A plan without flaw, nor possibility of error! Iolite throws a fight.
(Y/N) Pov
Steven: "Are you sure this is gonna work?" I was retying Steven up to complete the illusion that I was still hostile to the Crystal Gems. I had separated the gems that Steven had identified as the best fighters among them from the rest of the bubbles. The Amethyst, a Pearl, a Ruby, a Sapphire, that Bismuth I punched, a Peridot, and a Lapis Lazuli. I asked him if he was sure, but he was... This was going to be harder than I thought. (Y/N): "Steven, trust me. We'll have a back and forth, I let them poof me, and then they'll feel a lot better being around me." Steven: "Why though?" Sigh. (Y/N): "Because, Steven. If they think they can defeat me if I try to hurt them, then they will be more willing to be around me. If they think that I can not be stopped, they will fear me." Steven: "But we'll show them that you're a nice guy." (Y/N): "Problem, I'm not, Steven." Steven: "But-" (Y/N): "We need to talk later about this. Besides, the fear will remain. It will fester, and become anger. The anger will boil over into hatred. And from hatred, there will be suffering. First mine... Then theirs." Steven got a look of deep concentration on his face, before sighing. Steven: "I guess you're right. Ok, so I just need to pretend to be captured by you?" (Y/N): "Yes. Let me handle the rest." I took a moment to psyche myself up, and then I popped the bubbles that held Amethyst, Pearl, Ruby, and Sapphire.
I crossed my arms and tried to look menacing while I waited for them to reform. It's gonna be hard to look scary without violence, but I figure it's a skill I should learn. Agates do it all the time, how hard can it be? I have to look like a threat, despite the fact that I don't need to fight them any more; it will just make things easier if they think they could defeat me. The four gems reform at the same time.
The Pearl made a choking noise as she grabbed her throat, the Ruby and Sapphire looked for each other before quickly reforming into the fusion, and the Amethyst immediately got into a battle stance, refusing to believe that I had been taken down just yet. It didn't take long for them to notice me standing there, Steven tied up behind me. Pearl: "Steven!" They all pulled out their weapons. (Y/N): "Hmph. Rose Quartz's son back there tells me you 3 are the best the Crystal Gems have to offer. I don't believe it. I don't know how you fought off the Diamonds, but you've grown soft since then. It was so easy to beat you, that I'm letting you back out just so I can fight you again. Maybe this time, it won't be so boring!" Hopefully they won't see past my ruse.
Amethyst: "Is that all you can think about?! Fighting!?" Ok, good, they did not. (Y/N): "Only when it's this easy. Come on, give me a good After Action report for Blue Diamond." Garnet: "Listen, we don't have to fight. The Dia-" (Y/N): "I don't wanna hear it warmachine!" It felt, oddly, wrong to say that. If anything I want to know more about what it's like to be her. But it had the intended effect, she is madder than ever.
Garnet: "We can't take him on like this, we have to form Alexandrite!" Alexandrite? Form? They're going to fuse? Interesting, I wonder what a fusion of four different gems would even look like. (Y/N): "Go ahead, fuse! It won't help you match my strength!" I pulled out my hand axes to emphasize my words. They started to... Dance? What? I don't- Wait, they are melding into one another, becoming one gem. That dance must have been to help align their light wavelengths for fusion.
From the four-gems-now-as-one grows a giant warrior. It has a calm imposing face, worn as a mask over a second, more feral mouth, with a mane of turquoise hair and six arms. It was so beautiful that I dropped my hand axes and stared in amazement. It was perfection... The multi-armed gem goddess called Alexandrite started to bring her leg back for a kick, and I remembered too late to dodge that we were fighting. (Y/N): "Oh shit!"
The kick landed square in my solar plexus, launching me up into the air. Then Alexandrite pulled out a warhammer and swat me out of the air, sending me flying into a near-by hill. I collided with the peak and bounced high up into the air. Then it pulled out a flail, slammed me back into the hill, destroying it and crushing me. Thankfully I covered my gem first. (Y/N): "Multiple gem weapons? Bullshit." As I got up from the crater that used to be a hill, I looked towards Alexandrite again, and saw that she now held a bow, and that a hail of giant arrows were heading toward me. (Y/N): "Oh, that's just cheating!" I raised my guard and braced for the onslaught. As the arrows fell around and into me, I felt myself lose consciousness. (Y/N): "No, not now!" The voice was taking advantage of my wounded state to control me. I only hope that these injuries slow me down enough that they can still win. And the world... fades to black.
3rd Person POV
Steven was worried. That was a brutal assault. Alexandrite showed no quarter. Hopefully Iolite wasn't shattered. She unfused back into Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl; and they went to unbubble the others, starting with Peridot, Lapis, and Bismuth. The rest were hidden away, and they couldn't find them. Bismuth: "What- what happened?" She looked around at the ruined city, confused. Peridot: "Get away from-! Wait, where is that crazy warrior gem?" Amethyst: "They unbubbled us for a round 2!" Pearl: "But we formed Alexandrite and defeated them." Suddenly, Garnet looked towards the crater where the hill used to be. Garnet: "Lapis, move!" Garnet pushed Lapis out of the way as a giant hand axe flew past where she used to be. Through the dust kicked up by Alexandrites arrow storm, the giant Iolite rampaged out. (Y/N)?: "DEATH! DEATH!!" He raced towards the Crystal Gems, with a blue fire in his eyes.
As he approached the Crystal Gems rushed towards him to intercept. As Garnet charged him head on to keep his attention Bismuth came at him from an angle and clocked him upside the head with her hammer hand. It knocked him off his feet and 3 feet into the air as he twisted and turned to face her, swinging his axes. But she learned from the first attack; she was not gonna stand there and try to block his swing. She jumped back, putting some distance between her and the Iolite. As the Iolite landed back on his feet Pearl jumped up and, with all her strength, plunged her spear clean through his shoulder. The Iolite seemed unphased, as he reached over and grabbed her off her spear. He tightened his grip to crush her but Amethyst cracked her whips, sparking with energy, at his hand, causing him to drop her. This had given Lapis enough time to make a water copy of the Iolite, which rushed forth and tackled him. He slid back, standing his ground, and let out a mighty war cry that shook the ground. (Y/N)?: "RROOOAAAAAAAAAH!" The shock wave from his roar discorporated the water clone. Meanwhile, Peridot was trying to use her metal control powers to lift up one of the Iolites thrown axes. Peridot: "Uhhhg, this thing weighs a ton!" She managed to get it off the ground, then she launched it as hard as she could at him. It spun sideways through the air and, as he turned to face it, it cut clean through his neck, decapitating him.
He dropped his axes and stood there. His head still on his shoulders but severed from his neck, unmoving... Then, he took a step forward, and everyone else took a step back. Peridot: "Oh my stars! It's invincible! WE'RE DOOMED!!" Lapis: "There's no way... there's just no way!" Bismuth: "It's not a gem, it's a monster!" Amethyst: "Uhhh... Garnet? Any ideas?" Garnet quickly stepped in front of the monster that walked like a gem and it quickly wrapped its hands around her neck and hoisted her up. She threw a punch at its head with all her might, sending its head flying off of its neck. The head poofed into nothing about 30 yards away, as the now completely headless body continued to strangle her. Pearl: "It's not stopping! IT'S NOT STOPPING!!" However, it's grip on Garnet's neck started to weaken, before it dropped her, slumped to the ground, and finally poofed into its gem.
Peridot POV
We all stared at the gem of that monstrously powerful warrior as Garnet bubbled it and sent it to the temple. Bismuth: "What the hell was that thing?" Pearl: "It looked like an Iolite but-" Bismuth: "Hell no! I know plenty of Iolites, and the toughest of them couldn't take half of what that thing did on their best day!" Amethyst untied Steven, and he spoke up. Steven: "Well, he's not a monster. He's a gem." Amethyst: "I don't know any normal gems that can stand up to that kinda punishment Steven." Steven referred to this gem as a he... why? Peridot: "Wait, he?" The others looked at me. Steven: "Well, yeah. He's a man." They then turned to Steven, shocked. This helped to explain his strength but not that insane level he displayed. Lapis: "But, gems aren't male." Peridot: "Well, it's not impossible." The others turned back to me, confusion clear on their faces.
Peridot: "You see, with the proper admixtures added into normal gem injector fluid, it creates 'male gem' injector fluid. These 'male gems' have several distinct advantages over normal gems, including increased strength, speed, size, stamina, and durability. Although not usually to this extent." The others looked concerned. Garnet: "How many more are there?" I shrugged. Peridot: "This is the first one I've seen. They are extremely rare due to the difficulty and high risk presented from implantation. 'Male gem' injector fluid is so unstable as to almost function better as a high grade explosive, but the storage requirements are too particular for it to be used in that manner. I'd hazard a guess that he is the only one. Him being male would certainly explain the oddly handsome features..." The others gave me a weird look. I felt a bit... embarrassed. Peridot: "Oh come on! I can not be the only one that noticed!"
Fortunately, focus was quickly taken off of me when we noticed Steven wasn't here anymore. When we found him, in an alcove off the edge of the ruins of Little Homeworld, he and a few other gems were busy popping the many, many bubbles that were there. Pearl: "Steven, you found them!" Steven looked back at us. Steven: "Yeah, I wanted to free the others before I go to talk to him." We were shocked. Lapis: "Steven, you can't be serious!" Amethyst: "Yeah Steven, I know you're good at talking to gems and getting them to see the error of their ways and junk but this guy is seriously bad news!" Bismuth crossed her arms. Bismuth: "What if he attacks you right after he reforms, huh? What then?" Steven looked a little taken aback, and a bit nervous at that. Steven: "You do have a point... But I can't just leave him stuck in a bubble. He deserves a shot at life, just like everyone else! If it would make you feel better, than you can be there with me to keep me safe. But I'm going to talk to him tonight." It was clear there was no arguing with him. Garnet: "Fine. But please, be careful Steven. We don't want to lose you." There was a feeling in my gem I couldn't shake. It was nervousness, yet also, eagerness. To be honest, I too, wanted to know more about this 'male gem'. I couldn't wait.
