It's time to think of our ancestors, 

research our family tree,

to see the struggles they faced

so today we could be free.

We must never forget our roots,

they make us what we are today,

let's cherish all our history

and memories along the way.

National Roots Day is on December 23rd each year,it is time to celebrate our family history, a time to learn of the struggles and hardships our ancestors had to face to give us a better life. Why not sit down with an older relative and let them explain how things were so different when they were your age, what they have to say is so important as is sharing with others.
