Chapter 8
******Fujizaki High******
"You mean to tell me," the man started with a crazed smile "the ten of you, weren't enough for one d*mn kid!?!"
The ten seniors could be seen shaking uncontrollably where they stood. They didn't dare raise their head lest they anger the man in front of them further. Never mind getting beat up after this, they were sure to lose their life permanently if they so much as cough!
"B-boss it's t-true! The kid really vanished into thin air!" the stronger-willed out of the ten argued with a bit of a stutter. "We t-tried to check the t-tapes b-but the f-footage was b-broken..."
The man's gaze suddenly zeroed in on the unfortunate senior. There was so much killing intent on it that the poor guy almost fainted on the spot.
"Broken you say?" the man asked with a sadistic smile.
Not long, several images flashed in the seniors' heads, none of which are at the least pleasant. One of the seniors couldn't handle the fear and wet himself immediately, another two was threatening to have their knees buckled and faint on the spot.
"Ul lighten up, can't you see you're scaring them?" a voice said amusingly from the doorway. The man called Ul effectively shifted his attention away from the poor seniors and focused on the newcomer.
"I told you not to call me that." the cold man said with a huff "What the hell are you doing here anyway? Aren't you supposed to meet up with Yolan?".
The newcomer surveyed the seniors in front of him further, sighing in his heart. His friend really had a way with words, he thought.
"Yeah Yolan was a no show so I just baled." the man said casually. Just then a thought came up to him and he spoke once again with a chuckle directed at the seniors "Speaking of, why don't you guys just check the back-up cameras we set up last summer?"
With these few words, the seniors stiffened as their hearts pounded faster with hope. Back-up cameras? We had back-up cameras the entire time!? What was the use of them getting a verbal beating from this monster when they had these all along?!
"Hm." the man named Ul said with a thought, "I forgot we had those, thanks tiny."
The seniors all wanted to vomit blood hearing the cold man say it so casually.
The newcomer's face twitched with annoyance at the endearment as he spoke again.
"Tinsy-weensy problem though," he said "The cameras only cover the garden and the parking lot. Dunno how much help that can do but-" the man casually glanced back at the seniors, waiting for a reaction. The seniors automatically stood up straighter and with determined gazes said a bunch of things all at the same time.
"Plenty of help haha!" one said.
"Woah boss consider this done!"
"This is more than enough Boss!"
"As expected, boss's friends are indeed helpful!"
"Woah such magnanimity! We are lucky to have met you boss's friend!"
"Yes yes we must go now to retrieve such valuable info!"
"Be back later boss!"
With these, the seniors all scurried hurriedly out the door in break-time speed. Ul can't help but have a twitch in his eye. His friend just laughed full blown once the two of them were the only ones left at the club room they occupied.
"They- haha" the man said in between laughs "didn't even ask where the-" another laugh "clips are!!"
Another series of laughter ensued before a minute has passed. After wiping the tears from excessive laughing, the man straightened up and pulled something from his pockets. Ul glanced at his so-called friend and saw the circular disk as he handed it to him with a smile.
"Here, already got it for you boss" the man said teasingly, before turning to leave. Not before laughing once more even as he closed the door, leaving Ul holding the cd in his hands with a frown.
A moment later, as he watched the contents of the disk, Ul displayed an undiscernible emotion in his otherwise cold face. He was tempted to break the screen as he thought this might be one of the pranks of his earlier friend. However, when he thought long and hard about it, even his friend didn't have the audacity to make something as atrocious as this piece of sh*t.
As the clip ended, Ul stared blankly outside the window of the empty club room with one thought in his mind.
What the f*ck?!
******Meanwhile******
The twins sat in silence at their usual spot. During this time, most of the students would gather along in the cafeteria, thus other places would be more less deserted.
The sun was shining, but the shade of the tree was more than enough to provide them with some sort of comfort. That is, until a figure suddenly blocked Hana's line of sight, Hanoi was too busy typing on his phone to realize that his front was rather occupied.
The man was glaring daggers at them, as if they offended his entire family. The figure however, just stood there wordlessly. The twins stared at the newcomer with a bored look, looking at the newcomer as if he was retarded.
If he was going to say something, just say it then, they thought.
"You!" the man pointed at Hana with a dignified huff of indifference. He was looking at the two as if they were merely dirt under his polished shoes. The nerve of this people to even stand before him, the man thought. He didn't consider the fact that he was the one who approached the two in the first place.
Hana stared back unblinkingly with a cold look. "Nani?" (What)
The man's face twitched with annoyance.
"Where did you take the boy?" the man said through gritted teeth, cutting to the chase.
This question however made the youngest Kiyamura's gaze turn colder. Such noticeable change in the girl's gaze made the man before her unconsciously tremble with fear. The man watched as the young woman before him stood up slowly, the air surrounding her seemed to be suffocating him. With a cold smile the woman spoke.
"What is your relation to the boy?" she said.
"A friend? Relative? Lover perhaps?" she continued. The man stared with caution as the girl enumerated all these things with her fingers. Annoyance flashed in his face coupled with anger and a bit of impatience.
"Cut the crap!" he shouted. "Tell me where he is or I'll have your entire family buried along with him!"
Hana's actions stopped.
The man resisted the chill that ran down his spine when her gaze finally connected to his. With a few simple words, the man finally saw what he assumed would be the devil in sheep's clothing.
"My family?" the young woman spoke with a sneer. It only took seconds before the man saw a flash of a shadow and his eyes rolled at the back of his head, his vision turning black. Before he lost consciousness, he saw two figures looming over him, a blank look occupying their faces.
******Principal's Office*******
"How can you just let them do things like these freely?!" the adviser said exasperatedly as he pointed to a scene from the window. "I didn't take you for a coward."
The man seated at the principal's table only chuckled coldly before speaking with a bone-chilling smile.
"Same as I thought you to place your life first before running your mouth Yuji."
The infamous adviser gulped before averting his gaze, realizing his mistake. "Forgive me principal, my mistake."
Mr. Watanashi, the principal, only gave him a cold smile in return. Afterwards, the man casually fixed his tie as he stood up to observe the figures down below in his window, in silence. It was true he was lenient with the Kiyamuras, he wasn't going to deny it. But it definitely wasn't because he was afraid, no. He was simply grateful to the man that saved him years ago.
Him being lenient to that man's siblings was simply a debt repaid.
Mr. Watanashi raised his hand to close the blinds before him before resuming back in his sit in silence. "See yourself out once your done." was all he said as he resumed the work he had in front of him. Yuji stayed rooted in his spot gritting his teeth in indignance.
He clenched his hands till they turned pale as he bowed begrudgingly, and left without another word.
F*cking Kiyamuras remain to be the biggest thorn in his side.
******Kiyamura Household******
This was the second time Akane felt his face twitch uncontrollably.
Was this a new-found habit of his dear sister? Bringing unconscious men in their home? Like it wasn't bad enough, why did she have to carry them bridal style all the time?
"Hana-chan~" Akane said with a twitch of a smile, "aren't you going to greet older brother before you go in?"
It was as if the young woman didn't even see him in the first place, only when he greeted her that he did. She looked at him impassively, and bowed with the man still in her hands.
"Konnichiwa Akane-nii san." (Good-afternoon Brother Akane) she said with the bow. She proceeded to walk leisurely once done inside the house, but unlike the first time, she turned before she arrived at the living room, heading towards the family basement.
Hanoi followed closely behind, however he got stopped by Akane as he made his way inside the door. Akane can't help but feel a sense of de ja vu with this scene. Akane gave his little brother a look before the younger Kiyamura gave him a deadpan stare and spoke simply.
"Moto bōifurendo" (Ex-boyfriend) Hanoi said, before proceeding pass him and heading to join his sister in the basement.
Did this brat think he was going to fall for the same tricks!?
Akane felt an impending migraine coming. Well at least his little sister wasn't so angry anymore. Akane wondered if it had something to do with her new found hobby....
Amidst the dark spacious room, a lone chair could be seen placed at the middle in the otherwise empty room. A figure tied to the chair, unmoving as it was unconscious. A resounding splash could be heard instantly waking up the tied individual. Ul woke up with a start as he struggled to adjust his eyes to his surroundings.
"Where.." he trailed off. A figure slowly emerged from the darkness, standing in front of him illuminated by a single lightbulb atop him.
"You have no idea what I'm capable of!" he bellowed as he struggled further in his bindings. "Once I get out of these I'll have your entire-". The young woman simply smiled sadistically before bending down and locking his face in a tight grip, cutting the man's next words effectively. Ul's eyes instantly widened with indignance. How dare you trash place your filthy hands on me!?
"Shinda otoko no kuchi wa chinmoku to onaji kurai yoi." (A dead man's mouth is as good as silenced) Hanoi muttered faintly as he leaned casually in the adjacent wall. Hanoi gripped his phone tighter in his hand, nearly crushing the little gadget, a bit of anger seeping out from his gaze. However, the emotion was gone the next second as he averted his gaze back to his phone and resumed typing, his face a mask of coldness and aloof.
"You dare threaten my Kiyamura Family?" the woman said.
Ul finally stopped struggling as he gazed stubbornly at the girl in front of him. His face was already turning numb from the young woman's grip.
"Do you know the price to pay for going against a Yakuza family?" the woman let go of his face then, turning around so only her back faced him as she continued.
"I'll tell you." she said simply.
"First, you will never see the light of the day, the darkness will be your friend masking the cuts that will accumulate on your skin. Every inch will be covered, not a spot will be ignored."
"Second? Your soul will be broken piece by piece as each day becomes a labor even for a single breath. You know that happens when your lungs give out after someone beats a human lung just enough."
"Third, you'd wish to you can just pass out so you won't have the pleasure of seeing my face every d*mn day I trample on your pathetic useless body."
"And lastly, at the end of it all," she said staring him down "dying would be considered kindness on our part."
Ul sat frozen with fear. Every inch of his body was screaming at him to do something but he lay motionless. He doubted he even had enough strength to lift a finger. He didn't dare make any sound lest he nails the final nail in his coffin. This girl said she... was from a yakuza family?
What did he get himself into!?
Jut then a sudden light flooded the dark basement. Ul squinted with the sudden brightness as he saw a tall figure approach the woman with a friendly smile.
"Hana-chan! I made cupcakes for you~" the man said, who with a closer look Ul noticed to be carrying a tray full of the pastries.
Ul wondered if the intense fear he felt finally broke his brain and made him crazy. How else could he explain what he was seeing!? He resisted the urge to vomit a mouthful of blood.
"Oh~" the man said, as if finally seeing the figure bound in the middle, "You didn't say you had a guest over~"
The young woman's eye twitched with annoyance before speaking through gritted teeth.
"Akane....." I'll kill you!!!! Hana wanted to say, but alas blood is thicker than water...
The bound figure finally couldn't take what was happening and fainted on the spot. Hanoi could be seen shaking his head in disappointment at his brother's antics, muttering under his breath.
"Baka na aniki." (Stupid brother)
