Dear John,
last time you replied to my letter you gave me advice on how to play guitar and start with barre chords, and I want to let you know how it's going!
First off I can say I actually see progression being made already !! Although it is kind of slow I know I'm getting better ! :)
But there's a bit of a downside, my fingers start to hurt a bit from the strings, but hey I'm not complaining at least I'm getting somewhere !
I just wanted to say thank you !!

I'm glad to hear you're getting better!

Your fingers hurting is just part of playing guitar until they get calloused, then they don't really hurt anymore.
