Description :

Sunset will be facing an important exam in less than two weeks and she has been developing a bad habit in which staying up too late, studying ( Twilight's been rubbing off her habit on Sunset ). So Optimus, as Sunset's boyfriend, thinks it's time for him to step in before things get messy.

" Are you going to staying up again tonight?" Asked Russell as he watched Sunset cleaning up her note books on the table, finished doing study group with him.

Sunset nodded, " Yup, like before until the exam is finished."

" Come on, Sunset, I know the exam is important but you really should get enough rest." Russell said, gesturing towards the faint eyeblack on her eyes.

" I know when to sleep, Russell." Sunset said.

" Like -- 1 in the morning?"

Rolling her eyes, Sunset checked her watch and noticed it was time for her to leave. Bidding goodbye to the boy, she walked around the junkyard, searching for her boyfriend and found him in a conversation with Bumblebee.

" Optimus!" She called over. The mech looked down at her as she pointed to her watch and gave a nod, understanding her request.

Optimus and Sunset said goodbye to the yellow bot, who nodded as he smiled, before leaving the junkyard to head to Sunset's apartment. Sunset looked out of the window as she sat in the mech's alt mode, staring at the now reddish orange sky that seemed similar with her hair colour. Another seconds of silence, in which where Optimus was now entering the City Crown and the bot decided to break the silence.

" Sunset, " he began, " the others and I have noticed your lack of sleeping recently."

" I know; Russell just told me to get more sleep." Said Sunset, rolling her eyes once more." Don't worry, I know when to get myself a rest."

" 2 in the morning?"

" I never stayed up until 2!"

" Even so," Optimus continued, " I cannot afford you to be tired for  your lack of sleeping. I will be with you until you go to bed -- "

" What?!" Sunset gasped, " Optimus! There's no need for you to watch over me until I go to sleep! I am a teenager and almost graduate high school!"

" Then will you promise me to sleep early tonight?"

" You know I have an important exam -- "

" -- In which requires you to have energy to answer the questions." The mech said, his tone made it so clear he would be sticking with his decision that made Sunset said nothing.

She pouted her lips, crossed her hands over her chest and stared out of the window again. After a few seconds, a thought occurred her mind.

" Wait, how are you going to make sure I will go to sleep early? With you being a giant robot?" She stated, feeling a little cheerful at the thought.

" Fortunately, Ratchet has invented a hologram for each of us so we can use it in certain situations." Replied Optimus as if he had expected the question. Just as he had done speaking, they had arrived at the destination.

Sunset, frowning slightly, opened the door and hopped off. She turned and raised an eyebrow, " Let me see your hologram, then." Her tone showed that she was annoyed.

A few seconds of silence before the door opened and a man got off the truck. One look and Sunset Shimmer found herself turning as red as her hair colour.

A/n :  Not my art. I would really like to draw it myself since I already have the design but it's late now and I am too lazy to draw it digitally so... there you go.

Optimus still had his blue colour as his hair, which looked smooth and silky and neat; pale pitch skin, the same eye colour; his outfit contained black turtle neck sweater under his jacket which in the mix of colour blue, red and white; wearing white trousers, his look was completed with a set of blue, white and black boots.

To describe it simply; he is damn it handsome and so charming and -- help, I am having a nosebleed here --

" Sunset?"

The red haired girl snapped out of her gaze when she noticed Optimus was waving his hand in front of her face, looking slightly worried.

" Are you all right? Your face has gone red." He said, eyebrows knitted.

" I -- I am fine -- " Sunset coughed and turned to avoid eye contact, her face burning. " L-Let's go in."

Trying to push the though of having a hot man inside her unit, Sunset allowed Optimus to take a better look inside before excusing herself so she could clean herself. Now in the bathroom alone, she stared at the wall and hit her head repeatedly.

" I don't think I can survive this night with him being here..." she mumbled, feeling imaginary steams coming out from her ears as she blushed darkly.

So time skip, after having dinner and all ( Optimus, since he couldn't eat human foods, spent the 10 minutes of lecturing how Sunset should take less Chinese take-out food as she ate ) Sunset had her books on the table and she seemed ready to study.

" Until 10 o'clock and that's it." Optimus reminded her as he went to sit down beside Sunset.

Sighing and in her pyjamas, Sunset nodded. " Yes, Optimus."

Having nothing else to do, Optimus watched Sunset did her revision, occasionally pointing out the mistakes she had done with her math. Getting slightly annoyed and feeling her pride challenged, Sunset waved away her boyfriend's help so the man was forced to watch silently, not wanting to make the girl angry again.

But after seeing her having trouble with a question for over half an hour, Optimus ignored the girl's protest of not needing any help.

" You should put the x here so you can get the right numbers to divided it with 2, " he said, edging closer towards Sunset.

Sunset froze as she felt her shoulders brushed against Optimus' arms; though they had many contacts before, spare the hugs and kisses on the cheeks, this was the first she did a contact with his human form. And to add it all, she could even smelled the whiff mixture of fresh ocean and lemon from him; do robots smell like this? She never smelled this kind of thing from him when he was in his robot form ( excepted from the weird smell of energon and oil ).

" O-Optimus..." she stuttered, blushing as she did so, " y-you're too close..." No, he was actually not, but the small contact sent a shiver to her.

" Hmm?" His head turned to look at her.

Sunset felt her breath was taken. He was so good looking in his human form, even as an alien giant robot. Before this, Sunset did thought he was handsome but now seeing him as a human...that's just different. She felt herself lost in those aqua blue eyes of his and the next thing she knew, she was leaning closer.

" Sunset?" The man breathed, noticing the gap getting smaller.

" Ah, damn it, even your voice sounds attractive." Sunset whispered and pressed her lips on his.

She and Optimus never really kissed lips to lips before but now having a chance to do this, it felt so good. Sunset drew away, feeling he wasn't kissing her back.

" Optimus?" She called, now feeling worried she had upset him.

Optimus stared at her for a few seconds before pulling her closer to him and kissed her again. Melting, Sunset closed her eyes and wrapped her hands around his neck as Optimus tilted his head to deepen the kiss.

A/n : I've never really describe lovers kissing like this, I am basically blushing right now.

Breaking away after a moment or two, they looked at each other, catching oxygen as they did so. Sunset saw Optimus glanced at the clock on the wall and a smile carved on his face.

" Time's up."

" Ah, no, wait, I haven't finished with this one -- WOAH!" Sunset let out a yelp as she felt a hand sneaked around her waist and the next thing she knew, she found herself carried by the man in bridal style.

" I thought you'd say something like that." He said, a tone of smugness in his voice as he started to walk into Sunset's bedroom.

Admiting her defeat, Sunset grumbled as Optimus put her on the bed. She pulled the blanket and was about to lay down when she noticed Optimus was still in her room.

" Um, are you going to stare at me until I fall asleep?" She guessed. " ' Cause that'd be really creepy and I can't sleep like that."

" No, I was hoping that I could sleep with you for tonight only." Optimus said, now taking off his jacket --

Sunset went into a sitting position faster than a fired bullet, " No! I-I am not ready for that!" She exclaimed, starting to blush.

" Ready for what? " Optimus raised an eyebrow in confusion as he placed his jacket on the chair.

" For -- For -- " Sunset waved her hands around, now panicking slightly when Optimus sat on her bed. " What's the word in your language? Interface!" She snapped her fingers.

If Optimus was in his robot form, his cooling fans would have kicked on; he felt the blood inside him rushed to his face in less than a second when he realized what Sunset thought he was going to do.

" N-no, " he managed to stutter out, blushing madly, " I was thinking maybe we could -- cuddle? Is that what you humans called it?"

Sunset stared at him for a second before let out a relief laugh, " Oh! So that's it! Then okay! I wouldn't mind!" She spoke without thinking.

So when Optimus started to lay down beside her, she felt like she was going to explode out of embarrassment.

Aboard! Aboard! Bad idea! Bad idea! Too close! Too close! TOO FREAKING CLOSE --

" D-Do you feel uncomfortable?" Optimus said, still feeling the embarrassment of being mistaken just now.

" I, er, um, " Sunset's mind swirled as she tried to find the right word. It wasn't uncomfortable but kinda awkward. Still, she found herself not wanting for him to leave. " I like it."

I like it? Girl, that's escalated too quick, don't you think?

Hiding her red face in the blanket, Sunset peeked out when she heard him chuckled. Optimus reached out hand and stroked her hair gently as he said, " You're adorable, Sunset."

" A-Adorable?" She bit her lips, avoiding his gaze. " Well, you're handsome."

Optimus froze for a second before smiled in amusement, " Am I not before this? In my original form?"

" What? No! You were and are handsome! Human or not!" Sunset exclaimed confidently before blushed darker and sunk deeper into the blanket.

Optimus laughed; something he rarely did in front of others. He wrapped his hands around Sunset and brought her closer until he could rest his chin on her head.

" I love you so, so much, Sunset Shimmer." He sighed, a relaxing grin on his face as he gently tighten his grip.

Face burning, Sunset nuzzled her face into Optimus' chest, mumbling, " I love you too, Optimus Prime."

" What was that? I cannot hear you." Optimus pulled away so he could take a better look on Sunset. " Please repeat what you had just said."

Sunset threw a 'really?' look at Optimus as his grin turned quite mischievously.

" I love you too." She said louder.

" Pardon?" His grin widened.

Growling, Sunset grabbed his face and kissed him ferociously and yanked back her head to say, " I love you and now let's get some sleep or I'll kick you out of my room."

" Yes, Dear."

" Dear?"

" Or do you prefer 'Honey'?"

" Um -- "

" How about Sweetspark?"

" Optimus -- "

" Yes, Sweet Pumpkin?"

" OPTIMUS!"

A/n : I swear, Optimus is quite OOC here and this is so cheesy.
Also, I want to put an art of Sunset and Optimus by Elioo on Deviantart on top but she still haven't replied to my request so maybe until I'll get an answer, I'll just use that one.
