OLIVER QUEEN TOOK an interest on the sarcastic, sassy, beautiful Catie who so happened to work as a detective in Starling City. He was tried using his charms on her, after of couple of weeks of just admiring from a far. However, she was clearly not easy to impress; which only engaged him more towards her.
It was late in the evening, when Oliver arrived in SCPD's headquarters. He hide the flowers behind him as he walked up to the woman who he had taken interest in for years. Catie looked up from her work when she noticed a person standing in front of her desk. Oliver smiled kindly at her as he handled her the flowers.
Catie took them, looking at them. "Do you want me to hand it to Amanda?" Catie asked him, mentioning the man's ex-girlfriend. Oliver shook his head, putting his hands in his pocket.
"Th-there for you." Oliver told her.
Catie smiled at him. "I'm elergic to flowers." She told him. Oliver sighed, taking a seat in front of her.
"I doubt that." Oliver replied to her.
"How do you know that? Have you been reading my medical files?" Catie asked him.
Oliver hesitated before answering. "More or less." Oliver sighed. Catie could not avoid the laugh that had escaped her lips. These drew a few shocked stares from the public around them. Oliver was shocked himself.
Catie smiled at him. "I don't know if to feel weird out or impress...but out of curiosity. Why were you reading them?" Catie asked him.
"Well...I didn't want to give you a present you couldn't enjoy..and since you refused to tell me how you felt, I decided to take it into my own hands." Oliver said to her.
Catie looked at him impressed by the confession. "Well, a guy had never taken the time to find out things to impress me." Catie told him.
"Well, what can I say? I'm not like other guys." Oliver told her.
She rolled her eyes at him. "There goes your chance of taking me out on a date. You had to say that." Catie told him. Oliver looked at her with a charming smile. Catie ignored it and stood up from the chair. Oliver followed, stopping in front of her to block her way.
"One date, that's all I ask. I will wait months if you say no." Oliver told her.
Catie looked up to him with a small smile. "One date?" She asked him.
"Yeah, or more if you chose to date me. Deal?" Oliver asked her.
Catie smiled at him. "Deal. Pick me up at eight? I know a nice bar that serves amazing food." Catie told him.
Oliver's smile widen. "I will be there. Thank you." Oliver said, moving so she could pass. Catie sent him a wink before walking away. Oliver waited until she turned a corner to throw a fist bump into the air. Oliver laughed happily, making his way out of the station. This was the start of a full hearted romance that will last forever.
