Chapter 2

Hoseok walked into the school's front doors at exactly 7:30 that morning. The few students in the halls stopped their conversations to watch the senior carefully. A few girls waved to him, which Hoseok kindly smiled and waved back. A few guys nodded their heads in his direction while others cowered away.

Hoseok knew he looked scary and menacing. He kind of liked it, but at the same time it didn't matter to him. He was dubbed the school's "bad boy." Hoseok does go to parties, he does drink, and he does drive a motorcycle. He wouldn't really call himself a bad boy, but whatever.

He made it to his locker and put his stuff away, leaving one book out for first period. He closed his locker and almost jumped two feet in the air.

"God dammit, Jin! Don't sneak up on me like that! I'm getting you a bell!" Hoseok shook his head as his friend laughed. Jin was the complete opposite of Hoseok, but they somehow clicked. Jin likes pink. Hoseok likes darker colors. It's self-explanatory.

"Shut up. Did you eat breakfast yet?" Jin didn't let him answer as he pulled out a breakfast burrito and handed it to the boy.

"Thanks, mom." Hoseok smiled and unwrapped the burrito, then took a big bite out of it.

Jin rolled his eyes. "Stop calling me that."

The two stood in silence while Hoseok ate the burrito. After a while, they heard a loud voice coming down the hall followed by a soft giggle.

"That was so stupid, Tae!"

"But you laughed, which means the joke was good."

"Whatever."

Hoseok watched as the school's smartest kid walked with his loud best friend. Him and Jungkook weren't exactly friends, but they occasionally said hello to each other. Hoseok and Taehyung were a different story, though. They were dating last year for about 6 months, but Hoseok broke it off because he didn't feel anything towards the boy anymore. It wasn't a big deal, though because Taehyung had felt the same way. It was a mutual break up. After that, they didn't talk anymore.

"Hey, Hoseok." Jungkook waved to the senior as he passed by with a small smile.

Hoseok smirked (not even realizing it, considering he does it so much) at Jungkook. "Hey, Kook."

Jungkook's face turned a light pink as he looked away and continued walking. Hoseok was a bit confused by that. Did he say something wrong? He's always called him 'Kook' since they met.

"All I said was hi and this kid's blushing. I don't get it. Am I that hot, Jin?" Hoseok looked over at his best friend, but he seemed... occupied.

Hoseok rolled his eyes as Jin made out with his much older boyfriend. Well, not that much older; he's a sophomore in college. The guy's name is Kim Namjoon. They met at a cafe (how typical, right?) and immediately hit it off. But, Jin didn't just get with anyone that quick. After about 5 months, Namjoon finally asked Jin to be his boyfriend, but Jin declined. He made Namjoon wait 7 more months (basically a year), then agreed to them being an item.

Hoseok had always thought they were goals, and still thinks that.

"I'm gonna go to class now, Jin. See ya, Namjoon." Hoseok sighed and walked away as the couple were in their own little world, whispering loving sentences to each other.

Hoseok sat in the back of his history class after turning in his homework. He was the first one in class, as usual. He sat and thought about the irony of this. Hoseok is known as the "bad boy" of the school. So, of course there's rumors of him being a man whore, drunkard, careless about school, and rude.

Those weren't entirely true. Hoseok does have a reputation of being the life of the party, but he's no alcoholic. He doesn't have sex with anything that walks. He happens to take relationships very seriously. Hoseok also isn't careless about school. He does everything on time and understands enough to complete his assignments. Obviously, he's not as smart as Jeon Jungkook, but he gets by.

Hoseok isn't rude, either. But, if provoked he will attack. If you're rude to him first, he'll only defend himself by being rude back. That's what usually happens anyway. Big and tall guys always try to pick on Hoseok, but once he opens his mouth those guys back off.

Hoseok is probably the coolest person you could have the pleasure of meeting. He doesn't care about the rumors. He lets people think what they want; he knows the truth and that's all that matters.
