{ training camp 02 }

Amaya is one the last people to awake for the last day of this weekend training camp at Nekoma. Though, she can't complain. The second year did have a rather restless night.

She looked back on last night, then shook her head. Amaya got ready as quick as she could to compensate for waking up late. She walked out of the girl's room, yawning.

Amaya trudged herself towards the cafeteria to grab breakfast in hope to wake herself up. She huffed as she sat near the other team managers, then set her head on the table.

Breakfast soon ended and all the schools went to the gym. They all started to warm up on one side of the net for the practice games. Amaya decided to opt out of helping Nekoma warm up as she still is very exhausted to the point where she's having a hard time staying focused.

Nishinoya came up on the unaware second year and whacked her back. It just about woke her up.

"Owww.. Yuu-" Amaya hissed, looking at Nishinoya.

Noya grinned, then laughed, "Well I woke you up didn't I?"

"Yeah, and I hate it," She huffed looking down at the slightly smaller second year.

Noya continued laughing as he walked back to his team. An embarrassed expression crept onto Amaya's face.

Kaori walked up to the Nekoma manager. Amaya only pointed at the Fukurodani manager and said, "Don't even mention it."

Kaori lightly laughed and jogged back to her team. Amaya now felt even more embarrassed, watching the teams warm up.

The practice matches quickly began and Karasuno was-unsurprisingly-the first team that had to do the penalty laps. Even so, Amaya couldn't help but feel pity for the crows. Maybe it was Nishinoya, or maybe it was the entire team. She couldn't really tell.

As the day continued on and the practice matches flew by, it seemed that Karasuno hasn't won any matches yet. It was quite sad.

It wasn't long before all the practice matches were done and all the teams had to go home. Except for Nekoma. They did play the weekend at their school after all.

Nishinoya and Amaya left the building happily chatting together. Amaya stopped, "So, you gotta head back home now, huh? Well uh, there's always the week long training camp at Saitama, so I guess that'll be the next time we'll see each other again. Maybe the la-"

"That won't be the last! We'll be going to the nationals!" He exclaimed, "You guys better go too!"

Amaya could see the determination reflect in Nishinoya's eyes. He was dead on serious with this.

"So stop thinking that our next meeting is going to be our last, alright?!"

The second year blinked, then nodded, "Yeah! But, it's just-"

"I'll miss you," She managed to say, she didn't know how, but she's glad.

Nishinoya lightly blushed, though it was hard to tell due to the orange hue that the setting sun gave. He smiled, then lightly punched Amaya, "I'll miss you too."

Amaya was so relieved hearing Nishinoya say those words. It made her more thrilled for the Saitama training camp for sure.

The spikey haired second year walked to the Karasuno bus, waving goodbye to Amaya. She smiled as she watched him walk away. Before long, the bus took off and all the visiting teams are now officially gone.

The moon slowly began the rise and Amaya was walking home with Kuroo.

It was oddly silent between the two, more silent that it would normally be. It was weird. Before long, Kuroo broke the silence. He stopped walking and asked, "So Amaya. You like Karasuno's libero, don't you?"

Amaya stopped shortly after and turned her body halfway to look at Kuroo. She stared at the third year, hesitating, "No, what makes you say that?"

"You're," He paused, sighing, "More lively than you usually are when you're around him or when you're talking to him."

The second year looked to the side. It was true, yet she refused to admit it. She honestly, truly, hoped that her feelings for Nishinoya had died when she moved to Tokyo, but it seems they haven't.

Kuroo walked past Amaya, patting her shoulder. He smirked, "You shouldn't keep it in forever. Maybe he might be the one."

The rooster head walked away, heading towards his own home, leaving Amaya.

The dark haired girl stood there, underneath the moonlight, thinking about what her upperclassman had said. Maybe he was right, yet she was still uncertain.

It wasn't long before Amaya headed towards her own home, still thinking about what Kuroo had told her. Even so, she couldn't help but think about Nishinoya. She sadly smiled, knowing that if both teams made it to the nationals that they would have to battle each other.

Amaya brushed away most of her thoughts and opened the door to her house. She couldn't wait for what the future had in store.
