Pure Spark
I had been ordered to assist Quintessa with some projects for a couple of weeks. I don't trust Quintessa, not one little bit. Something about her makes me feel uncomfortable, mostly because she looks kinda humanoid other than those multiple legs.
'Trust your instincts, Springlock.' I heard a female voice.
I looked around for anyone, but there was no one to be seen.
"Who said that?" I whisper.
'I did.' I heard her again.
"Who are you?" I whisper.
'I am Solus Prime, you have my spark within your form." Solus told me.
So I can hear someone known as Solus Prime in my thoughts. Well now if I say something because I hear Solus near Quintessa, she or Galvatron will lock me up for sure. But how can I hear her?
"How can I hear you? Why can I hear you?" I ask.
'Because you possess my spark, I am a part of you now. You are right to not trust Quintessa, she's a deceiver.' Solus says.
"But how did I end up with-" I was interrupted when I heard Quintessa yell for me.
"Springlock! Come at once!" Quintessa yelled.
I groaned silently, reluctantly headed in her direction. I still hear the inhuman screeches of every type of creature here, but I wish I knew what HERE was. A ship? A facility? A planet? I don't even know.
I also don't know what happened to my old voice when I was built, I don't remember anything past that. My memories returning is perfect, meaning I can show her what I'm REALLY made of. I'm a super soldier, she's a deceiver. She should be no match for my weaponry or fighting ability.
'Don't be overconfident, Springlock. Quintessa has abilities that you do not.' Solus warned.
"Like?" I whispered as I entered her chamber.
Quintessa faced me as some contraption had crashed onto the ground, sparking and glitching. I stepped back to keep from getting hit. She hovered over it and I saw a smile form on her faceplates. The device was very glitchy, I stared at it confused.
"What is this thing?" I asked.
"It's a device that sends messages across the galaxy, delivering them to whomever the recipient is."
"I-I-I a-am Optimus P-P-Prime, and t-this m-m-message I-is to my c-creators...L-Leave planet E-Earth a-Alone. For I am c-coming, FOR YOU." I gasped secretly.
That was Optimus Primes voice, that's the mech I'm supposed to hunt down and bring to his creators. But I can't do that, my spark won't let me. I don't have it within me.
"Optimus Prime... He is one of my creations." Quintessa said.
Now THAT was a filthy lie, Optimus and I have the SAME creators. I was assembled by the ones who created him, we could be considered siblings when you think about it. But I don't even know what he looks like, I hope that I can soon meet him.
"Is he now?" I tried not to sound skeptical.
"Indeed he is. He was a great Knight until he turned against me." Quintessa turned around.
I've never heard such a lie. She wasn't there when I was being built, at least I don't believe she was. Solus would tell me if she was there, but so far nothing.
"I see. So what does this thing have to do with him coming here?" I ask.
"If he desires to meet his maker, he will come very soon. Get some recharge, you're going to need it for helping me tomorrow." Quintessa left the room.
I take another look at the destroyed drone, maybe if it was still in working condition I could use it to warn Optimus about Quintessa. Maybe I could fix it, just maybe. I think of how I could fix it as I walked back to my "room".
I ran through the corridors of my makers' ship as the alarms blared, desperate for a way out. Guards were in pursuit as I turned a sharp corner in order to escape, my camouflaging systems were about to be tested. I turned another corner and hugged the wall, my systems activated and I blended in perfectly.
The guards ran right in front of me, completely oblivious. Once I couldn't hear them, I slipped away back the way I came. But I run into the same dark grey mech, he holds his battle knife.
"You think you're so clever, don't you?" He remarked.
"I was built to be intelligent, fast, stealthy, strategic, strong and most importantly deadly." I extended my blood red claws as my deep voice rumbled through the corridor.
We charged at each other, the first thing I did was use my tail to wrap around his arm to prevent him from stabbing me. He tried to push the knife towards my chestplate, but I was much stronger than him. I gave a powerful kick to his side, causing him to let go. I unwrapped my tail and growled.
"Springlock, cease at once!" I heard one of my makers behind me.
I tensed. The mech looked behind me, I turned around to see my makers there. Their gazes were piercing as they glared at me, I clenched my fists and glared back.
"What is the meaning of this, Springlock? You are to do what you are told!" The lead maker said.
"No I am not. You gave me the spark of a pure being and that was your first mistake, the second being you all creating a rebellious super-soldier. I refuse to do anything you order me to." I got into a fighting stance.
The mech grabbed me from behind, I felt something inside of me almost trigger. I elbow him in his chestplate as hard as I could, I turn around and swiped my claws at his face. They made contact on the left side of his face, leaving 2 huge scars. He yelled out in pain and let go, covering his face which started leaking the same blue fluid.
I took another swipe at his chestplate, leaving another 2 claw marks. He grunted this time, taking his knife and he slashed my throat. I screamed in pain, but my scream was glitched. The blue liquid leaked into my throat, causing me to start choking. I coughed hard to get the fluids out of my throat, but it only made it worse.
"Lockdown! You could've just ended her very life!" One of my makers shouted at the mech.
"Springlock just attacked me! You really wish to spare her life?" The mech argued.
I used the time as they were arguing to get down the corridor towards what I was hoping were escape pods, I was right. I picked the one that was closest. The fluids were still leaking into my throat, but it had slowed down quite a bit. But there was a trail of the liquids leading to me, so I need to move now.
I entered the escape pod. The sound of footsteps closing in, I need to make a move now. A luscious blue and green planet was not too far off in the distance, perhaps I could go there. It seems to be the only option at the moment.
I hit the detach button, looking back at the entrance of the pod. The dark grey mech just appeared in my line of vision when the hatch slammed shut. The escape pod ejected from the ship without warning, so I slammed into the wall and everything went black.
~Skip in flashback~
My vision came back online, I was still alive. I noticed that the escape pod I had taken had crashed into tall brown and green sticks coming out of the ground, where am I? How am I outside of the escape pod? Maybe this is the planet I saw from space. I sat up and felt pain all over my body.
"By th-th-the All-Allspa- ar-ar-ark...." My voice glitched.
That damn mech had damaged my vocal processor, that slagging...
There was a tiny gasp in front of me, I looked up and saw a tiny little girl standing there. The little girl was only a 10th of my large size. She was wearing some type of armor that was flimsy, and she held a tiny little animal toy. She looked curious rather than scared, she came closer.
"Excuse me, but are you alright?" She asked in the most adorable little voice.
"I-I-I believe-eve s-s-so." I answered her.
"Your voice, what's wrong with it?" The little girl asked.
"Long s-s-story. I a-am Springlock-lock-lock, a-and y-y-you a-are?" I ask.
"I'm Annabeth." The little girl came closer.
I went to get up, the pain spreading throughout my entire body. I tough it out and got to my knees, taking a couple deep breaths. I felt a tiny hand on one of my claws, I looked and there was the little girl Annabeth. She was smiling at me, I am unable to smile since I only had a jaw aligned with sharp teeth.
"You can do it Springlock." She said.
"Thank y-y-you." I said and managed to get to my feet.
I heard the sound of a ship closing in, I looked into the sky to see it. Although it was invisible, my optics were designed to see anything invisible. Annabeth looked around for the ship but couldn't see it.
"Anna-Anna-Annabeth, it's n-not s-s-safe here." I picked her up gently and started running through the tall sticks, keeping Annabeth shielded with my servos from the smaller sticks breaking as I ran.
I sensed her fear as the ship's engines were causing the large sticks to sway and the green plants on them to sway. Wait, my camouflage invisibility systems! I kept running but activated my invisibility cloak, I was gone from sight. Even Annabeth too.
"Sh, d-don't worry. Y-Y-You're safe. They should b-be-be gone." I whispered.
I was wrong.
