_______________________________

I tried my best to control my anxiousness.

I watched as  my mom and dad walked down the ise, then Ava's mom and Ava's grandfather. After what feels like 200 people walk down the aisle, Ashely finally comes bearing the rings on a soft velvet pillow. She looked excited. She made sure to wave, flip her hair, and blow kisses.

I saw Madonna in the row of guest. I couldn't help but bring her. She looked so happy when I told her the news.

Finally the music started playing louder. Ava was coming. In her dress. This was to be perfect. I smiled as the double doors opened for her. She came out. She was wearing a very long white dress. The bow wrapped around her waist on her dress was my favorite color. Red.

I looked at her face. She looked beautiful. She is beautiful. But now, she was mine. All mine.

She walked alone since her father is dead. Her grandfather insisted he bring her down. But she wanted to go alone.

I had to hold back the urge to kiss her when she made it on the stand.

"You look amazing." I whisper.

"You're not so bad you're self hot stuff." She said winking.

"Did Ashely tell you to say that?" I ask.

"Yeah." She said.

We both burst out laughing. That interrupted the ceremony. We quickly stopped when we noticed everyone was staring at us wide eyed.

The music died down and the priest started to preach. I was pretty much muting everything he said out because I wanted all my focus on Ava.

The priest cleared his throat at me and I went back to reality.

"At this time, I’ll ask you, Michael, and you, Ava, to face each other & take each other’s hands. Michael will you take Ava to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live? "

"I do." I say in almost a whisper holding Ava's hands in mine and staring into her violet eyes.

"Ava, will you take Michael to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." Ava says staring back into my eyes.

I couldn't wait to kiss her.

"If anyone here has any reasons as to why these two should not be joined in Holy Matrimony, let him speak now or forever hold his peace." The priest said.

The priest motioned for Ashely to come with the rings. Ashely came up to us smiling.

"Congrats." She whispered when we took the rings.

"May the groom please place the ring on the bride's left hand?" The priest said.

Ava was still looking at me as I picked up her hand.

"Your engagement ring." I whisper to her.

"OH!" She whispered.

She took the engagement ring off and placed it on the right hand.

"Okay we're good." She said.

I put it on her finger and she smiled.

I put mine on by myself.

"You may now kiss the bride." The priest said after waiting a moment.

I threw myself at Ava. I kissed her with relief and happiness. She made a squeaking noise and pushed me back.

"Michael. Wow." She said impressed.

I smiled. She giggled a little. Everyone got up and applauded. I twirled Ava in my arms.
