*(Y/N) POV*

I continue to watch over our campsite as Ruby was sleeping soundly on my shoulder. And to be honest, I wish something happens for once. No Beowolfs, no sign of any criminal activity, nothing. I just sit there, with my girlfriend and her dog sleeping, while I'm dying from boredom.

(Y/N): "Someone, please, save me from this misery..." I say to myself. I checked my scroll to see we still have ten minutes of our duty.

???: "(L/N), Ruby, you there?" I heard a voice coming from around the corner. I turned around to see Ryze and Yang

(Y/N): "Hey you two. You're here to take the shift?" Yang noticed sleeping Ruby

Yang: "Awww! You two are just adorable. Anyways, yes, we are here to switch you"

(Y/N): "Finally! Good luck, we nearly died from boredom" I picked up Ruby bridal style "I will take this sleeping red riding hood back to the camp. Goodnight you two"

'Why I have a sneaking suspicion these two won't get bored with each other?'

I gently put Ruby back to her sleeping bag to not wake her up. I looked at her sleeping face for a while and I smiled

(Y/N): "Cute" I get to my sleeping bag and lied down, looking up at the night sky through the hole. Thinking

'I did it again. That Beowolf from before... But, how? Think (L/N), think. Ozpin told me they are afraid of people with silver eyes. Let's see, we were fighting while Ruby was giving us support with her sniper rifle, then it tried to attack her... Does the power of silver eyes activates by emotion? I didn't kill it tho. And there is my grandma and her knowledge of silver eyes. She have those implants so I never knew what color her eyes are, but I assume blue as my mom. So she either knew someone with silver eyes or... she had silver eyes...' I got tired of thinking about it and decided to go to sleep

*Next day*

I woke up as Yang and Ryze came from their shift

Yang: "Hey Weiss, Sam, it's your... Ruby? Hey, where's Ruby?" I looked up to Ruby's sleeping bag and I see nothing

(Y/N): "What?! Where is she?!" Zwei runs through the door barking

Yang: "Zwei?"

(Y/N): "Zwei, where is Ruby?"

Oobleck: "Grab your weapons! One of your leaders may be in trouble" We immediately followed Zwei as he took us to a hole in the ground. nearby lies... Crescent Rose. I pick it up and get it to it's scythe mode

Yang: "Ruby's scythe!"

Blake: "Oh no"

Sam: "She must've fallen down..."

Ryze: "(Y/N)..."

(Y/N): "..."

Oobleck: "Oh my. Of course. Of course! Of course! Of course!"

Blake: "What is it?"

Oobleck: "How could I be so stupid?!"

Mako: "Something is wrong, Doctor?"

Oobleck: "Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably by Creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people, commuting the city to the main city developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm's attacks increase, population in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into metro tunnels, and what do they find?! The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!"

Yang: "Doc, what are you saying?"

Oobleck: "My dear, we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network" I had enough. I jumped down while the rest of our group calls my name, but I didn't care. My Rose is in trouble and I need to find her

After landing I spotted two White Fang members

Member #1: "Hey! What're you doing here?!"

(Y/N): "..." I stayed silent as I get closer to them

Member #1: "Stop! Or I will shoot!" I ignored him. He fired a shot but I spin Crescent Rose to block it. Then I get close to them and grab them both by the throat

(Y/N): "Where is Ruby?"

Member #2: "Who?" I slammed him face first into the ground

(Y/N): "Ruby. A small girl in red hood, she have black hair with red tips. You have five seconds to answer or I will behead you" I get Ruby's scythe near his throat

member #1: The girl, she's with Roman. Over there" he pointed

(Y/N): "Thank you" I knocked his head on the wall, rendering him unconscious. After that I made my way towards Ruby and Roman

*Ruby POV*

After falling down, some White Fang members caught me and took me to Roman. I'm trying to fight him but without Crescent Rose I can't do much

'Ohh... I should've take those hand to hand fighting lessons (Y/N) offered me...'

Roman: "Wow! You are much more manageable without that oversized gardening tool of yours" I get up and tried to attack him, but he sidestepped and I fall back down "Oh man. You know, Perry, I really did need this" Roman walks to me and pointed his cane at me "Seriously. How'd you find this place Red?" then a radio on his belt comes to life "Oh what now?!"

White Fang: "Roman! He is here! The second kid with scythe and fire semblance! And he is furio..." transmission is cut off and all we could hear is noise

Roman: "What?! He is here too! Oh great!"

'Fire semblance? It must be (Y/N)! Be safe Cookie' then I heard shouting and slicing noises

???: "Where is my Rose?!" I instantly knew who it was

(Y/N): "Where did you motherfuckes took her?! And where is this bitch Roman?! I will fucking kill him this time!"

*Boom*

Roman: "Whoa!" I see this as an occasion to run. I jumped on Roman's shoulders and pull down his hat. I started running towards the source of explosion. I looked back to see Roman aiming his weapon at me, but before he could a bullet hit him straight to the chest, sending him into the wall. I turn to see (Y/N) running to me with Crescent Rose in his arms

Ruby: "Cookie!" I jump into his arms as he catch me. Then he plant a kiss on my lips, surprising me for a while, but I returned it. After we broke it  we look at each other

(Y/N): "Petals, don't you ever scare us like that. I thought Yang will get a panic attack

*(Y/N) POV*

Ruby: "I'm sorry. I saw some White Fang and wanted to investigate it. When I was going to return, ground under me collapsed and I fell down" she said super fast

(Y/N): "Rubes, it's okay. Next time just wake me up. I will go with you. Oh, I have a flower for you" I handed her Crescent Rose

Ruby: "*giggle* How did you know roses are my favorite?"

(Y/N): "Call it a hunch"

Roman: "ekhm" he get our attention

(Y/N): "Oh right. I forgot I have to kick your ass"

Roman: "You may got past the guards, Blue. But this is where it ends" White Fang members come out of nowhere and started to get around us as Roman aims his weapon at us. Me and Ruby get back to back, preparing for fight when we heard another explosion

*Boom*

We turned to it's source to see the rest of our teams and Oobleck entering the cave and fighting White Fang. Ruby grabbed me by the hood of my jacket and used her semblance to get us near the group. As we escape, we can hear Roman talking

Roman: "Somebody kill them!" They fired shots at us, but Ruby make us dodge. "Attach this cart and spread the word. We're starting the train"

White fang member: "But we're not finished!"

Roman: "Do it or you're finished!"

We get some White Fang members aiming at us as Ruby stopped running. I get her behind me, with Mortem in my arms, getting ready to kick ass. But just before they could attack, Yang used her gauntlets to take two members down and Ryze flew before the rest, hitting them in the skull with dull side of his swords.

Yang: "Ruby!" they got into a hug "I'm so glad you're safe"

(Y/N): "Thanks Ryze. We would be..." I was cut of by a bone crushing hug from Yang

Yang: "(Y/N)! Thanks for keeping the promise"

(Y/N): "Yang... air..." she put me down "Thanks"

Ryze: "What is going on here?"

Weiss: "Are you two okay?"

Ruby: "We're fine, we're fine! But listen! Torchwick's got all sorts of weapons and robots down there"

Blake: "What?!"

Ruby: "Androids, mechs, they're all loaded up on the train cars!"

Oobleck: "Ah, that's ridiculous. These tunnels are sealed. Th-these tracks lead to a dead end"

We hear Roman speaking via intercom

Roman: "Get to your places, we are leaving now!"

The train ahead of us started moving into the tunnel

Yang: "Well, it sounds like they're going somewhere!"

Ruby: "We need backup. Let me call Jaune" Ruby pull out her scroll and tries to contact him, but given we're in the cave, she got no signal "I can't get through!"

Sam: "We're on our own then. What do you think we should do, (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "We have only one thing to do"

Ruby: "We're stopping that train!" We jumped onto last wagon. We noticed one White Fang member standing at the door's edge. We sneak behind him

White Fang member: "I think they're on the..." He was cut off by Oobleck hitting him in the head with his weapon. Ryze opened the hatch to the roof of the car and we all get there

Oobleck: "Hurry, children! We must get to the front and stop this train!"

Weiss: "Uh... Professor?"

Oobleck: "Doctor"

Weiss: "What's that?"

Oobleck: "That, my dear...appears to be a bomb" we get away from the hatch

Ruby: "We've got baddies!" she pointed forward where we could see many White Fang members climbing up to the roof

Oobleck: "Well, I didn't expect them to go-" bomb starts beeping "-easy on us. Time to go!" We jumped onto next car "Blake! Detach the caboose! It will kill us all!"

Blake: "On it" To our surprise, before Blake can do anything, the car detach itself "Huh? It decoupled itself!"

Oobleck: "What?"

Sam: "Mako, did you do this?"

Mako: "Nope"

Yang: "I guess he really don't want us on this train" We looked at the detached cart to see it exploding

Oobleck: "That's not good..."

Ryze: "What gave you this idea? White Fang coming at us or cars detaching themselves and exploding?"

Ruby: "We got another problem" I turned around to see her and Weiss opened another hatch. And inside of it is another bomb...

Blake: "Another bomb?!"

(Y/N): "This is bad, really bad..." Oobleck runs to next car, opens a hatch just to see more bombs

Oobleck: "No. No. No! They all have bombs!" the bomb under us started beeping. We run to the next car and that car detaches and blows up"

Yang: "This doesn't makes sense!"

Ryze: "Um... babe, we got bigger problems now" he pointed to the White Fang members in front of us

White Fang member: "Get the humans!"

We move forward, dealing with, like Ryze called them, 'weaklings'. Another car detach itself and explodes, this time leaving a hole in the roof, letting Grimm in.

Oobleck: "Oh, dear..."

Sam: "What's happening Doctor?" Grimm started to follow the train

Oobleck: "He's leading Grimm to the city!"

Weiss: "What?"

Oobleck: "It's the cars! They detach and explode, creating openings for the Grimm!"

Blake: "That's insane!"

Mako: "You realize we are talking about Torchwick? He lives to do this kind of stuff!" another car detaches itselfdust

Oobleck: "We have to hurry! You three, go below and try to stop those bombs!" he gestured to WBY

Ruby: "What about us?"

Oobleck: "We're going to stop this train"

Ruby: "Yeah, I know. I said that earlier" I, my team, Ruby, Oobleck and Zwei started running forward as I spotted some Atleasian Paladins coming our way

Oobleck: "Up ahead!" one Paladin get on some carts ahead of us "We've got a problem!"

(Y/N): "Mako! Sam!" they nodded and rushed forward.

Oobleck meanwhile changed his thermos into a baseball bat. Zwei jumps up and Oobleck hits him scoring a home run. Dog hits the Paladin and lands safely on his legs, as mech is falling to the tracks. Then, a second Paladin shows up near Zwei. Mako thankfully get Zwei out of the way as Sam cut of some hydraulics connecting robot's leg

(Y/N): "Ryze!"

Ryze: "Alright!" he grabbed me and we rocked towards the mech. Upon reaching some speed he release me as I start the fire going. I cannon balled into the mech's chest, and used Mortem's shotgun mode to fire some Dust inside it's cabin. I get down from it. I the meanwhile Ryze was getting even more speed. Just as I landed he came out of nowhere and cut both Paladin's legs. To finish it off, Mako used his baseball bat to send it off the train

(Y/N): "Okay we are nearly..." I was cut off by another two mechs showing up "Great. Team CRMS, go help girls. Us four can take care of things here!" they nodded and jumped down into the car "Doctor, mind taking that on the left? I will take the one on the right"

Oobleck: "Are you sure (Y/N)? This thing is not that easy to deal"

(Y/N): "Yeah, but if you know their blueprints..." I turned away from the trio "It's an easy job. Petals, help Doctor Oobleck" I walked towards my target "I just want to know how Torchwick get his hands on Atleasian tech?" I was met with nothing "Hello, is anybody in..." It went to punch me but I get away in time "...here. Okay" I turn Mortem into it's scythe mode "Let's dance" I smirked

Paladin went to attack me again, and I jumped to the side. I run towards it as it starts shooting at me, while I spin my scythe to deflect any bullet. I get under mech, in search of one specific spot

(Y/N): "You know, Paladins were suppose to get into mass production two weeks after Torchwick presented them to you. They're stronger and faster than Atlesian Knights..." I found the spot

'Got em'

(Y/N): "But, guess why James delayed their premiere. There was one crucial spot right... here!" I stabbed my scythe between Paladins leg and body. It sparked with some electricity and soon seized itself. "Which makes the mech inoperable when hit. Now, down you go!" I hit Paladin with dull side of my scythe as it falls to the tracks. I looked back to Ruby and Oobleck to see them firing at other Paladin, as it shots up into the air and falls down on tracks. I make my way to them

Oobleck: "Ruby! (Y/N)! You two go ahead!"

Ruby: "But..."

Oobleck: "Don't worry, Ruby. It's time I teach them a lesson" we want to walk forward, but Ruby stopped and looked down at whimpering Zwei

Ruby: "Go" Zwei gets happy and went to fight alongside Doctor. Me and Ruby meanwhile ran forward, just in time to see we're heading towards a dead end

(Y/N): "Oh for fuck..." The rest of our teams get up on the roof

Blake: "What do we do?!"

Sam: "Mako! Can you open it?!"

Mako: "No! We are too far!" Ruby and Weiss smile at each other before Weiss uses her glyphs to cover the entire team in ice shield. We hit the wall and everything goes black

*Later*

I opened my eyes and the first thing I noticed was an alarm siren going off. I get up and look around to spot my team and Team RWBY lying around surrounded by debris. Ruby looks around and I follow her gaze. We saw civilians looking at us, interested in what is happening. Then I remembered that we have a lot of Grimm on our tail. I shot up and shouted at those people

(Y/N): "Everybody! Get away! Grimm are coming! Go!"

Just as I finished King Taijitu emerged from the rubble. It roared at civilians as many types of Grimm followed it. Peoples started to run in fear, with Grimm right behind them. I looked at Ruby to see a determined look on her face. She looked at me and nodded, while I returned the gesture

(Y/N): "Team CRMS... you know what to do..."

They nodded and get their weapons ready. Ryze was floating with his dual swords in hands, Mako got his baseball bat into a mace and put it on his shoulders while Sam got his sword ready to stab. I got my scythe in both hands, starring King Taijitu right in the eyes. It flinches a little but roared at us eight.

(Y/N): "Team RWBY, get ready!" Girls got their weapons out "Back to back everyone! We can't let them outflank us!"

King Taijitu roared and all the Grimm charged at us. Ruby stabbed her scythe's blade into the ground and use it as an axis to spin around and kick Beowolfs surrounding her. Yang jumps into the head of Creep, using it as trampoline. She shoot some Grimm while in air, until some Nevermores get to her as she starts falling. Ryze however catches her bridal style in the air and put her safely to the ground.

Yang: "Thanks babe!" and she went back to the fight

Ryze: "I fucking love this woman..." I get near him, while shooting some Creeps in the head

(Y/N): "Less lovely dovely stuff, more saving Vale from this Grimm invasion" I get back to fight. After dealing with Creeps I went to reload. Unfortunately Beowolfs seems to spot the occasion and started to circle around me. I turned Mortem into scythe and smirked at them "Oi! Bad doggies, down, sit down!" they roared at me and one jumped at me. I step aside, while hooking my scythe on it's neck, cutting it's head off clean. The rest of their pack was not happy, they roared again and rushed me. I duck underneath one, while stabbing it on my blade and using it to throw the second one. One of them get me from behind as I was thrown away a few meters.

(Y/N): "Ohoho. Bad dog, no treats for you" I smirked with closed eyes at it as it roared and rushed me. I opened my eyes, only to see white light. It went for a while and when it calmed down I could see that Beowolf turned into the stone. Then, I got a massive headache "Oh for fuck..." I hold my head and look around. Two other Beowolfs also turned into stone and they slowly turn into dust. "So... this is the power of silver eyes... Cool!" Then the pain comes again and I hold my head "Oh fuck... at least I'm still up..." I look around to see my team and Ruby's team handling the situation pretty well. Then I heard screaming coming from away. I looked up to see Nora riding her hammer like a flying skateboard

Nora: "Nora Smash!" she hit King Taijitu straight in the head. I hear footsteps behind me, so I turn around to see the rest of Team JNPR arriving

Pyrrha: "(Y/N)! What's going on?!"

(Y/N): "Torchwick's plan to breach Vale's walls and bring Grimm here. Go help the rest"

Ren: "Will you be okay?"

(Y/N): "Yeah, just a small headache. Go!" Pyrrha nodded

Pyrrha: "Let's move!" I sit down on some stairs trying to calm my head down. After a minute pain stops and I get back into the fray. While I was dealing with another Beowolf, Jaune runs past me

Jaune: "Okay, who's first?" a giant Ursa lands behind him. I kill my opponent and watch what he will do

'Come on Jaune, you did this before. And now you're better. You can do it!'

Jaune: "O-oh-oh-okay. You're first, huh? Okay, no, that's fine. Totally fine, done this before, done this before..." I noticed Pyrrha also looking at him and nodded at me. I nodded back

Jaune rushed Ursa with a battle cry. Grimm takes multiple quick slashes from Jaune to finally fall back and die. I smiled, seeing that my and Pyrrha's training payed off. I looked to the right to see Sun and Neptune finally arrived to the scene

Sun: "Nobody move! Junior detectives!"

Neptune: "We have badges so you know it's official!" Just then another Ursa slap Ryze towards them. He recover and float in front of the duo

Ryze: "Where the fuck were you two?! I called you thirty minutes ago!"

Sun: "We were..."

Ryze: "Sun, listen, just be quiet and help"

(Y/N): "Sun! Neptune! Go to..." I was cut off by the sound of engines. We looked up to see Atlesian fleet dropping in many Atlesian Knights "Backups are here!"

We continue to fight, I even spotted Mercury and his team helping out. Then a Paladin emerges from the hole we made. Assuming it has White Fang members behind the steer me and Mako get ready to take it out. That's until Zwei and Oobleck gets out of it. We breath a sigh of relief as we started to kill Grimm in our way. Tehn another bullhead gets nearby, with Velvet, her team and Professor Port. Team CFVY jumps down and joins the battle. After Fox killed one Grimm I get near them as Coco walks in front of one Beowolf

Coco: "Nice husstle, Fox. Good job" she looked at the Grimm and spitted "You just destroyed my favorite clothing store. Prepare to die"

(Y/N): "Hey Velvet. As you can see, our mission went great, just like you said..."

Velvet: "Well..." I smiled

(Y/N): "This is the best mission we could've ever got!" I cheered and rushed another pack of Grimm while she get near Coco, trying to help her

Coco: "Hey, come on, you just spend all the semester building that up. Don't waste it here" She walks forward as her handbag changes into a fucking minigun... as she mow the incoming horde with ease.

(Y/N): "Wow..." I noticed one Grimm behind Ruby "Petals! Behind you!" she turned around and shoot the Grimm

Ruby: "Thanks Cookie!" I nodded and then spotted Glynda walking pass me as she uses her semblance to cover the hole, ending the invasion

*A while later*

After killing the rest of Grimm we all stand around as Torchwick is escorted to the bullhead by Mercury and Emerald

Roman: "Oh, I can't believe that you caught me, you've really taught me the error of my ways. He-hey, watch the hat!"

(Y/N): "Knights, wait for a while!" they stop and Roman turns to me

Roman: "Oh, what do you want Blue? You want me to apologize or something?"

(Y/N): "No" I get my fist on fire as I punch him square in the jaw, knocking him out "That's for hurting my Rose, fucker" I spitted on the ground "Take him into the cell and throw the key away" I ordered Knights and they drag Roman inside the bullhead and I make my way back to the group

Ryze: "Fuck... you really punched him..."

(Y/N): "You wouldn't if he would hurt Yang?"

Ryze: "Bitch, I would kill him..."

My team and Team RWBY later get to the edge of the landing platform, overlooking the lake. We're all relaxed as Ruby get her head on my shoulder and Yang get hers on Ryze's

Yang: "Well, we did it"

Blake: "We did it"

Sam: "Could've gone better, but still, good job"

Weiss: "If we don't get extra credit for that, I'm going to be seriously disappointed"

Yang: "Weiss, a two-headed snake literally crushed a bakery. I wouldn't count on it"

Mako: "And a book store, and a nightclub, and..."

Ruby: "Plus, I mean, we didn't solve everything. A lot of people were hurt, and we still don't even know why they did this, or who that mystery girl was"

Weiss: "Well, not every story has a neat and tidy ending"

(Y/N): "We had a plan, but we still had some unknown variables. We just got the cards and tried to play them the best we could"

Blake: "We might not have all of the answers, but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars. And I think that is something we can be proud of"

Ryze: "We got Torchwick behind the bars and we ruined their plans. I say we can relax a little before Festival"

Ruby: "Yeah. And if anyone tries something like this again, we'll be there to stop them"

Yang: "Yay, teamwork, commodore, good guys, go team, alright good job... So, what now?"

Weiss: "I'd suggest training for the tournament, but I think we have that covered at this point"

(Y/N): "Yup!"

Blake: "So then...?"

Mako: "Sleep?"

We looked at each other and nodded

Everyone: "Sleep"

*timeskip 1AM*

'Yay! Another sleepless night! Fuck my life...' then I heard knocking. I opened the doors to see it was Ruby, again

(Y/N): "Let me guess Petals, you couldn't sleep again and come to me" she nodded "What will I do with you? *sigh* Come in, you know where to go" she lied on my bed and I joined her soon as she instantly cuddled to me

Ruby: "(Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Hmm?"

Ruby: "I know it might sound a little... childish, but..."

(Y/N): "Ruby, if it's about our relationship, then don't worry. I won't leave you. I love you Ruby, with all my heart"

Ruby: "Pinky promise?" she hold her pinky up. I got mine and we intertwine them

(Y/N): "Pinky promise" she smiled and get her head on my chest

Ruby: "I love you"

(Y/N): "Love you too" I kissed her forehead "Goodnight Petals"

Ruby: "Goodnight Cookie" and with that we went to sleep

A/N: And here we are. End of Volume 2! Now it's time to start working on Volume 3. Hey, maybe I will catch up with the series before we will see Volume 9, who knows? See you guys on Friday!
