Er... I feel rather... strange asking for advice again, but there's this girl in my class who is new and get on well with each other, but she thinks we're best friends. I'm kind of a loner and preffer to be alone and with very little company, and I don't want to be rude to her to push her off.

How could I make her understand I like her 'n all, but we're not as close as to be besties?

It's always okay to ask me for advice!

1. You can try to gradually fade out of the friendship.

2. Decline invitations from that person. If they ask if you want to see a movie on the weekend, you may have to tell a little white lie to get out of it easier.

3. Excuse yourself from conversations. Don't ignore them when they try to talk to you, but try to  give polite excuses why you can't stay and chat.

4. If none of these work, you can simply tell them you don't want to be friends anymore.
