~~~5 Days Later At A Ruby Kindergarten

Defect: I am intimidated.

Jasper was giving a bunch of Rubies a speech.

Jasper: And while you may die, you can die knowing you fought for a great cause. To avenge our fallen Diamond.

Japser sighed.

Eyeball: Are you ok Jasper?

Jasper: I'm fine, thank you.

Jasper then saw Defect and pointed at him.

Jasper: You.

All the Rubies looked at him.

Defect: *gulp* Y-yes?

Jasper: Step forward.

Defect reluctantly stepped forward. Jasper walked over to him and crouched down to his level.

Jasper: ...I haven't seen you around.

Defect: I've only been alive for a week.

Jasper looked him up and down.

Jasper: You don't look like any other Ruby.

Defect: I'm.....I'm defective.

That made all the Rubies gasp.

Jasper: That explains your male appearance. You don't seem like much anyway. Do you even know what you're doing?

Defect: Yeah, shatter the enemy, win the war.

Jasper: At least you're smart.

Defect: ...Although I think shattering is a bit much-

Jasper: Are you questioning The Diamonds methods?!

Defect: N-no! I was just-

Jasper: Be quiet.

Defect shut his mouth. His squad got nervous for his life.

Jasper: Who's side are you on?

Defect: H-Homeworld's side?

Jasper: Then why are you so keen on keeping those traitors alive? You batter get your head together, understood?

Defect: ...I-

Jasper: Where's your gem?

Defect turned around and showed his gem. Jasper suddenly forced him down, even with his strength, he didn't want to push her off. That would just get him in more trouble. His body let off heat in his panic.

Jasper: Oh, are you scared?

Defect didn't respond.

Jasper: Let this...thing be a demonstration of what happens....

She summoned her helmet.

Jasper: Of those who are too WEAK!

Captain: JASPER!!!!

Everyone looked at Captain.

Captain: If...if-if may interrupt, I don't shattering him is a good idea.

Jasper: ...Why?

Army: He's a defect yes, but his defection gave him different gem DNA.

Navy: He's super strong.

Eyeball: And super fast.

Leggy: ...Wait what was I supposed to say?

Jasper looked at Defect with curiosity, and let him up.

Jasper: Demonstrate.

Defect: O-*gulp* okie-dokie.

Defect ran off using his speed and all the Rubies stared in amazement. He came back.

Defect: S-see?

Jasper: Impressive, but what about this strength of yours?

Defect walked over to Jasper and lifted her with ease.

Ruby1: He is strong.
He put her back down.

Jasper: So you could've pushed me off earlier?

Defect: Yeah I-I guess I could.

Jasper: But you didn't, that means you know your place, good. Get back in line.

Defect walked back to his spot and mouthed "thank you" to his squad.

~~~Ruby Ship

The squad was on course for Earth, it was an awkwardly quiet ride. Then Army spoke.

Army: That was stupid Defect!

Defect: What? I just said-

Eyeball: That's it! You just need to keep your mouth shut.

Defect: I can't speak my mind?

Navy: Not if you wish to stay alive.

Leggy: Wait what happened?

Captain: Defect, new rule! Only we do the talking from now on, understand?

Defect weakly nodded and sighed in annoyance.

Captain: Good, now get focused, we are infiltrating a rebel outpost, get ready squad!

Defect sunk in his chair sadly.

Defect: [mumble] I just want everyone to be happy.

~~~Earth

The squad split into two groups. The group Defect had was him, Leggy, and Navy. They were walking to the rebel outpost.

Navy: So Defect, what do you want in a lover?

Defect: ...Why do you want to know that?

Navy: Oh...no reason....

Leggy: Huh? Wha?

Defect: Well...I don't really care. As long as she likes me for who I am, I'm good.

Navy: Nice mindset.

Leggy elbowed Navy lightly and gestured to a big rock. Navy smirked and nodded.

Navy: There might be a secret entrance under that rock, Leggy and I will go check.

Navy and Leggy went over to the rock.

Navy: [whispering] You remember your lines?

Leggy: Uuuuhhh....

Navy: [whispering] We're supposed act all weak and helpless, remember?

Leggy nodded, and the two "tried" to lift the rock to no avail. They stopped "trying".

Navy: [overly dramatic] Oh woe is us! We can't lift the rock. We're just to weak and fragile!

Leggy: [robotic acting] Act. Helpless. If only. There was someone. Who was. Super..............strong. Fake. Crying.

The two fake cried.

Defect: Don't worry ladies, I got this.

Defect walked over to the rock and lifted it with ease. Navy smiled.

Navy: *sigh* So strong.

Defect: What?

Navy: Huh?

Defect: ...Ok...hey look, a secret entrance!

Navy: Wait really?

Navy and Leggy looked to see that Defect was telling the truth.

Navy: ...Huh.

The three of them went inside.

Leggy: It's kinda dark in here.

Defect activated his fire aura. Leggy and Navy did the same. The place lit up a bit. It looked like a tunnel of sorts.

Defect: Come, let's follow the trail. Stay close.

Navy and Leggy clung to one of Defect's arms. Both of them were kinda scared.

Defect: Don't worry, we'll be-

Captain: Let us go!

Defect: Captain?!

Defect was suddenly knocked down.

Leggy: Defect-*gasp*

Leggy was suddenly stabbed in her back and poofed. Before Navy could even process what was happening, her head got cut off and she poofed as well. Defect looked up to see a Amethyst.

Amethyst: Night night.

That was the last thing he heard before she poofed him.

~~~5 Minutes Later

Defect Finally reformed. He was in a cell with Eyeball.

Eyeball: About freaking time! Help me get out here!

Defect: How?

Eyeball: Uh, hello?! You have super strength and speed!

Defect: These walls are indestructible, and speed isn't gonna help much.

Eyeball: Ugh! This is why I said we should have let another Ruby squad take the defect, but no! We just had to take this...dumb, stupid, worthless, little-

She turned to Defect, who looked like he wanted to cry.

Eyeball: Oh and now you're gonna cry. Great, now you're a crybaby too!

Defect walked over to Eyeball, and took her hands. Any other person, she would have socked them and shoved them off. But the moment Defect touched her, she felt less angry.

Defect: Look, I know you have some anger issues, but you need to control them. Count to 10.

Eyeball was a little skeptical.

Eyeball: ...Eh, what do I have to lose? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10...now what?

Defect: Again.

Eyeball sighed and counted again, and this time, she felt a little calmer.

Defect: Keep going.

Eyeball did just that, she kept counting and counting. Her grip on Defect's hands loosened.

Eyeball: What? I feel so...calm.

Defect: I'm glad to hear, just count when your mad ok?

Eyeball smiled.

Eyeball: Yeah...I like this, being calm.

Defect: Well don't get comfortable, I have a plan.

~~~1 minute later

The Amethysts down the hall heard shouting.

Defect: Oh so you blame me for this?!

Eyeball: Well it's clearly your fault, you are a defect after all.

Defect: Why you...GAH!

Eyeball: AAAAHHHH!

The Amethysts rushed down to the cell to see Defect trying to punch Eyeball.

Amethyst1: Hey, break it up!

The Amethysts pulled off Defect, and he stabbed her with his spider leg weapon, poofing her. Before the other could react, Eyeball stabbed her with her chisel, poofing her. They bubbled there gems and sunt them away.

Defect: Come on, let's find the others!

The two of them went on their way.
