A/N: I lied!

*(Y/N) POV*

After waking up Ruby went back to her dorm. Thankfully guys were still out cold. After changing into my clothes I was suppose to meet Ruby near the elevator to Ozpin's office. And here we are

(Y/N): "..."

Ruby: "..."

(Y/N): "Ruby..."

Ruby: "Yeah?"

(Y/N): "Why did you pressed all the buttons?"

Ruby: "It was an accident!"

(Y/N): "Petals, I love you, but I doubt it was. And that's where I come into the picture" I proceed to press and hold every button except for the right one

Ruby: "How did you do that?"

(Y/N): "Old trick. If you choose wrong floor you can cancel it by holding the button for about two seconds" Soon the ding of elevator signals we are here

Ozpin: "Come in" The door opened and me and Ruby walked in

Ruby: "Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here... It wasn't me"

(Y/N): "It was totally her doing..." Ruby pouted

Ruby: "Meanie"

Ozpin: "Thank you two for coming, Ruby, (Y/N). How are you feeling?"

Ruby: "Okay, I guess. I'd feel better if my bad guy catching record wasn't O for three" everyone stayed silent "Okay, so that's the tone we're going for, got it" James get in front of us

Ironwood: "Ruby, (Y/N), I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress and Huntsman is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could"

Ruby: "Thank you, sir"

(Y/N): "Thanks general"

Ozpin: "Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night. But now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add"

Glynda: "Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?"

Ruby: "I... I don't know. She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked"

Glynda: "Save for the glass, that sounds like the women I fought the night (Y/N) arrived in Vale and we met Ruby"

(Y/N): "It was her. Same fighting style, and she controlled fire. When I tried to control her fire it felt the same, but..."

Ozpin: "Is something wrong Mr. (L/N)?"

(Y/N): "Em the fact is... never mind..."

Ruby: "Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?"

Ozpin: "It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together"

Ruby: "Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom" I was shocked Ruby lied, but I decided to stay silent"

Ozpin: "Interesting"

Glynda: "I thought you said the intruder never..."

Ozpin: "Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby. Why don't you go spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you. (Y/N), I would like you to stay with us for a little longer" Ruby get back to the elevator

Ruby: "Any time. After you are done (Y/N), come to my room. I will get your team there too"

(Y/N): "Okay. Love you Petals"

Ruby: "Love you too Cookie"

Ozpin: "And Miss Rose, please and be... discreet about this matter"

Ruby: "Yes sir" Ruby get back and the elevator doors closed behind her. Ozpin turned to me

(Y/N): "So... why am I still here Professor?"

Ozpin: "I wanted to ask you (Y/N), what is bothering you?"

'If there is anyone who knows, it must be Ozpin'

(Y/N): "I... When I was fighting that woman, more specifically when I parried her fire shot at Ruby I felt her flames are not like mine, but I felt also a little similarity to my semblance. I just felt like... magic..." Ozpin stayed silent for a while, probably thinking about something

Ozpin: "What's your favorite fairy tale?" He then proceed to tell me that the Story of the Seasons is true and maidens really exists, same as magic. Well, that blew my mind

(Y/N): "So... There are four maidens?"

Ozpin: "Always"

(Y/N): "And after maiden dies the power goes to the person she had in last thoughts?"

Ozpin: "Pretty much"

(Y/N): "And that women we fought stole some of Amber's powers?"

Ozpin: "She was young and inexperienced, she was ambushed and half of her power was stolen"

(Y/N): "And she is in a vault under the school?"

Ozpin: "Yes. We got her there in order to protect her from her attacker. (Y/N), have your father ever told you a story about Guardians?"

(Y/N): "No, I don't think so"

Ozpin: "It's connected to the Story of the Seasons. Once upon the time all four maidens had children. Those kids got what we call now 'semblance', representing their mothers powers. Guardians, after their mothers death, swore to protect the next maidens. Their powers were passed from father to son"

(Y/N): "Professor, I don't see where are you going with this"

Ozpin: "Basically (Y/N), like there are four maidens, there are four Guardians. And you are one of them" Well, I got my mind blown the second time this day

(Y/N): "I am?"

Ozpin: "Yes, and so was your father. Both of you are guardians of fall maiden. Your semblance comes from her"

(Y/N): "Are there any other guardians?"

Ozpin: "To this day it is still unknown... (Y/N) do you remember what I tell you and Miss Rose when we first met?"

(Y/N): "Something about..."

Ozpin: "Silver eyes, those who have them are to lead the life of a warrior. You have them and so is Ruby. You, (Y/N), have power to protect maidens, but also a power to hurt them"

(Y/N): "When I think about it... During initiation I was fighting some Beowolfes and after dealing with one, the rest just scowled and ran away"

Ozpin: "That's because the creatures of Grimm are afraid of silver eyed warriors. Just a single look from these warriors is able to kill a Grimm" I think for a while, taking information "Are you okay (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Oh, yeah, I'm good, just, it's a lot to take. That maidens are real and everything..."

Ozpin: "Well, I have given you a lot to think about and you also have a long day ahead of you. I hope I wasn't holding you too long. You may now leave Mr. (L/N). We will contact you soon if it's needed. And please, keep all of this to yourself"

(Y/N): "I will. Thanks for trusting me with this Ozpin" with that I walked back to the elevator and went on my way back to dorms, thinking about all of this

'Magic is real, Maidens are real and I'm some type of body guard for this women from yesterday and Amber now... I hope Ozpin have some plan to choose new fall maiden, Amber is in critical condition and if she dies, that women will posses all of fall maidens's power. Not saying anything about me and Ruby... to kill a Grimm with just a stare, it would be awesome! So that's what grandma meant when she said I have a great power with those eyes, but how did she know about this?' I broke my trail of thought when I noticed I was near Team RWBY's dorm. I knocked and soon Ruby opened the door

Ruby: "Cookie!" she hugged me "What took you so long? I was starting to worry?"

(Y/N): "I was just talking with Ozpin, don't worry"

Ruby: "Alright! I already told everyone what happened!"

(Y/N): "You are that excited to go on our first mission?"

Ruby: "Yup!"

Ryze: "I still don't believe Ruby lied... she's starting to show some things from your behavior (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "Just shut up Matoi. How is your head?"

Ryze: "I'm good, Mako however..." we heard a vomit sound coming from the bathroom and soon Mako exited

Mako: "I'm good now" girls looked at him with grossed out expression

Weiss: "I hope you cleaned after yourself, Michael" she said with venom

Mako: "Easy there Ice Queen. Your bathroom is sparkling like brand new"

(Y/N): "So, Ruby told you everything?" they nodded

Weiss: "Yes. And that was a risky move to lie to Ozpin"

Blake: "I think she handled it well"

Ruby: "I hope so"

(Y/N): "Everything will be alright, Petals. We will try to get a mission in the southeast too so we can search together"

Yang: "Oh! I know what will cheer her up!" Yang get a cylindrical package

Ruby: "What's that?"

Yang: "I don't know yet. Dad sent it to us. I thought we could open it together!"

Ruby: "Ohh! Something from home!" Ruby get all excited. She went on Yang's back trying to take the package from her. Yang shook the tube and a gray cylinder popped out on the ground

(Y/N): "Your dad send you a tube of grey fur?"

Yang: "Wait for it" the tube of fur soon changed into a small dog. We looked at it as it barked

RWBY: "Waaaaa!"

(Y/N): "A little corgi?"

Ryze: "How...?"

Sam: "We have a cat Faunus and a dog in one room. Well... This isn't going to end well "

Ruby: "Zweeeiii!"

Blake: "He sent a dog?!"

Weiss: "In the mail?"

Ryze: "And here I thought I will not see anything more bizarre than Mako in a dress..."

Yang: "Oh he does stuff like this all the time"

Blake: "Your father or your dog?" she said from Ruby's bed while Ruby was talking to Zwei

(Y/N): "Blake, get down. He will not bite, just look at his cute little face" I get my face next to Zwei as he licked my cheek and barked happily at me

Ruby: "He likes you (Y/N)"

Weiss: "Are you telling me that this mangy, drooling, mutt, is going to wiv wif us foweva? Oh, yes he is, yes he is! Oh isn't he adorable!"

(Y/N): "You always liked dogs Weiss"

Blake: "Please keep it away from my belongings..."

Mako: "You are proving a very sad stereotype right now Kitty" we then hear Glynda talking through the intercom

Glynda: "Would all first year students please report to the amphitheater?"

Weiss: "Well, we can't exactly leave him here while we're gone for the week" Ruby put Zwei down as he ran to the bunk bed Blake is on

Yang: "Look, there's a letter! 'Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days, so I'm sending Zwei to you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need. Love you both, Taiyang'" Yang flips the cylinder as a ton of dog food bury Zwei

Weiss: "What is he supposed to do with that?" a can opener falls onto Zwei's head

Yang: "Well, that settles it! Come on guys, Zwei will be here when we get back!"

Weiss: "Oh, I'll miss you so much, we're going to be best friends, I can't wait to see you" She and Yang leave the room

(Y/N): "Guys, go find us some mission, I will join you later" my team nodded "Remember, southeast" and the leave the room too. Blake also exits the room by jumping down from the bunk bed, to the table and through the doors, avoiding Zwei. I turn to Ruby to see her looking at Zwei and at her bag, suspiciously

(Y/N): "Ruby, as much as I love dogs, I don't think bringing Zwei would be good idea" and she gave me a puppy eyes

'Curse you Petals and your cuteness'

Ruby: "But Cookie, I don't want to leave him here all alone"

(Y/N): "Ruby..." I looked at her, still giving me puppy eyes "I really..." I gave up "*sigh* Okay, but if they find out you brought him, it's on you"

Ruby: "Yay!"

(Y/N): "Now come on, we have a mission to do"

*timeskip*

Me and Ruby get into the amphitheater and stand next to Team RWBY and Ryze. I assumed Sam and Mako went to get us a mission

Glynda: "Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin"

Ozpin: "Today we stand together, united. Mistral, Atlas, Vacuo, Vale. The four kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in history came to an end. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united, but this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you'll be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsmen or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best" he leaves the stage

Ruby: "This is perfect! All we have to do is shadow a huntsman working in the southeast!"

Yang: "Yeah! We'll follow them around by day and give them the slip by night"

(Y/N): "I don't think two teams can take the same mission. First year teams at least, but I will see what Mako and Sam find" Mako and Sam get near us "And?"

Sam: "We found a search and destroy mission in Quadrant 6. Grimm are swarming some local village"

Weiss: "Let's check search and destroy too"

Ryze: "Well, it's southeast"

(Y/N): "Ruby, you found something in Quadrant 6 or nearby?"

Ruby: "Not yet... Oh, here we go! Quadrant 5 needs Grimm cleared out"

Yang: "Sounds perfect!"

(Y/N): "It's not too far from our location. We can regroup during the night and search for any clues"

Mako: "Well, leaders, go do your thing" Me and Ruby tried to register our teams for said missions. We typed our team's names but after finishing we got a message 'mission unavailable to first year students'

Weiss: "Wonderful!"

Blake: "Any other ideas?"

Ruby: "We mail ourselves there!" I laughed

(Y/N): "Petals, we are not mailing ourselves there" I looked behind to see Ozpin coming to us

Ozpin: "Well, that's one option. Unfortunately, we determined that the concentration of Grimm was too extreme for first year students. It seems that particular region is rather popular. In fact, I have the sneaking suspicion that the eight of you will make your way there no matter which jobs you choose" Weiss, Yang and Blake look at Ruby as she scratched the back of her head. My team looked at me unamused, as I just crossed my arms

(Y/N): "I wasn't planning to do anything"

Ruby: "Whatever makes you say that?"

Ozpin: "I'm still curious how you all found yourselves at the docks last semester. I'm interested to know how you really learned about a hideout in the southeast. And I certainly wonder why witnesses reported seeing robots and rose petals in a dance club some time ago"

Ruby: "Um... well..."

(Y/N): "Weird coincidences?"

Ozpin: "I doubt I'll ever find the exact answers I'm looking for, so how about this? Instead of waiting for you all to break the rules, why don't we just bend them?" Ozpin get his scroll and pressed a few buttons. Soon Team RWBY and Team CRMS are registered for that mission in Quadrant 5

Ruby: "We won't let you down. Thank you Professor"

Ozpin: "Do not thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence have carried you far, but you must understand, the things that await you beyond the protection of the Kingdom will not care. Stay close to your Huntsmen at all times, and do exactly as he says. He will be leading you on this mission, and he can have you sent back to Beacon if he finds your skills unsatisfactory. Good luck" he leaves. Us eight soon leave the auditorium

yang: "That wasn't exactly uplifting"

Blake: "But it's the truth"

Ryze: "Inside the Kingdom's walls we are all safe for the most part, but, what waits for us outside wants nothing more than to kill us. If we won't be strong enough we won't survive"

Ruby: "It's gonna be tough, but I know we can do it!"

(Y/N): "We already survived through so much, so what a one small mission outside the Vale can do?" a random student run past us

Random Student: "Hey! Team CFVY is back!" we made our way to them

Blake: "Velvet? Are you okay?"

Velvet: "I'm fine. I had Yatsuhashi to look out for me" she spotted me "Oh, hey (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "Hey Velvet. It's good to see you all made it back"

Weiss: "Your mission was supposed to end a week ago! What happened?"

Velvet: "N-nothing happened. It was just...there were just so many. Oh but don't worry. You first years are just shadowing Huntsmen, so you should be fine"

(Y/N): "Hmmm"

Yang: "Riiiiiiight"

Velvet: "I should go. Be safe, okay?"

(Y/N): "We will. See you later Velvet"

Ruby: "We can do this. We've never backed down before, and we're not going to start now"

Blake: "Right"

(Y/N): "As a great man once said 'Show must go on'"

Ruby: "Besides, it won't be only us out there. We'll be fighting alongside a genuine Huntsman!"

Yang: "Yeah!"

Well, we arrived to the launchpad and the Huntsman we will shadow is... Doctor Oobleck... Great... Ruby and Yang have looks that says "oh no" written on them, Weiss eyes are as big as baseballs, Blake is hunched over in dissatisfaction, I got a look saying 'kill me', Ryze got his head down, Mako was loading his pistol and Sam had a mix of fear and shock on his face

Oobleck: "Why hello, boys and girls! Who's ready to fight for their lives?"

(Y/N): "We are doomed..." I whispered to myself
