You were walking down the street in Winchester, it was late at night and it was raining more than you could imagine, you had stopped trying to stay inside when the thunder began, you loved storms too much to stay at home during the night.

You walked past a building and saw a single window with light coming from the inside "oi! Why are you walking in the rain without an umbrella?" Someone shouted over the sound of the raindrops falling, you looked up and saw a guy at the window, he had brown hair and wore a stripped red and black t-shirt "come over here, I'll be at the door in a minute" you hesitated but walked to the building's door, where the guy met you "come in, I'm Matt" you reluctantly followed the boy inside and closed the door behind you, an old man walked to Matt and he told the elder something you didn't get and the man left

You continued walking and started thinking, wasn't this an orphanage? Was this Matt guy an orphan? You suddenly felt bad for him, but he seemed happier that orphan kids in movies, you got inside a room, he sat on the bed and patted the spot next to him, you walked over, amazed by the room, it was a mix between a nerd's room and a gamer's, and you liked that

"So, why were you out this late and with this kind of weather? Weren't you cold?" Matt asked as you sat on the other side of the bed.

You chuckled "I don't know if I should be answering that question, it sounds like the typical thing the psychopath asks in a horror movie" his smile widened "what?"

There was a knock on the door and the old man walked in with a stack of neatly folded blankets "thank you Watari" Matt said "Mello isn't coming today, is he?" He asked before the man could leave.

"No, he'll come back tomorrow" you glanced at the boy and Watari left, leaving you and Matt alone again.

"So, you like horror movies?" He asked, you nodded and he got up, walking to a shelf and taking a box, walking back to you "which one is your favourite? I may have it"

"You don't even know my name" you stated

Matt smiled, his eyes shining more than before "I don't think I need to know your name just to watch a movie, besides, you're cute, that's all I need to know for now" you felt yourself blushing and smiled at him, he was indeed cute "favourite movie?" He questioned again

"Sinister, without a doubt" you answered, he took the movie out of the box and put it in the DVD player "I'm (Y/N), by the way" you told him as he sat on the bed again, you moved next to him and the movie started, the sound of the storm still intense through the window.

"(Y/N)..." Matt mumbled to himself "I'm glad to have met you today"

*Time Skip*

"Mello, Mello, Mello, Mello" Matt said happily "Mello, Mells" the blond boy sighed in annoyance "it's happening! Today's the day!" Matt jumped on his bed and started bouncing on it.

Mello took his phone and began recording the other boy "let's see how long it takes before you hit your head on the cie-"

"OW!"

"Ling" Mello finished before brusting into laughter "you alright, Matty?" He laughed stopping the video and checking on his friend.

"Am I dead?" He asked as you walked through the door.

It had been two years since you first met, and today you were going with him and Mello to watch Sinister 2 to the cinema, you had met Mello the morning after Matt since you two fell asleep watching Annabelle after watching Sinister and The Conjuring.

"Yep, you are" you answered giggling "Mello, let's go, we'll plan the funeral after we get back" you and Mello headed to the door and you heard something being thrown at Mello "oh, look, he came back to life"

"You fucker" Mello muttered, you laughed and Matt walked to you. You two had feelings for each other,  but only Mello knew... and he had a plan.

"Matt, I bet 5£ you get jumpscared before I do" you said as the three of you got in the car "same to you, Mello"

"You wish, darling" Matt argued "you'll be clinging onto me just with that creepy ad thing"

"I may, but it won't be because I'm scared, trust me" you said, Mello laughed, you two had been flirting like this for over a year, and nothing had happened yet, and Mello wanted it to happen more than you two "I hope you're willing to hear me fangirling for days after watching this, guys"

"(Y/N), we wouldn't be friends if we couldn't, remember how you were after watching The Woman in Black?" Mello said, you chuckled, remembering that day.

"Oh my God, (Y/N)! It's movie night! Hurry up!" Matt called from his window, ever since you had first met about a year ago, every Tuesday you went to the orphanage, he would call you from his window- being an impatient little shit- and you would watch a couple of horror movies before falling asleep. Mello was also there most of the times, which just made it better, but since you told him how you felt about Matt, he would tease you every now and then, making it obvious that he wanted something to happen between you and his friend.

You went to the door and Matt was already there, as usual "Matt, it's 4pm, movie night doesn't start until night time" you laughed as you walked to his room, which he now shared with Mello. He opened the door and the usual blanket fort was already built up, Mello sitting inside "Mells, you couldn't contain him for any longer? I'm slightly disappointed by your lack of effort... although I feel like what you lacked this time was patience"

The blond boy came out of the fort and walked to you, "I literally tied him to the bed, I don't even know how he released himself" Mello complained, you laughed and turned to Matt "I was about to kll him"

"I wasn't that annoying, you've seen me worse, Mells" Matt walked to the fort and sat inside of  it "and it's my turn to try to scare (YN)" Matt and Mello had been trying to find a movie that would frighten you ever since the day you met, but they just couldn't seem to find the perfect film, "I have found this one and some of my friends told me that it was the scariest they had seen" you and Mello walked to him and sat down.

"Try to scare me once and you will both regret it" you threatened knowing what Matt's plan was "what's the movie?"

"Uh..." Matt said looking for the cover "The woman in black" you had heard some stuff about that movie, everyone said it was terrifying, but they all said the same about the other horror films out there "can we start?" He asked impatiently.

"No" you and Mello said at the same time "Matt, it's not dark yet" you laughed as the brunette pouted "we can play a videogame or something in the meantime" you suggested, the two boys nodded and you played Mario Kart for a couple of hours until it started getting dark outside.

"Movie time! Fuck Mario Kart!" Matt shouted, you were shocked that he'd rather watch a movie than play a videogame, but you and Mello just went along with it.

Two hours later the movie was over, Mello pouted "how do you do that? You're not human, (Y/N), what are you?"

"I'm a fallen angel" you laughed, Matt looked at you and chuckled, knowing that it was time to rant about the movie for hours.

Mello had seen the movie online the night before just so he could do what he had planned without missing the film, about 5 minutes before it ended, Mello got up "I'll meet you outside when the movie is over" he whispered to Matt, who nodded.

The movie ended and you left the theater, waiting for Mello, it was dark outside, the street was empty, no one but you and Matt was there, at least that's what you thought "hey babe, wanna go for a ride?" A male voice asked, someone grabbed your wrist, forcing you to turn to them.

A man, a few years older than you, stood there, inches away from you, you tried to pull away, but he tightened his grip "come on, it'll be fun" he smirked.

You could defend yourself most of the times, but this time you were frozen "get away from her" Matt said getting closer to you, the man looked at him "let go of her" he said darkly, and, if you weren't in this situation, you would've melted.

The man took a razor from his back pocket, but Matt didn't step back "what are you gonna do about it?" Matt glanced at you and punched the man on the face, you were freed, but you didn't dare to move in case something happened to Matt.

"You want to know what I'm going to do?" Matt questioned as the man stood up again, his nose and bottom lip bleeding "I'm going to kill you if I see you near her again" he threatened, taking your hand and walking away.

"Matt..." you started quietly, he looked at you "thank you"

He smiled "hey, anything for you, (Y/N)" you blushed as he kissed your cheek "I love you" you looked at him surprised but smiled and kissed him, he smiled into the kiss and kissed back.

"Fucking finally" Mello said walking to you "I was getting tired of waiting" you two pulled back and Mello frowned slightly "why are your knuckles bloody?" He asked concerned.

"An asshole was bothering her" Matt simply said.

You looked at him smiling and he kissed your forehead "let's watch something at my place" the two boys agreed and you left the cinema.
